Papa Gas Coin is just a basic competency check. People either get stuck on him and rage quit, or they have gotten gud enough to make it through at least the first half of the game.

Should be pretty straightforward until Rom, the mid-game casual filter.

But Rom is easy as hell if you just take your time and kill the spiders.
I think Shadows and Logarius are better at being a casual filter.

A LOT of people bitch about Rom. They either get two-shotted by spiders or are too dumb to know how to avoid the meteors.

Many people never even find Logarius and the Shadows are really not that bad.

I beat him on my first try too. The first boss I didn't kill on my first try was Darkbeast Paarl.
