He thinks Skyrim is the best Elder Scrolls game

There are other Elder scrolls games?
daggerfall shits on every other elder scroll game
Well, I've only played Oblivion and Skyrim. Both of which are amazing games but Skyrim is more polished and has a more interesting world. Put 200+ hours into both though.
>He cares about Elder Scrllos games at all
it's the only good rpg franchise and the only fantasy world in gaming worth a damn,
>he thinks the Elder Scrolls games are good
1. Morrowind
2. Oblivion
3. Skyrim
The other games are old and irrelevant, can hardly call them games and anyone who says otherwise is a nostalgic hipster contrarian.
Actually it's
1.Oblivion
2.Skyrim
3.Morrowind
I've played morrowind and it's garbage take off your nostalgia goggles fag
played oblivion and skyrim before morrowind
what makes morrowind worse than the other two
the combat meme isn't good enough, all TES games have shit melee combat
Elder Scrolls is literally the most developed fantasy setting in gaming, bar none, it's not even close.
Overall Halo and TES stand far above every setting born in gaming with the amount of lore created.
Sup Forums doesn't want to admit that all TES games, including arena, were influential to the genre
the combat in morrowind isn't shit. anybody who insinuates it's shit is both a casual and doesn't understand the concept that the game is gauging your character's skills not yours.
morrowinds combat system is the single best casual and brainlet filter i've ever seen in any game
>combat isn't shit
>entire game is trivialized by marksman
lol no
DnD games have lore far better than what TES has.
I don't even like most of the TES games, but I've got to admit that.
Even singular, non-series games like Arcanum has far better lore than anything TES comes up with.
Go play Morrowind right now.
the most ironic post of the year
same thing happens with skyrim. any ranged weapon period can make any game moot because the player is ALWAYS smarter than navmeshes.
>it's the only good rpg franchise and the only fantasy world in gaming worth a damn,
what is Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma, and Baldur's Gate, you fucking casual
>dark souls
>dragons dogma
>baldurs gate
>lore
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
dark souls isn't an rpg, never played dargons dogma, and baldurs gate was great but it's not active there hasn't been a game in like 15 years.
ESO
Morrowind
Skyrim
Oblivion
Didn't play Daggerfall, Arena, and those spinoff games we all heard about but never actually played.
>ESO
but why?
the mad man likes to see the lore burn
>DnD games have lore far better than what TES has.
Said as a true pleb that doesn't know shit about TES or DnD.
First of all DnD is not a single setting, DnD settings range from spectacular like Dark Sun and Planescape to generic trite trash like Forgotten realms.
Second of all, DnD is not a game setting, Re-read my post, I stated specifically GAME settings, tabletop settings will always have an edge due to the amount of content created for them.
THAT BEING SAID, if Elder Scrolls had the same volume and quality of writers making novels as for example some of the better tabletop settings would, it would beat out a lot of tabletop settings, because surprisingly enough it has metaphysics, myth and various magical systems that are far more interesting and consistent in my opinion.
>Even singular, non-series games like Arcanum has far better lore than anything TES comes up with.
No, I love Arcanum, but that's pure wrong, Elder Scrolls while more mundane on the surface level is far more complex and is also far stranger in it's depth, not to mention that the overall volume of TES lore written just in ingame books reaches million plus words. That being said I am willing to debate you, I just do not believe that you've read enough from any of the lore you mentioned.
>Halo
>far above every setting born in gaming with the amount of lore created.
Why the fuck does Halo of all things attract these kinds of autists?
>favorite game morrowind
>didn't play daggerfall or arena
yep, everything checks out.
>DaS
Interesting premise with very little lore content, mostly serves the atmosphere and the game itself. DaS is not deep.
>Dragons Dogma
Outright shallow lore with the most interesting part about it being the one gimmicky aspect of metaphysics.
>Baldur's Gate
A DnD setting that is not originated in gaming. Not to mention that Forgotten realms is one of the shittiest fucking settings in DnD.
ive played arena and daggerfall and i think morrowind is better
>ESO
My absolutely based nig
At least we can all agree what the absolute worst game was, right?
Read what I've posted, out of the gaming settings born in games there are objectively no other settings as large and complex as Elder Scrolls or Halo.
You can argue that you like a certain premise better, but Elder Scrolls dwarfs every other video game setting in it's size, while Halo is second but smaller.
Do you also like someone to hold your hand when you go to the restroom?
shadowkey had cool story and lore
Yeah, daggerfall is the best
It's bait, or a retard. Halo and TES combined doesn't even begin to amount to the lore of Warcraft.
I only started playing it last month and haven't had this much fun playing a video game in years so my current ranking might be a bit biased. Actually, I tried out the beta but didn't like it at the time, only gave it a second chance with that recent free trial and I've been in love with the game ever since. I'm a huge fag when it comes to exploration and there's an absolutely huge world out there with so many things to see and explore that I'm really having a blast playing the game. I'll probably cool off of it in a couple of months when I'm done with every single zone and run out of non-raiding content, but until then I'm honestly surprised I'm having this much fun playing a freaking MMO.
Morrowind was my first ever RPG I played on PC, back in 2004.
are you trying to insult because you think i dont like arena and daggerfall? because i do
nah, the worst game is redguard. but redguard also had the best story.
Warcraft lore is like 90% memes and meta faggotry. Fucking Star Wars is a more internally consistent and immersive setting.
That's actually true, I forgot about WoW.
WoW operates much like an actual tabletop setting with books and everything.
The main issue here is that Metzen turned and interesting and sometimes edgy in a good way Warhammer ripoff into corruption fetish saturday morning trash that is probably one of the worst settings ever.
I played morrowind just because i wanted to play skyrim but my computer couldn’t handle it. Before that i thought skyrim was actually the first game in the series and Oblivion was a chinese rip off. Even as a casual I really liked morrowind and after buying a new better computer and having played skyrim o can say morrowind is better. Why? Because i can play morrowind without mods but I cant played vainilla skyrim I have to moded and make it more of a RPG
...
oh jesus fuck, trying to slog through redguard these days is just beyond impossible
