I'm going to have to give it to Splatoon 2 faggots (2 specifically) or Yakuzafags.
I have literally seen a Splatoon 2 fan on Sup Forums dox somebody over posting a well constructed argument on why Splatoon 2 is not as good as 1.
Easton Green
Not sure about Splatoon but Yakuzafags are pretty shit, yeah. MonHunfags are up there, too
Easton Parker
Any fanbase of a Console and not a game.
Jayden Watson
Yes absolutely. Switchfags. PS4fags. 3DSfags. Mustards. Vitards. They're all insufferable for different reasons.
The rare Xbot seems to be the only good ones because they've been effectively out of the console race for so long on Sup Forums.
Dylan Wood
I dont think any other fanbase can top undertale, dark souls, ddlc or fnaf
Julian Wright
Overwatch's?
Austin Bell
In the scope of Sup Forums specifically, user.
For example Sonic in general would be in the running but typically Sonic has pretty good threads on Sup Forums (comfy archie threads, prerelease mania hype threads, etc)
Jason Reed
Any fanbase that prioritizes posting pictures of girls over talking about the game.
Brody Sanchez
The Switch fanbase in general.
Isaiah Myers
Splatoonfags are insufferable furries and pedophiles, but I definitely have to admit that Yakuzafags are irritating in their own right. That series looks so fucking boring and the only reason it's popular is because it's one of the few real PS4 exclusives and le silly Japanese man memes.
Julian Carter
I cannot imagine how you can think Splatoonfags are worse than FE fags, who overrun any Smash, SRPG or JRPG thread with their waifutrash.
Ayden Nelson
Wait, what is the well constructed argument? imo 2 is a million times better than 1 for the specials alone
Dominic Young
There's no such thing as a good fanbase.
Ayden Phillips
Stuff like the persistent map on the gamepad being replaced by a toggleable fullscreen map that blurs your vision of the game behind the map, super weapons having unwieldly startup and vulnerability frames cutting down on the intensity and action of the gameplay immensely, the Splatoon 2 miiverse equivalent not having comments or any sort of connectivity and just posts and "likes", leaning heavily on Splatoon 1 content and essentially being a safe annualized sequel to one of the most creative games that exists. It was a huge list though.
Ryder Brown
>Yakuzafags The Yakuza fanbase was fine before 0 though.
Oliver Brooks
>super weapons having unwieldly startup and vulnerability frames That's a positive though. Specials were free kills before. Now you can't just be a sniper and pop a bubble when someone manages to get close to you to kill it. At most you can pop the balloon that won't let you attack immediately
Lincoln White
>persistent map on the gamepad being replaced by a toggleable fullscreen map I prefer having it on the main screen. I don't have to adjust my eyes and it lets me hold the controller in a more comfortable way. >super weapons having unwieldly startup and vulnerability frames cutting down on the intensity and action of the gameplay immensely Weaker specials are a good thing. The entire game isn't decided by them anymore. >Splatoon 2 miiverse equivalent not having comments or any sort of connectivity and just posts and "likes" Never used it, don't care. Some people might, though. >leaning heavily on Splatoon 1 content and essentially being a safe annualized sequel to one of the most creative games that exists I'm glad they didn't pull a Brawl and make the game shit.
Parker Adams
Well just for defending Rockstar at the moment GTA fans immediately win the retarded past all expectation trophy. Second would be console warriors. Third would be Soulsborne fags for having such great games to discuss and pissing it all away into console war tier bullshit arguing.
Austin Peterson
It would probably be easier to list the few threads that are good. There is only a handful. Pikmin Threads are good for example.
Xenoblade threads went from great (1) to meh (X) to an absolute shitfest (2).
The cake goes to nier automata people. The way people on here unironically reference this halfassed highschool philosophy tier story as a magnificent and deep work of art makes me wonder if I'm the only person above the age of 15 on this board.
A special mention goes to every thinnly veiled Sup Forums thread that results in endless shitflinging towards americans etc. Its not a fanbase, but these thread are so dumb it is depressing.
