Damn you're ugly

Damn you're ugly

I wish blinders were banned from competition. If you can't focus on the target, that's your problem.

yore ugleh

>.22LR
Why don't they compete with real guns?

>competition for accuracy
>using a tiny round doesn't help prevent any sort of kick

Gee boss

All I know is when a sport is about a certain skill, they do everything they can to isolate that specific skill. I don't know much about olympic shooting, but I'm sure the blinders are just there to negate all of the variables that don't reflect a person's accuracy.

Guns were designed for killing. You're gonna defend yourself with a .22LR when you hear BOOM BOOM CRASH at your house?

That's an air gun, retard. And it costs more than your annual salary, fucking NEET.

1. That's actually an air pistol
2. Air pistols and .22 are pretty much the only handguns people can own in most countries

Also don't get me wrong, I don't hate .22LR but there should be an Olympic competition for practical weapons. 9mm/5.56/7.62x51, etc.

>9mm
>practical
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA

>air pistol
Oh boy, even worse than .22LR. I can understand bow competitions because bows were actually used for killing at some point in history. But air pistol competition?

Nice meme. Most widely used cartridge in the world sure is bad huh.

...

What is the purpose of the white lion eyepatch? Focus for the other eye? Who designed such a monstrosity?

Makes sense to me.

And that's precisely why modern sports are bullshit. It's nothing but a constant effort to eliminate the human element. With all the equipment and drugs they feed these "athletes" you could put a blind brain damaged chimpanzee out there and he'd still get a medal. It's insulting.

Not /k/ but isn't an air pistol basically just a BB gun?

>not .340

It makes sense in that it's to isolate variables.

Push comes to shove, they can't repeat the exact circumstances for every single shooter, it would be too difficult. The goggles, unrealistic as they may be, are the only reasonable solution.

Kind of, but they use lead pellets and tend to be more powerful. There's even hunting rounds, and with those a 6mm air rifle can decapitate a goose.

I already said. It's because they're legal to own. If you can't own a type of gun you can't practice with it. There was even a big stink about how the British shooting team had to practice in France because they couldn't legally have their competition pistols in England.

It's more of a pellet gun. It's capable of taking small game.

>The goggles, unrealistic as they may be, are the only reasonable solution.
Or you could, you know, let the shooters who can focus better perform better.
