Will it a be a WiiU port or a brand new smash? Also, what new characters would you like to see in the game?
Switch Smash Bros
A mix. Wii U port with all the DLC plus new characters and stages.
Brand new. If it was going to be a port it would have already been out.
Either way, I want pic related. Gimme that and I'm ready to double dip.
Brand New
If it was a port they would've announced by now at the very least.
This
Add Doomguy please
If sakurai isn't directing smash 5 who do you think will and what could they bring to the table?
>Buys Waluigi Amiibo
>Has Waluigi t-shirts and hat
>Has dozens of pictures of Waluigi saved to comp
>Plays Waluigi in every available game
Take a wild fucking guess bub
I was sure it was gonna be a "Deluxe" version, couple more people, maybe all the stuff from the 3ds version as well, but its been so long since the Switch released now and we haven't even heard a HINT of Smash, so I assume its gonna be a completely new Smash.
As new as a new version of smash can be anyway.
How can people still give a shit when Sm4sh was such a dud
this.
The fact that people even want/consider a Smash 4 port to be a possibility is honestly baffling to me.
>no don't give me a new game with new mechanics, give me the SAME game, that people who care about the franchise have already played to death, but with a small handful of new characters
>and if we eventually get a new game after that, it will have to compete with the old game in both sales and online playerbase, splitting the fanbase down the middle
ANYONE advocating for a Smash 4 port is certifiably braindead.
That's a port.
the only way to bring success back to smash is to fire sakurai and work the game back into being offensive like in 64/melee instead of defensive like in brawl/4
enough coddling casuals, if they want to play it like a party game then so be it but dont gimp good players just because you think shit should have a chance to beat pros
most likely this
I feel like they will add splatoon or arms characters to justify the full price since the dlc isnt as substancial as MK8 was
This although would it still be possible for characters like dk to be viable without changing there playstyles
well they don't release a new smash without at least a year of hyping it up. so if it comes in 2018 it'll be a port, if its announced at e3 2018 with a 2019 release date, then it will be new shit
Hoping for this.
idk if anyone is really advocating for a port so much as just thinking that's what we'll get
i mean, they've ported over almost every other big wiiu release, seems strange they wouldn't bring that one over either. especially if it's a port with new characters since that is what sells the game for the most part anyway
PM managed to make something beautiful, but that was a game balanced by players who understand what made the top tiers in melee strong which is why tiers are in the decimal differences
I doubt the crew working on real smash games has the knowledge of what makes melee tick to make something as competitive besides sakurai who only knows so much about it because he looks it up to ruin it in upcoming smash games of the future
thats why the airdodge was changed in brawl and why tripping was even a thing
"It's called fashionably late, fuckface."