Jason Nelson
>Xenoblade threads went from great (1) to meh (X) to an absolute shitfest (2). This, but not a problem of the fanbase. I don't care how much you cry about people posting cute girls, but that is not the reason the threads are shittier
Noah Ward
spbp
Jayden Watson
>still mad it sold well
David Davis
>Xenoblade threads went from great (1) to meh (X) to an absolute shitfest (2). Just like the games.
Xavier White
Bloodborne consistently has the best threads on Sup Forums. Actual discussion about vidya is so rare on this board that it isn't hard to discern good threads when they do pop up.
Adrian Miller
No, it's not. Splatoon 2 feels significantly less interesting to play because matches aren't erupting into bedlam constantly, I'm not gonna be some wannabe esports faggot and say that it's better exclusively because it's more "balanced" (aka significantly toned down the gameplay) making it boring to play and wasn't even poorly balanced in the first place. Go be a competitive fag about Mario Kart or ARMS because it's just as laughable as trying to be one for Splatoon. The idea that just because matches were chaos they were determined by the supers is entirely false. A well timed super could be devastating but just any old super would do fuck all. >Specials were free kills before Lmfao no. >The game was decided by them Is this nigga fucking serious? Did literally a single Splatoon 2 fag even touch 1 ever? Splatoon 1's supers were useful if you got the drop on people and impotent otherwise. They feel like hot, clunky ass to use in Splat2n.
>I prefer having it on the main screen It's objectively worse on the main screen. Maybe not if it had been a small corner map. But as a fullscreen map that intentionally obscures your vision of the game in a game where your opponent might just be a ripple in that moment is objectively bad game design.
Im still mad Pokemon 3DS sold well because it showed Gamefreak they could make zero effort and still make many dollars. So yes, I'm mad Splatoons devs now also know they can make a shitty annualized sequel and make many dollars.
Noah Richardson
Mostly by shifting focus towards short-ranged offense. They nerfed strong specials, strong inkers and strong long-ranged weapons in 2, and as a result the supposedly "jack of all trades" Splattershot and Nzap became the single logical choice, since nothing outclasses them enough at something to be worth the drawbacks, and almost nothing counters them (with few stoic remains of old meta like Range Blaster struggling due to lack of appropriate support).
Julian Wilson
There's hardly any splatoon threads on Sup Forums though?
Oliver Ortiz
Pc fanbase for sure. Seeps in through cracks and starts shitposting whenever. I'm convinced they're the primary cause for waifu fagottry and responsible for the decline of any other game fanbase. Absolute cancer.
Ryder Bailey
This and Guilty Gear threads.
Samuel Mitchell
>But as a fullscreen map that intentionally obscures your vision Nigger, you had to literally take your eyes out of the TV to see the map before. If you just want to see ink levels, just tap the map button twice
Jace Johnson
>b-bbut muh sales OP is right, you guys are cancer
Joshua White
I honestly believe mustards are responsible for at least like 90% of Sony vs Nintendo shitposting.
Jayden Torres
Oh, I remember you, you're that faggot who had his ass hurt when in a thread a few hours ago people told you to fuck off because all of your arguments about Splatoon 1 being better than 2 were shit. Nice to know you're still mad, get a trip so I can filter you.
Austin Davis
>Glance down for a moment >Hard or time consuming at all Wew fucking lad.
Brody Cruz
>It's objectively worse on the main screen. No it's not. In the first game, you had a tiny-ass screen to look at and had to take your eyes away from the TV. It's better now because you don't have to adjust your eyes between the two. It forces you to hold the controller in a specific way, and doesn't let you select teammates or beakons without removing your hand from the shooting controls. >Maybe not if it had been a small corner map That would be worse. Splatoon's map gives too much information for it to be present at all times. >in a game where your opponent might just be a ripple in that moment is objectively bad game design. Are you opening the map in the middle of combat or some shit like a retard? You get a general idea of where the enemy can be just by where their paint is.
Grayson Edwards
>Tap a button twice >Hard or time consuming at all Wow fucking lad.
Levi Jones
fuck off Eric
Dylan Nelson
>Sup Forums is one person Splat2n fags everyone.
Still doesn't effect any of the points made against Splat2n
Jackson Morgan
>Not checking your map in the heat of the moment to see if there was someplace you were needed more What I did constantly in Splatoon 1 and it's straight up not possible with the clunky Splat2n map.
