What are you using to do that? I got VR simply to play VRChat correctly, but now I might as well get full use out of it.

How far you leaning in to read the text given current VR headsets do not have a high enough resolution to read a webpage comfortably at the same distance from a virtual screen in front of you as you would a real one?

You got a Vive or Rift? Personally got a Rift coming my way, mainly got it to use Oculus Medium with for 3d sculpting to get a little glimpse into the future of my job as a 3d artist, as I get the feeling that VR modeling will replace traditional means of doing so for games/movies once the software/hardware is a little further ahead.
Current PC hardware isn't powerful enough for detailed zbrush sculpts at the 90hz minimum you want for VR

surprisingly low. just put in the stuff, do calibrations and thats it. literally took 10 minutes, and i could have done it earlier if it wasn't for me not reading the instructions carefully

We need both higher resolution screens, and even more badly need eye-tracking. Fast eye-tracking (we talking before your eye can even refocus after physically moving) will make or break the performance requirements of a higher resolution display since it'll free your GPU to lower the resolution of the sections of the panel that are currently in your periphery, instead of having to deal with a 4k+ full resolution every frame.

the resolution is the only flaw i notice with VR. the human eye can see way more than what VR is offering. i dont like the fact that my monitor can show the game much clearer than the headset

Depends what the VR software is set to. Rift can have it set to the raw image (side-by-side globe-like set of images), or an unwarped view from one eye.

So locomotion-based shit can make people nauseous, but having the game instantly flick you to a new location doesn't.

How does your brain even interpret the latter? It seems like an immersion killer if the 'world' just snaps around you.

No curved screens in any of the VR headsets to my recollection. It's all in the lens plus the VR software to warp the image to work with said lens and counter any chromatic aberration (the real shit caused by the lens themself, not the "cinematic" shit in games).

I just hope I don't have any issues with it. I've had my fair share of 3DTV gaming in the past (RIP you glorious little gimmick), but that's not really the same.

I have a stigma against it because games in the past couple years abused it to make their game look more like shit for some reason, where anyone making a movie would be fired on the spot for trying to do the same, short of some low-budget horror flick.
