The Nintendo Switch's success is just people disappointed with the WiiU replacing it for an actually promising Nintendo platform. If Nintendo can sustain the same amount of sales once the 14 million WiiU owners replace their machines and the hype dies, then it can be considered a true success.
Dark Souls 2 is a fantastic, albeit flawed, game.
The true casuals aren't the ones playing Overwatch or PUBG; people playing The Witcher, The Last of Us or any of Telltale's games are.

Lords of the Fallen's better than every Souls game. Almost every Japanese game has floaty, weightless movement. Lords is refreshing because it's got actual weight and momentum. Feels like you're a six foot tall man wearing literal fucking armor. Attacking with the most heavy weapons takes a retarded amount of skill, even if the game isn't as hard. Talking about the hammers. It also has the best armor design ever.

Two cases
A) You dont give a shit about cosmetics at all. Provided they dont have an effect on gameplay they are 100% irellevant. However, they offer the devs/publishers an alternate revenue stream, which allows them to sell the game at a lower base price (to the person like you, who doesnt buy cosmetics, that's a cheaper game) As games have been quite underpriced for a while now considering inflation and budgets.

B) You like buying cosmetics and lootboxes. You get one every level, a free one every event, 3 per week from short game modes like arcade, they just gave out 5 for free from christmas and you get a currency to buy ones you missed out on, aswell as some of the cosmetics being tied to events letting you get them for free (Oni genji, Police D.VA)

For me i fall under A. I dont give a shit about any of the collectibles, so im glad Blizz can make money off them and sell me a game that clearly had a massive fucking budget at a measly £30 bong coins, or £18 in the sale

Yeah an individual fanbase on switch are just awful. Xenoblade 2 fags and Splatoon 2 fags are the standout, especially if you imply that a previous entry in the series was better, especially if the WiiU is where that better game is from. Odyssey fans are a headache in 3D Mario threads too.

Splinter Cell Blacklist is unironically the best game in the series.

It is not the best stealth game in the series though.

Dark Souls is a godawful game for pretentious teenagers.

Fightan games are boring and if you can play them for more than an hour at a time, you're autistic.

Traps aren't gay and I unironically mean it.

Everything in them is cosmetic, and does not influence the actually gameplay, on top of that there are two skins that are not available completely in game (The two blizzcon skins, and they went out of their way to make them not count towards completion).

The devs have made it so you now get boxes faster (ironing out the exp required per level), made it so you get more new items while maintaining the amount of gold you get, and made the event items buyable with the in game currency (They were not after the first event), previous years event items are available for a much cheaper rate than the old items. They have also added ways for you to get extra weekly boxes just by playing some different game modes.

You get all characters, maps, balance updaets and gameplay types for free. Everything except for purely cosmetic items are absolutely free, and require no grinding.

If you play an okay amount, you should be sitting on a good amount of in game money (I'm sitting at over 15,000 currently, and have gotten every drop I wanted from the current event).

Compare this to every modern FPS. Especially Valves shitshows.

The worse thing that happened to the Soul series was Sony letting it go multiplat. The series became a joke. The games were never about difficulty itself, it was all about building the atmosphere.

The Switch not failing is not really an achievement since Nintendo MISSED a whole generation. People were starved for anything nintendo related that was not totally retarded.

MGSV being incomplete is a meme. Elements like Skullface being anticlimactically killed or Chapter 2 being short were all intentional parts of the Phantom Pain concept but that flew over many people's heads.

RE VII was really solid. Not RE 1-3 or Silent Hill 1-4 solid but solid.

Doom was first and gets point for innovation but Quake is objectively leagues better and probably the best shooter of its kind.

PC gaming is dead. Valve and Blizzard killed it. No one contributed to the practice of re occurring revenue as much as they did.

Blizz should have made the cosmetics mean something the way gun camos did in pre-LootBox CoD, or helmets in Halo 3 did: the skins should be rewards for skilled/dedicated players as a way to differentiate themselves from the crowd.

Loot Boxes are a mobile game-tier way for Blizzard to farm shekels from retards who don't know any better. They designed the reward system of their game to be bad because they would rather make money off of idiots. End of story.

I think it's fucking ridiculous how expensive first-party controllers have gotten. You know how smash bros gamecube controllers are like $30? That's how much they were back then too, a quality product that lasts long and rarely if ever needs replacing. Now look at a PS4 controller, why the fuck is it so expensive? Waggle, speaker, touch pad that's also a button, the fucking big ass LED on the back (and on the front if you have the redesign) of the controller you can't turn off that leaves a glare on the tv screen and drains the battery, the thing has all these bells and whistles you don't care about and don't even really use tacked onto it for no real reason other than for Sony to say "hey look our controller is fucking retarded but you'll buy the overpriced piece of shit anyways". Third-party devs rarely even use them, even Sony's own games don't really use them, I certainly didn't need any of that shit playing Uncharted. Just drop all that shit and keep the bluetooth, the battery pack, and the headphone jack.

A game with low-poly and cheap texture graphics but great emphasis on interactivity with the environment (Bullet holes, breaking stuff in the scenery, etc.) is more aesthetically pleasing than a game that has detailed models.

The Vita is the best system to have come out since the PS2 and continues to reign supreme in both gaming variety and experiences.
