what was the last indie game you played and enjoyed?
What was the last indie game you played and enjoyed?
LISA
oneshot
Ultimate Chicken Horse.
Shame the devs think that shit is worth $15 normally. If it was a $5 I'd recommend it to everyone.
i didn't like oneshot
I still want to fug him until he screams for his mama
doki doki probably
niko is not for lewd
>him
terraria
Yes.
he definitely is. What a slut
This, i loved the Hopeful more tho
I was just playing va-11 hall-a. It's pretty nice.
Chili's
Does Ori and the Blind Forest count? Fucking love that game.
If it doesnt, then doki doki
Jill is a top tier cutie
20XX, the music kinda sucks, it's a little on the easy side, and it's lacking content, but the controls are tight and jumping around blowing shit up is great.
I just dislike how many references there are, the game doesn't have an identity of its own, and it can't make up its mind if it wants to be inspired by Mega Man X or classic Mega Man.
Risk of rain baby!
Holy fuck user, you literally think that doki doki is an indie game?
Darkwood
visual novels are not games, lmao go back to your fantasy books
I honestly don't care. Taking off Niko's pants is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.
Which is alright, male or female, my cock is going in 2/3 holes.
CrossCode
I want to finish the game since it says that I can but going ahead without the story will trigger my autism.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Edition with Scented Candle for maximum immersion, only USD $40.13 (a 33% discount)
Transistor, but I haven't played indies in a good while so I know I got a lot of catching up to do.
Is oneshot any good? I never really felt like I got that great of an understanding what kind of game it is from all the trailers and stuff. Which I usually take as a pretty bad sign.
Its a simple adventure/puzzle game with a meta story. Originally you had to beat the game in one session (no saving), hence the title but they changed it fo rthe Steam release.
Hat in Time. I tried OneShot but couldnt really get into it despite loving similar games
GARFELO
Well just today I've played Monolith, Fight n' Rage, Nuclear Throne (together) and Wuppo.
I actually fell asleep while playing oneshot
It's pretty nice, does some cool things I wouldn't have expected from a game made with RPG Maker.
...
As a guy who absolutely loved bastion and transistor, I fucking hated Pyre. I knew it was visual novel going in, but I felt if anyone was going to make me like a visual novel it was supergiant.
I was wrong.
ORLY? I wanted to get it myself for the same reasons, I loved both Bastion and Transistor, but kept pushing it because I have a huge backlog to clear up.
Are the VN parts really that bad?
my indie of the year.
Hollow Knight is the second
...
One shot has too many half ideas. Like good concepts but then never used or elaborated on. Like Niko not being you but someone you're just telling what to do never gets a gameplay application. Even at the end when you're cut off from him, you're still in direct control of him. The meta puzzles were near ideas but never went anywhere. Just 3 weird things, one of which borders the realm of nonsense. Hell, the title feature of being one shot, no saves, you never make any decisions and you're never at risk. What's the point of stressing that so much if you're not going to make me make decisions. It was obvious getting niko home and getting the lightbulb plugged in were at conflict. You needed to make some decisions that stressed that conflict of intrest before the very end.
Niko is adorable though and almost carried the game. I really need to finish my Niko doll before MAGfest.
This guy has the right idea.
It's out?
Its just not what I wanted from a supergiant game. Bastion and transistor barely took player control away while it explained the plot, but visual novels are the exact opposite of that. The writing is good, but there's extremely little voice acting besides odd grunts and there is a metric fuck ton more reading to do than their previous two games.
It also didn't help that I don't really like spirit football
Not him but the VN parts are pretty decent I would say, but the mix of ~10 minutes reading and ~3 minutes playing ball is pretty annoying.
The story gets interrupted constantly and has to move at a strange pacing while the playing parts are done pretty quickly.
It's a shame because the plot and the characters are pretty good/interesting.
I only played a couple of hours but apparently the game opens up later and you can choose matches at free will (?) but I haven't played that far.
No but I played the demo and it was neat.
Night in the Woods
You all can go fuck yourself.
u mad that ur game wanst mentioned?
>there's extremely little voice acting
Holy shit, might give the game a chance just for that.
Devil Daggers was pretty cool. I play it once in a while still.
Seven the Days Long Gone.
You do you
Royce's voice acting in transistor 100% made that character
...
Doki Doki literature club for sure. Was pretty damn amazing.
OP said game.
Cuphead.
I still play it from time to time because I haven't S-ranked everything yet.
Hell ya boys. Good taste.
>mfw I consider Kinetic Novels as vidya let alone VNs
I wish I had one of these dumb Wojaks for >VNs are not games posters
Oh they're video games.
It's just most of them are fucking boring.
>brainletposters are the same people defending vn's
what a surprise
House of the Dying sun
Finding Paradise, when Dr. Watts wasn't making me almost cringe to death.
I liked Hollow Knight up until I got near the end of the game and it started stuttering every minute for 15 seconds each time.
>mfw doing the Colloseum or fighting any Boss that requires good dodging at 12 fps
Was this before the updates?
Nope. It was actually after them. I bought the game ages ago but only now did I think about playing it. Game ran very smoothly up until I killed the first dreamer.
I'm currently playing Kero Blaster. It's surprising how such a game can be so simple in its mechanics and still be so enjoyable.
It's made by the Cave Story guy so in a way it's not a surprise how good it is, but since literally no one talks about it I was expecting that maybe it was disapointing, but nah this shit's good.
I picked up Demon Peak randomly during the sale, when I saw an user in another thread mention it and I've been really enjoying it so far.
Are you really so retarded you can't even make your own shitty wojak edit? Even most normies are capable of this. You're a true loser
Does Grim Dawn count?
Kero Blaster is pretty underrated. As a game, I think it's better than Cave Story, but because it has a forgettable "plot" and characters that give you no reason to care for them it's pretty obvious why it never rose to Cave Story's level of popularity.
They are billions
Momodora.
Nex Machina
Dead Cells, definitely
Slay the Spire
It's the hot new roguelite that I've managed to pour around 30 hours into so far, which is a sign that it's certainly doing something very much right
Has some balance issues though but overall being in Early Access isn't much of a detriment and the devs are responsive with weekly updates (though they're taking the current week of for holidays which is perfectly understandable for sure)
The Frog protag is pretty likable, and the cat boss is kinda hot though
I just finished Unteralterbach and thought it was really funny. Does that count?
Right there.
Stardew Valley
Over 300 hours in that bitch. Probably one of my top 3 games of all time.
Hollow Knight, playing it right as we speak
ugh...
A
HAT
IN
TIME
Does Enter the Gungeon count? I believe Devolver published it. But every Devolver game feels like indie game.
Heat Signiture
It's fun, but not sure about replayability after beating it
Newest that I bought? Axiom Verge, really good game.
Most hours played? Over 1200 in terraria.
>Axiom Verge
Have someone tried to pass repaired Elsenova as a drone? It seems drone does not trigger a dialog and I've been wondering if it affects the ending.
Maybe I'll try that on my next playthrough. I don't have a decent controller to play the game at the moment.
Rain World
bought it too expensive but still an enjoyable game with a fantastic art style and world
A hay in time and divinity 2. Was this the best in due year so far.
Indie* year
Jesus christ user. I already jacked off enough times today. I didn't need to read this shit.
