Tfw you will never get through your backlog

I only got 14 games left, I think it's doable
But I will buy 15 on the steam sale so I'm probably shooting myself in the foot over here
The pic makes it look like Daisy has suddenly gone into labor in public and a scumbag is taking photos.
That's kinda hot...
>TAKE IT OUT OF MY ASS
I’m not planning to buy anything in the beginning part of 2018 (pretty sure I’m clear at least through E3) so I want to focus on all the shit I bought and never did anything with.
Also thinking of taking a serious stab at Kingdom Hearts.
How do people even have massive backlogs?
Are their standards just that low or what?
im not a numale soyboy so i actually only buy games that i intend to complete. not le epic soy sales
she's being forced to watch Kylo fuck some dark side slut
I just keep going back to Mount and Blade...
Backlogs aren't just games bought, they can be games people plan to play. If you include previous gens, there's a lot of great games out there.
Most of your backlog is probably shit not worth playing desu
I was only able to start like 5 games I think and only really finished 1 but I still keep buying more. why
>Nier Automata(finished)
>Persona5(stopped in boat level)
>Gravity Rush 2(golden girl part)
>Mario Odyssey(finished kinda)
.BOTW(currently playing)
>Started working on my backlog last xmas
>got an mmo for xmas
>got mmo addiction
>backlog has grew al year
>mfw
I cut down my backlog to around 60 games that I really want to play.
And it will stay like that for years since I'm stuck on a fucking laptop doubled down with a huge lack of interest towards anything.
Which MMO and why have you not quit yet?
I'm sure you can cut it down to 30
you sure type like one, though
One must imagine Sisyphus happy.
I can cut it to 0 to be honest.
>checks backlog
>126 games
>tfw there will always be good games to play
yeah it's a tragedy
It doesn't help when like 10 of my backlogged games on highest priorities are jrps's
Do it, free yourself
ESO for console.
I've not quit because I have invested too much time in it to quit.
My solution is by having only 2 games installed on my pc
Gotta take a little time
See you in 2 years.
Just quit, don't think about it, just do it.
I'll try and hit that 200 completed games milestone and give up for a year or two.
>tfw too dumb to appreciate episode 8
did your soydad teach you that one?
Post the webm you little fuck
MMOs are soyfun.
Just drop it.
>tfw have no backlog becuase most games every year are indie trash and failed potential AAA games
Resident Evil 7, Nioh, Blue Reflection, Nights of Azure, Persona 5, Hollow Knight, Rain World, Horizon, Zelda
and that's just from this year, and Monster Hunter is out in a month. Fuck me.
You just need to warp your head around never being able to. Video games are pretty young so we have that weird idea that we can play everything. Just think that it's like the fact that you'll never be able to read every good book and see every good movie.
What's soyfun
>wanting to get through your backlog
Say you do that, what then? No more games to play, nothing to look forward to. I dread the day that my backlog will be empty, if that day ever comes.
Horizon and Zelda are good mate.
If you're gonna play any of those games soon play Zelda, and if you're still in the mood for that type of game then play Horizon.
>daisy
>labor
pick one
My problem currently is a few things put together:
>Was doing fine on backlog, some stuff here and there but otherwise not much to really play.
>Vita gets hacked, love JRPGs, so here we go
>Get a PS4 months later (December 2017), capitalize on some deals that month + buy shit I couldn't play on my bootleg PC setup
>First half of 2017 happens
Haven't recovered since. I went from having fuck all to play to having right now a shitter of stuff. Heavy workload and MHW around the corner is not helping one bit. Just getting around to tackling Cold Steel games which I won't even beat both before MHW due to graduate school applications bullshit.
On the flip side, I could buy MHW and make that my only purchase for the year and still be good on gaming for the rest of it.
I've played hours and hours of all those games, I just haven't finished any of them. I need to get to it.
All [buzzword of the month]-funs aren't actually fun. They're addictive buzywork that cost money while distracting your brain for a while and leaving you depressed in the long term. you aren't actually enjoying yourself while you play them, but you don't feel any existential dread while you do it so you keep at it.
>tfw playing through Super Nintendo backlog
So many games I've never played when I had a super nintendo as a kid. I remember the only games I had were Zelda, Super Mario World, NBA JAM, Earthbound, and Super Turrican. Playing through Chrono Trigger right now for the first time and it's very good. Also playing Fire Emblem 4 and other unlocalized japanese games.
>depressed in the long term. you aren't actually enjoying yourself while you play them, but you don't feel any existential dread while you do it so you keep at it.
Just curious, but why does this happen?
>tfw you don't care enough to have a backlog
One game for life at the moment and I'm content
What game nigga
Nigga it's literally the easiest thing, there's 2 methods, you either
>Start from the shortest games and break em up with a big one in the middle (3 short 1 big, 3 short 1 big or whatever)
>Start from interest, the game you want more to play, and go from that.