Brayden Diaz
topu fucking keku. This dude unironically thinks the mess that was S1's "Balance" is good. Yeah, man I fucking loved killed by 6 attack up Burst Bombs from an Eliter or getting anally reamed by a panic button Kraken, or getting deleted from the other side of a map by an Inzooka that was being fired off blindly. S1 specials were broken as fuck and I'm glad literally all of them were done away with. Same with the weapons. Dynamo, Eliter, Zimi, Tentakek and 96 Deco fucking ruined the game.
Kevin James
It's totally possible, and even easier because you don't have to waste time adjusting your head/eyes in order to view the second screen.
Josiah Jackson
> Sup Forums does nothing but shitpost saying the game will bomb >game sells like hot cakes >they shit post saying the game will die out >it goes onto being a big hit with a sequel
Learn to eat crow niggas
Luis Gomez
was he right?
Michael Sullivan
I'm literally a massive Splatoon fan that hates the garbage direction the series took.
Jaxson Hughes
>Mostly by shifting focus towards short-ranged offense. Range was always kinda shit in Splatoon just by how it functions. Close-range weapons have been meta since day 1 and will likely always remain that way.
Thomas Phillips
explain
Bentley Collins
I was so happy to see there were no attack ups anymore. I mean, I had to rely on them because otherwise people would kill me 2 hits before I could. My main problem are dualies though. Very easy to just move all over the place. As a user, you have complete unpredictability.
Hunter Ross
>the direction what m8 it's literally the same game unless you're referring to the singleplayer?
doesn't even matter cause salmon run is the best mode anyway
Brayden Watson
You being mad? No, you're right, it doesn't. People already responded to you then and they are responding now. And don't fucking bullshit me it wasn't you if you're going to literally paste the same shit you wrote back then. Just go be mad somewhere else if all you can do is bitch about having to click a button to see the map instead of entirely looking back from TV to your gamepad to use the map in S1. Or how broken specials were in S1 compared to S2 where you actually have to prepare before using them instead of treating every single one as an instant win button.
Liam Kelly
They nerfed his main so he's salty.
Dylan Ortiz
All I remember from his video is "I can't aim for shit" because there's no console autoaim, and "The squid jump is a suicide button" which means he's a retard for using it in non-safe spaces
Andrew Roberts
Metroidfags
Justin Perez
Wannabe esports faggotry instead of a fun hectic time. Splatoon was always casual and moving the game into being a pseudo esport is gay as fucking hell.
Jayden Reed
How did they do that in the slightest? By adding a spectator mode?
Josiah Brown
Go play CoD MW3 if you just want to get free kills. At least there you have to actually kill and not die to get free extra kills
Christopher Jenkins
>Dynamo, Eliter, Zimi, Tentakek and 96 Deco fucking ruined the game And now Splattershot (and its bro) ruins the game in soltitude. Is this the future you wanted? The future of zero fucking diversity? When everything was overpowered, nothing was, and that was the case with 1. It was balanced because even shit like Aerospray was broken (compare PG to S2 RG), and the huge variety of weapons on enemy team meant you almost always had someone you could go after with some degree of consistency.
Asher Wood
>sloshing machine >forge pro >both heavy splatlings >brella >not meta
Kayden Hall
>REEEE ITS YOUI KNOW IT IS No, that user had good points and everyone seeing them and you all chimp out to them (because that wasn't the first time) has just made more people realize Splatoon 2 is praised by faggots who didn't play 1 or ever understand what was good about it.
Robert Campbell
>ywn see waifufags wiped off the face of Sup Forums forever would really clean up the board desu
Tyler King
I don't know what you are talking about. I see a lot of weapon variety every match. Not to mention Splattershots with attack+ were really fucking common in 1 since you could kill in a fraction of a second. I'm glad I can now use my jet squelcher without the fear of a sniper killing me with 50% charge
Kayden Walker
Splatoon 2 nerfed the fun not just the performance. It's blizzard tier rebalancing.
Cameron Reyes
Haha is there anyone who unironically use the splat brella?
Jaxon Sullivan
Lol, it's just the guy from a threadd last night who got so assblasted that people tore doen his shitty argument that he's shitting on the whole fanbase now. Get a fucking life, you petulant child. And nice made up story about a doxx
Nathaniel Howard
See
Andrew Moore
It's unironically one of the best slaying weapons in the game, and has a great special. Did you drop the game after the first week or something?
