How do developers keep getting away with it?
How do developers keep getting away with it?
Dont buy cash grab "REDUX" versions.
What gaym
I pirated it for the sake of comparison. It's worse in pretty much every way. And it was supposed to be an "upgrade".
I don't get it.
Just the
>Stealth: On/Off
>Takedown animations instead of a melee button
Were enough to stop me buying the reduxes
i guess worse lighting, animations and even physics
Which one is the redux?
They keep chugging out these butchered remasters as long as they sell. Since consolefags have zero standards they keep buying them.
>try to play 2033
>console 60 fov
>Y and X axis have different sensitivities
>mouse smoothing/acceleration out the ass
>graphics options are locked to presets
what a joke
Good thing you can fix all that with a few config tweaks.
Say that during steam sales and watch rabid fanbase defending the REDUX version to death.
>not liking the fact that shooting isn't easy in a Metro game
It's like you don't even immersion.
is that just 2033 redux being worse, how is the LL redux?
The one with the static lightning.
oh the joys of auto correct
havent played it but isn't LL redux version of ranger mode superior to vanilla LL?
I don't think the LL redux changed much because it was already using the newer version of the engine.
Neither of them have static lights. The room in the second one is not dark, so your gunshots don't light it up as much, but you can still see the effect clearly in the darker portions.
the wire meshes dont dangle.
Its static as fuck bruh
If you have an nvĂdia card(PhysX) the game is a downgrade, has less volumetric shit and the remaining doesn't even look as good
whats static lighting?
PhysX was integrated into every GPU past 8000 nvidia series.
Dont talk crap you can even add old GPU you have to take some of the physics load on the main GPU.
So other than the webm why is Redux worse than the original?
Purists.
Do they remain stationary even when you shoot them?
i believe so.
OP will have to provide webm
It's worse on a tech level. Lots of neat little details lost and overall the lighting doesn't suit a game that's meant to be dark and foreboding.
It also adds the instakill contextual stealth which makes the game better/worse depending how much the throwing knives bothered you.
Otherwise it's still fine to play.
>Otherwise it's still fine to play.
you are forgetting the level changes, splices and redaction of story.
I don't recall anything that was missing. Got some examples? Especially story, as I didn't notice anything that went away in that regards.
Lots of gameplay changes which make it much easier.
>throwing knives disregard armor making aiming them not important
>scripted takedowns instead of manual melee
>worse recoil system and overall gunplay
>less traps in levels
>everything is much brighter
>no more purchasable armor (could get stealth or combat armor)
>attachment system makes exploration worthless and finding modified guns less satisfying
>stealth system downgrade makes enemies almost bind and deaf, binary visibility instead of 4 states with differing ranges
I could go on and on but that's the major things just regarding gameplay.
>Stealth: On/Off
wut?
>The levels "Lost Tunnels", "Bridge" and "Lost Catacombs" are now one long level called "Lost Tunnel"
>The levels "Dead City 1" and "Dead City 2" have been combined into one long level called "Dead City"
>The levels "Ghosts" and "Anomaly" have been combined into one long level called "Ghosts"
>The levels "Defense" and "Child" have been combined into one long level called "Defense"
>The levels "Alley" and "Library" have been combined into one long level called "Alley"
>"Driving to Sparta" is now called "Church"
>The levels "Dungeon" and "Caves" have been combined into one long level called "Cave"
>The chapters "D6", "Biomass", and "Separation" have been combined into one long level called "D6"
>The levels "Tower", "Top", "Ethereal" and "Endings" have been combined into one long level called "Tower"
Oh, so you don't get Artyom's dialogue for each new bit?
Welp.
i think he means that you're either in full view or invisible
in 2033 stealth was super tense because enemies became alert if anything was off and they didn't go
>better cut down on the ale. starting to see things I am
after 30 seconds. it was a great way to thin out resistance before the shooting started but you couldn't takedown every single enemy like in Last Light
You could, it just takes a lot more skill and patience.