And of course, never drop a game once you started it, unless you dislike it.
If you leave it without playing for more than 3 days you'll never pick it up again.
>just finished Firewatch last week
>just finished The Order 1886 10 mins ago
Holy shit I was not expecting that fucking abrupt end like that what the fuck? Also, Firewatch's conclusion was underwhelming as fuck too. I have no fucking clue what to play next since I spend majority of my time on WW2, Fortnite and NBA2K18.
>tfw multiplayer eats up most of your gaming time and your backlog continues to grow
Grim Fandango
Just a matter of time, boys. Just a matter of time.
>Battlefront 2 and Last Jedi both underperformed
Feels good
would you look at your post? just read it again and tell me you're not a fucking retard.
Good luck user, you need like 10000 hours to go through that list.
You can probably quadruple that considering all of the sequels and spinoffs I don't add until I finish a game. The fucking JRPGs alone will haunt me.
I miss the old buzzwords.
Humble Bundles
A LITTLE TIME TO THINK THINGS
HOH HOH
ya nigga
Soon, it too shall come to an end.
Looks like someone is going to town on her backlog desu
>treating video games like work
what the fuck lads
>Also thinking of taking a serious stab at Kingdom Hearts.
Fuck off with that lame shit
No, I treat it like a hobby, and to be well versed in my hobby I need to play a lot of video games.
What are the exclamation marks for?
I've totally lost track of the backlog I've accumulated over the years. There's all sorts of PS2, DS, 3DS, Wii, and Wii U games I never completed or attained my set goals.
Never the less I want to make a goal of at least completing BotW and Earthbound on Wii U before buying a Switch.
>tfw you started your backlog when you liked video games, but now you're 30 years old, jaded as fuck, and for the most part can only play the games you liked as a child
just end it bros
Guys, what the fuck.
Past gens man.
Did you play all the great games from the past 30 years?
>le doing underbite is acting meme
Why is this a bad thing? Having too many games to play? Is gud no?
i don't do backlogs
i just play whatever i feel i wanna play
whenever a game gets boring i just quit and delete it
Just finished Bayonetta. Now i'm still stuck on West of Loathing and Vaporum.
the depression part? probably because it doesn't improve your life and you only really notice it when you aren't playing/distracting yourself
Like fun?
>can only play the games you liked as a child
why, god?
That's great and all, but why do you need to be "well versed" in a fucking hobby? It's a hobby, not a profession user. Do you plan on playing professional video games for money?
I really need to get away from Sup Forums for at least a while, I spend way too much time here.
>shower
Just wanna play video games
>tfw going through so many great snes and gba games
Summon Knight swordcraft story is probably my favorite gba game. Terranigma is fucking great and I wish I played it sooner.
>tfw plan to start a review/gameplay channel just to force myself to play my backlog
>have gameplay footage of about 15 games I've finished (one 500gb HDD full)
>too lazy to cut together any videos
This, holy fuck
>Wanting to run out of games to play
>why do you need to watch a lot of films if you want to be a film connoisseur?
>why do you need to read a lot of books if you're interested in literature?
>why do you need to paint a lot of paintings if you're interested in painting?
>we are the last generation of humans with the potential to complete our vidya backlogs and play every great game
>even kids born 10 years ago have started too late and will never get the chance
>but we'll never play all the good games that come out after we die
>tfw I only played RE7 and Xcom 2 WoT from this year's roster.
>only 20 games finished this year
>9 in 2016
>27 in 2015
>41 in 2014
Best thing is a coop game you can finish with someone.
>Quit my job in 2016 to finish college
>Moved back in with my Dad because I couldn't afford rent
>No money for new vidya
>Have just about finished my backlog now
>sleeping only 7 hours
If I'm going to get through any of the VN or VN-like "games" in my backlog I need a portable VN reader or something, I just can't read that shit while sitting at my monitor.
>Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
wanna play the coop campaign together?
Why not?
I didn't make that image, I just posted it as a representation of how I spend way too much time on Sup Forums.
I remember getting Fate/Stay on my phone years ago. Think I used a program to convert it.
If you're enjoying it sure. I'm not going to quiz you on your video game knowledge tomorrow. Hope you remember to have some fun.
>buy game
>play it for a while
>new game youve been looking forward to comes out
>buy and play that for awhile
>couple of games youve always wanted to try out goes on sale
>buy those
and so on
see, when you actually enjoy playing games instead of spending all day shitposting on games you hardly know about, you end up having massive backlogs.
i honestly dont mind this because this means theres always a game to play.
>have a backlog
>want to get though it
>instead load up multiplayer game #3309
>have to go to sleep
>"maybe tomorrow"
>same shit happens again
>stop squirming, take that backlog
I just want delete it all, burn it and be done with it
Sorry, I started playing FEAR's expansions which I never played before.
Order them by time
howlongtobeat.com
Play the ones you can with friends.
Aight.
>sleeping more than 6 hpirs