Nolan Wright
Im playing it right now is so good and easy to learn but hard to get good, what else you want for a shooting game user?
Leo Martinez
And yet, 3-liners and snipers were always in the meta in 1, and 4-liners got their fit with Heavy's release. Now it's almost exclusively 2 and 2.5-range weapons.
Connor Brown
> is there anyone who unironically uses a shotgun in shooters? Literally my favourite kind of weapons. Not to mention the shield is extremely good for Tower Control, Rainmaker and even Clam Blitz now
Angel Perry
Ahh wow it really IS the same dude presenting the same argument over and over. The difference between the S2 Splattershot being broken and the S1...everything is that the S2 can actually be brought back to balanced if they nerf the Splashdown, and outside of that, the SSPro, Brella, Splatling, Charger, Roller and arguably the new Squeezer are all right up there in the meta, which is a lot more than what can be said about S1 and how the game revolved around which Dynamo stacked the most Quick Respawn.
Face it, Splatoon devs saw the absolute mess S1 was, and made it extremely clear they would never let it get that bad again, and nerfed or removed all the terrible shit present in S1. By the end of S2's lifetime, the game will be extremely fun and balanced, the same of which cannot be said about S1. But go ahead and enjoy your broken, dying game. Can't wait to see this thread a 7th time after they shut down the Wii U servers!
Adam Fisher
Speaking of blizzard, you should go back to playing their shit game. Sounds like you'd prefer something mindless and effortless, where your only responsibikity is holding the fire button until everyone slams their ults together. Looks like a game that requires some amount of thought is just not as fun for you. Sorry champ
Ethan Collins
And you believe this balancing wouldn't have happened otherwise? That competitive is the reason your main was nerfed? also >inkzooka >kraken >fun
Tyler Perez
>ywn see waifufags wiped off the face of Sup Forums forever
Go back to Neogaf.
Kayden Reyes
The guy got doxxed a week or so ago. I've been sitting in on you faggots in the Splatoon 2 threads since the last splatfest (when it happened) because I just recently got the game and a switch so I saw both times.
Daniel Torres
>implying most BB threads don't devolve into a shittiest war between DS2 and 3 with the inevitable "platinumed in 10 days!!!"
Jack Wilson
I'm thinking of buying S2, is it worth $60 if I don't already have S1? How would you rate S2 on it's own merit vs compared to S1?
Jose Murphy
>And yet, 3-liners and snipers were always in the meta in 1 96 and Cherry were only meta because they had two of the best possible kits in the entire game Berry Pro was only meta because of damage up and Suction Rush, the latter of which is done better by the Splash E-Liter/Bento were only good because of damage up to fix their charge time issue, as evidenced by Splat 2's chargers being shit. Even then, it was almost always better just to have a Range Blaster as the slaying weapon on a team.
Alexander Lee
Literally my only problem with Splatoon 2 is the matchmaking, but only because I'm latin american. In 1 I was instantly paired up with 7 nips. Laggy, yes. But very quick matchmaking. Now I get timed out 1 out of 7 times because very few people buy Nintendo consoles in south america. Not to mention I'm playing on a friend's switch, which is the european version, and the save files are region locked, so I either have to buy an european copy of the game and be locked for european splatfests or start all over again. Also no disconnects via LAN, only 1 via Wifi
Blake Price
Good game on it's own. Good but not amazing like 1 if you played 1.
Ignore the Sup Forums threads, as clearly demonstrated why itt.
Bentley Baker
>best slaying weapon >sprinkler as sub >can't paint the floor quickly >very slow time to kill >can literally just shoot the shield and they can't do shit since the second they drop it they die.
Elijah Lopez
I saw that "argument" and it was certainly not a good one. Maybe you should get over it instead of attempting to drag it on in such a desperate manner.
I will tell you a good reason why the Splatoon fanbase is terrible, something that you didn't bother to do even though you made this thread. They can't discuss anything about the "meta" of the game without it immediately turning into a shitflinging contest and any gripes with the game are usually met with a "git gud" type response.
