I don't know. My best guess is that when I actually do play games, I always tend to go for 100% completion on them, so I think that my brain has a compulsion to try to read everything it could on Sup Forums, because of the same "got to complete everything" urge.

I good tip I've heard is to use a sort of mindfulness/meditation technique, where you take just several seconds to close your eyes and clear your completely. Draw all your attention to the sensations in your body - a draft of air, your ass on the seat, your clothes on your skin, so forth, and also to your breathe. Breathe in for four seconds, breathe out for four.
