What do you think about the Nintendo Wii?

What do you think about the Nintendo Wii?

It has a wrong reputation, great games and if you care to explore its library you can find some real gems, also a hacked one is one of the best consoles ever.

The greatest salt maker ever created.

Wii? Come on man, that shit looks like a dildo.

I actually love my wii, and i own more than a 100 games right now, with no to many shity ones

It had a lot of shit games but also some of the best games of the generation. It's a damn shame Nintendo made it an SD console. It would've easily been the best console of the generation if it had HD (and a better online infrastructure), because it definitely had the exclusives.

But as it is, I think 360 and Wii were basically tied in terms of their game libraries (or Wii60 as people affectionately called it).

Gimmick box that 95% of people bought for Wii Sports and later dusted off for Wii Fit. Still had good games despite all that

Genuinely good games
Also, FPS with wii remote > FPS with any gamepad

Lots of really good games despite all the shovelware. Home to some of the legitimately best games of the last generation and even in general. Rail shooters are fun as all fuck on it.

A great game console that was thoroughly misunderstood by many.

Gets a bad rap for wagglan, but the pointer controls for lightgunning was the best use out of it.

heh, Nintendo Wii? pfft. that shit looks like a deel do.

>Sup Forums actually seems to like the Wii now
What changed?

Has the best Animal Crossing game and perfect for emulation.

All the shitposters have moved on to the current generation and the known worthwhile games have firmly settled into place.

aggressive consolewar types went away

Dolphinfags became Cemufags

>city folk
>best animal crossing

Best of 7th gen

*dealdo

>best Animal Crossing
I played the shit out of Wild World, but City Folk bored to tears.

What's the appeal of Animal Crossing anyways?

I tried playing the 3DS one for awhile, but I was seriously bored to hell after a few hours and I couldn't get back into it at all. It was the same fucking thing every day it seemed.

And I LOVED Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons and Rune Factory.

after I found out how easy it was to hack it went from a 4/10 to a solid 8/10 console

It's more of a game you play when you're winding down after doing other shit. You aren't really supposed to binge play it.

wagglan is genuinely fun before it gets old desu

It was a neat concept but too many games forced motion controls in when they were not at all necessary or fun

Fun but underpowered box that is deluged with shovelware. Has a lot of worthy games for people who look past the flood of Just Dance and Mii Sports clones.

DEAL
DOUGH

I wish more games than literally just Splatoon had gyro aiming. That seems like the best shooter controls you can get on console. Wiimote aiming was good in theory, but having to gingerly point your cursor to the edges of the screen to turn was eh

it's a shame that it had the connotation of being a kiddie toy becaue there were some great games for it, which were also hindered by wagglan bullshit

Why are you giving one away? Because I need one before two months are up. I want to buy all the N64 games and I already have an account with a couple of them I need to get back from Nintendo because my old Wii broke.

I think the Wii was a good console. Better then a lot of people give them credit for.

The library actually has some really good games.
>Fragile Dreams
>Galaxy 1/2
>Shattered Memories
>Fatal Frame
>Twilight Princess
>Skyward Sword (yes I know)
>Prime Trilogy
>No More Heroes
>Muramasa (better on Vita)
>S&P
>Trauma Center/Team
>Xenoblade/Last/Story/Pandoras Tower

Plus then you have ports of RE and Pikmin.

Metroid Prime controls sucked on it, but Resident Evil 4 is godlike.
A pity the PS3 version of RE4 doesn't support move, it'd be the one game I'd be interested in it for.
Punch Out also had pretty great wagglan. Sin and Punishment was grreat too. I can't really think of any other games I really enjoyed it in though.