Don't even bother with this idiot. He can't seem to grasp a simple concept like not looking at something means you're not looking at it.
Cooper Kelly
>sloshing machine Solely because it excels at disposing of 2-liners, a counterpick to the meta. It used to be far stronger in 1, yet still was underused- guess why. >Forge Forge struggles in the same way Range does >heavies never were meta lol >brella Sorta dead after double inking nerf (to both main and special). Not worth it anymore.
Isaac Ortiz
It has a shield that can be dropped/brought up very quickly. It doesn't need anything you listed. >>sprinkler as sub Yeah, to build Inkstorm even faster. >>can literally just shoot the shield and they can't do shit since the second they drop it they die. And you're forced to keep shooting it because the moment you stop they just fire at you.
Gabriel Russell
You wot m8. You can kill very quickly. And the shield dettaches, meaning that you can either escape or continue being covered by it as it moves closer to the enemy
Elijah Miller
Splat Brella is strong as fuck. >can tank 300 damage >has damage resistance on Splatlings meaning you can walk right up to one and shoot them in the face >tanks panic button Splashdowns and shoots the person who was expecting a free kill >slippery as fuck with some run speed >movement is extremely important, have to slide behind your shield perfectly to avoid getting deleted by all the Nzaps and Splattershots It's so good they keep nerfing it's kit, but I'm never gonna stop using it, it's the best answer to all the semi autos in this game.
Tyler Adams
>Glancing somewhere being remotely on par with having your vision of the game totally obscured Holy shit. Splatoon 2 fags everyone.
Joshua Thomas
Many weapons that have been nerfed still see play.
Cameron Lewis
woomy
Nathaniel Gonzalez
Sure he did. Just guve me a link then, if you've been closely monitoring these threads, and aren't just an assravaged moron
Wyatt Gomez
>Resorting to shit like "Go back to overwatch" and painting your critics as one person Clearly Splatoon 2 is just perfect and flawless and thats why you're resorting to these kinds of arguments.
Jaxon Jones
If its so good they should nerf how fast the brella opens
Angel Gomez
>Quick Respawn That is the single problem with 1, and arguably a much easier fix than rebalancing the mess that is Spla2n right now. Maybe invincibility specials should get startup time, and a few other misc things, not much more.
Elijah Reyes
Don;t listen to the guy who first responded to you. Both games are a lot of fun and are functionally nearly identical if you're not autistic
Adam Campbell
>Solely because it excels at disposing of 2-liners Soley because it has a great kit and is more consistent than last game. >It used to be far stronger in 1 If you stacked a ton of damage. It still had really inconsistent falloff damage and bad kits. >Forge struggles in the same way Range does Range doesn't struggle, and is still good in this game. Forge is good after the projectile speed buff, and it's the only good bubble blower in the game. Although it will likely be usurped by the Foil Squeezer whenever that comes out. >never were meta lol It is now, faggot. It builds Stingray quickly, safely, and is one of the only ranged weapons that can do something when a close-range gets in its face. >Sorta dead after double inking nerf (to both main and special). Not worth it anymore. The paint nerf wasn't even that big of a difference. Sure, it can't just cloud zone for free anymore but Inkstorm is still a great tool for applying offensive pressure. It's still seeing use.
David Hernandez
I'm not digging through and finding that so you can do further things with that information just because he blew the lid off of this bad sequel.
Dylan Carter
waifufags distract others. Sup Forums whines about meatspace girls taking attention away from discussion, but views 2D and 3DCG girls as different when really they're all doing the same thing. Try and tell me that we'd be WORSE off without waifufagging. never been to neogaf either.
Jeremiah Turner
>removing your eyes from the screen in a video game being even remotely on par with a quick button press to add/remove information from the place you're already looking Holy shit. Poor Wii U fags, everyone. Gotta justify that $250 paperweight and shill threads from 2012-2015.
Elijah Roberts
I'm simply painting one retard as a retard. Clearly I was correct, not only from your initial arguemtn but from the follow up of, "if you don't think what i said is true, you're a fanboy who thinks the game is perfect." I just don't want a game where matches are decided exclusively by who whens when every spams their ults at eachother. From your comments, it seems like you're the type of moron that does want that, so, again, Overwatch would suit you
