This seems neat, but playing single-player games with sizable MP backlogs is challenging.

Megabyte Punch was really fun. No ragrets purchasing, 7 hours played. Clocked it.

>tfw I bought most of the $5 tier games that are any good and the only games left are too expensive for me

Hotline Miami
Terraria
old games like Portal, Half-Life, GTA:SA

Cant get any better.

I literally just took my favourites from my library and used steamDB to sort which are under 5 bucks and ordered them by the ones with the highest overall review ratings, so these are the first 24 by general rating of my favourite games for under 5 bucks.

If you're missing any of these you could do much worse than grabbing one.

>No ragrets

>fez
>Buying VtMB

nah mate

>smash bros-esque beat em up/fighting game
>no online
Fucking.
No.
Don’t care how good the game is, i’m not giving money to a developer who is obviously a complete fucking retard or is allergic to money

fez is fucking great, and if you haven't played it yet or are avoiding it because the guy who made it is disagreeable then you are doing yourself an immense disservice.

hard recommend

...

Slavistan is a fun little 40p time waster

I don't know why I enjoy this so much
it is basically halfway between an extremely simple city builder and an extremely simple god game
I love the shit out of it and recommend giving it a try

Fez isn't "fucking great" nor is it horrible. It's a 6/10.

I was looking at Invisible Inc. Should I buy the DLC as well or is it unnecessary?

I'M MEEEEELLLLTING

Is this a place I can ask for suggestions?

>kino
oh you're one of THOSE autists

I would definitely describe it as fucking great
the traversal puzzles are simple but the world is expansive, beautifully made and extremely varied. The music is 10/10, and the areas that marry music and movement are absolutely worth experiencing. It's cheap, very large, simple and unassuming, and well executed on every front. That sets it well above a 6/10 for me, and at under a dollar it completely earns my recommendation.

I would recommend the DLC exclusively because I like the game so much, but I don't think you'll be missing out if you pass it over. If you get the base game, play a little, and then find you like it a lot then pick that shit up next sale or something

If you want to command an army of huge-dicked Swadian serfs and purge filthy Sarranids, buy Mount and Blade Warband for 4.99

Who is that semen demon

Damn dude I just fell in love.

I feel vindicated knowing there are other people who love this shit too now because I've always hesitated to recommend it to others

seriously it feels so mechanically simple I've always second guessed the joy I get from it

I have Crusader in a genre I define as Base/City Builders

Lost Technology is Sengoku Rance with real time battle.

Sleeping Dogs is AMAZINGLY kino.

Just a shame it comes with ALL the DLC, including the stuff that maxes out your police and triad rep which is a pity. Still, immensely fun to play and still the best combined karaoke/cockfighting simulator on the market.

Cool, haven't played this one. Are there any more cheap fantasy adventures on steam? I'm on a binge.

Zombie Night Terror is a great Lemmings clone.

Grabbed this on a whim and actually really enjoyed it, if you like an entertaining puzzle game I'd suggest it wholeheartedly.

The original Deus Ex is less than $1. If you haven't played it yet for some reason what the fuck are you doing?

Dropsy is a surreal adventure pont and click game with nice animation and no dialogue.

getting a core message

despite how much of a cuck the creator is, Fez is a legitimately 10/10 game. It's fucking incredible
