It still hurts. In fact with how great the game plays, the story hurts more. I still don't think a 3rd person shooter has ever controlled as fluidly as MGSV

I dunno, especially about the airport. It's very empty in comparison. And small. Sure the fence around it makes it look like it has size but a lot of it is just open field for the airplanes. The minefield was okay I guess. Camp omega is still a lot larger than all three of those, and also has far more content shoved into it.

There wasn't a track sung by Bowie in MGSV. They had a cover made by someone else.

Did you not watch the trailers? It was marketed as the game that closed the gap. The game that completed the transition from Big Boss to Solid Snake. All we got was a cutscene of fake Big Boss preparing for the beginning of Metal Gear.

I got over it about a year ago. Replayed it a few times since and it's about as stupid as every other metal gear game, it makes me wonder why I ever expected anything else. The hype all seems kind of silly in retrospect, I don't feel like I ever had any reason to believe we'd get what we were amped up for.

How about the problem with MGSV is that at least a third of the game is missing? Whether that half contained old characters or new that seems like a far more glaring problem than the game not being like MGS4 where every single character is wheeled out one by one and exposition dumped

I didn't need a MG1 remake. I would have liked to have seen Big Boss' 3rd clone who was fully grown and about a 4 hour plane ride away the whole game.

On top of that the level design is bland compared to GZ and the entire game is trivialized by being able to call in supply drops with any guns and ammo you want at basically no cost and fultons are even more broken than they were in PW.

No, I got over it. Why be obsessed with a mediocre game for so long? The trailers were well made but everyone fell for the hype despite getting hyped over cinematic trailers. They even showed gameplay and it was exactly what we got. And having the last chapter wouldn't have fixed any of the game's flaws. It's unhealthy to think the game would be the second coming of Christ if it had more content if the base game is more of the problem than how much content it had.
