>be 9 years old
>playing Fallout 3
>too scared to walk to Megaton because I saw the ghouls and super mutants in the trailers
Any moments in non-scary games that scare you before like that?
Be 9 years old
I refued to visit grandma's house in king's quest II because it had a chance of spawning the wolf instead.
really? thats fucking spooky. Kings Quest had some random-gen spooky stuff like that, I think theres one King's Quest game where you leave a witches house but she can come home at any moment or something? Hate random chance stuff like that.
This is a stealth 2018 thread isn't it?
Underage
How do you figure?
>the entirety of RE4
Banjo-Kazooie used to give me night terrors as a kid.
Yea but it was resident evil directors cut at that age.
>2008 was 10 goddamn years ago
Wake me up.
I was 10 when Fallout 3 came out and it was my first Fallout game. I absolutely loved it and I was scared by the ghouls and muties too. Eventually as my tastes developed and after New Vegas I went back and played 1 and 2 and eventually grew to understand what Bethesda completely missed from the series. I refuse to even touch Fallout 4. You shouldn't lose faith in youngfags.
Oh fuck
Nice math
>be young me
>play year of the Dragon
>these fucks scare me shitless for some reason
>won't go near them
Still gives me the creeps.
Wait no I was 11.
Please explain how I'm wrong. Seriously, I wanna be wrong.
Fuck you snacker the shark. I was afraid of water in every video game because of this shit
My older brother used to scare the fuck out of me by randomly running towards me and making the wolf noise.
Prehistorik Man has a stage where an once dormant volcano erupts and you have to dodge rising flames from the bottom of the screen and giant boulders falling from above.
Volcanos used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. Also the dino boss made me feel really anxious.
>that minigame with the big purple thieves in Hurricos, Spyro 2
People who weren't born until years after this came out can post here now. I'm not upset but I regret my laissez-faire attitude in college
>be like 11 or 12 playing Halo CE
>reach level with the Flood
>was so scared that I wouldn't even fight them, just watch the cutscene of the marines getting eaten then turn off the Xbox
When I finally bit the bullet and kept going I was disappointed they were so easy to kill, my pussy fears hyped them up way too high
I was completely creeped out by that first spider boss in orcarina of time when I was a kid, no idea how long I've had nightmares. Doesn't help that I was already afraid of spiders before I played the game.
Same here. I didn't play for months after I first encountered the flood.
Fallout 3 also, but rushing into Washington as a level.
>be 10 year old me, playing Fallout 3
>be at nearly 10% hp after killing 10 some odd super mutants and a Talon mercenary group for handing a hobo too much water.
>hiding in some basement
>Mirelurk wandering about for a good 20 minutes
>all I got is this shitty 10mm pistol
>please don't notice me
>Mirelurk on caution mode for a good 20 minutes
>shoot at him
>he charges at me
>I dodge and run around the table, as he follows me
>close door behind me and he's slowed by a good 5 seconds
>enough time to run past his buddies and to the exit
>quick travel to megaton who hope none of that shit ever occurs again
I went back to place later to kill everything once I got my epic loot from Operation Anchorage.
