One Piece had several good games before this though.
One Piss doesn't even have a good manga or anime.
one piece pirate warriors 3 will still be my favorite. This one seems just a series of boring scripts over a boring openworld, I'd rather blow 1000s of little soldiers away, which is also more in tune with the manga.
What is One Piss? Sounds good.
It's not even out yet, Ulimited Cruise still holds the best OP game title until it does and is good.
It's Want Peace, dumbasses, Japanese manga about hippies.
are you lying to me or to yourself?
>This one seems just a series of boring scripts over a boring openworld
Why do people try to act like they know what the entire game is going to be like based on 1 trailer that showed like 20 seconds of actual gameplay with no context behind anything?
The Unlimited Cruise games handled exploration and combat pretty well and they weren't even fully open world. If they can expand on that I don't see how it could be any worse.
High hopes but I know it'll be bland.
I'll wait until its on sale for less than $20
I like One Piece Grand Adventure more than the powerstone games.
No it's Juan Peace.
Luffy seems too strong for the setting though, he's a high level character fighting low level trash in the trailer, and it doesn't make much sense to have many characters in Luffy's level around in some literally where location.
Wow look at that densely populated town and all those people to interact with.
>Gear 4 Luffy, popping through the sky with his rocket legs
It'll feel good, man.
I never played UC but it seems like a boring brawler much like the little footage we got for the new game, at the very least it will be more boring than PW3 which is my whole point.
>first that shitty AoT game
>then the SAO thing
>now a game for One Piece
God fuck off. When your manga and anime doesn't sell anymore, all you can do is try and make a videogame to bolster up the sales and it's popularity, just let them die like the cancer they are please.
is this a jojo reference?
>AoT
>SAO
>One Piece
>not selling anymore
Their games are pretty much just advertisement, those franchises are still money printing cash cows.
How far are you into it? Surely you don't call a manga shit without reading it
I dropped anime at Impel Down. It was pretty cool, though the constant screaming of Buggy, Mr 3, and Ruffy really started to annoy me.
Also I just said some nonsense about hippies, why do you assume I find it shit? I enjoyed the hype while it lasted.
>generic open world game #3768
Because I'm autistic and didn't read your posts carefully. You dropped it at a good point, no arc has beaten enies lobby yet
no, it's a mexican cartel reference
Redpill me on the progress, anything important happened after Ace&WB croaking?
...
Enies Lobby was indeed awesome.
I take a look from time to time at the manga, but don't think I'll get back to it anytime soon.
Luffy is in an alliance with Law, they took down a Shichibukai, someone from luffy's past comes back, Devil fruit awakenings, Akainu and Aokiji fought for the top Admiral position, they're fighting yonkous now
Luffy goes to Fishman Island and beats up this steroid abusive fishman
Luffy goes to Punk Hazard and beats up this gassy scientist
Luffy goes to Dressrosa and beats up this gay pink flamingo
Luffy goes to Zou and forms an alliance with furries
Luffy goes to Whole Cake Island and currently trying to run away from a obese woman with the mind of an autistic child
Any new crew members on horizon?
>The crew were separated and there was a 2 year timeskip
>They are now on the final stretch of ocean, the second half of the Grand Line known as 'The New World'
>4 Yonko rule there, Blackbeard, Kaido, Big Mom and Shanks
>Big Mom and her pirate crew of 88 (grown) children are currently getting their butts kicked by half of the crew, while the other half prepare to fight Kaido
Anything, interesting, like the fucking island or why Blackbeard can have two fruit powers?
A possible fishman that we love or a furry rabbit girl.
Maybe even both at the same time.
Jinbe is their new helmsman and has officially joined up.
There’s a lot of foreshadowing that a bunny girl named Carrot will be joining on as their lookout due to her incredible jumping ability as well as her good eyesight.
Ah, heard about these two.
Do Chopper have romantic relationship with her?
You wanna get spoiled? There's two right now, one of them luffy already promised to
Nothing about why he has 2 devil fruits but it was hinted that his crew members can steal devil fruits
Jinbe has all but joined at this point. He more or less said "fuck off" to Big Mom and straight out said he was joining the Straw Hats. He tied up all his loose ends with his old crew as well so he has nothing holding him back anymore. The last couple of chapters have made it a big point to show what a good helmsman he is too to show what position he'd hold. The only thing they haven't gotten to yet is the big end of arc celebration party to make it official.
A bunny girl from the last arc may or may not join. There's enough of a basis for her joining but it would be the first time two new members joined in the same arc. It could go either way really.
No, but Chopper did find a possible waifu on an island on the back of a 1000 year old giant elephant.
shut up
Brook did something.
But it did.
Grand Adventure and Unlimited Cruise were good, and the GBA beat em up was decent too. PW3 is great if you don't mind musous.
I see, I see. Thanks for summary, user
I remember reading somewhere Oda said new crewsmates are going to join shortly one after another, so good chances both of them are tagging up
>hinted that his crew members can steal devil fruit
Not exactly. We know that when a DF user dies that a nearby regular fruit will morph into their DF, putting it back into circulation. Blackbeard has his crew members go around basically carrying big bags of fruit with them so when a DF user dies there's very high chance that one of the fruit they're carrying will change into the DF. So it's different from whatever BB did to steal WB's fruit.
Fuck me, after reading this thread I might actually want to have a hunderd-episodes long catch-up marathon.
You should check it out again. They're fighting a Yonkou right now, and Chopper got a really cute and badass rabbitgirl waifu.
the art style is terrible
As I said here , I actually might.
Thought I guess I'll just read the manga this time
Are there even any bad One Piece games (on consoles/PC)?
Is anyone else really hyped for the Big Mom fight? We only got a tiny bit of actual fighting so far but even in her very weakened, starving state, she looks fucking terrifying.
But I don't think Luffy will be facing her this arc, he's got enough on his plate with Dogtooth. Which looks like a very boring opponent next to Big Mom.
It's probably his devil fruit, maybe when someone's dead or close to death, he can suck their powers straight from them with a black hole
do it user
The arc right before the current one is probably one of the worst in the entire series though, so look forward to that I guess.
BM will obviously fall down druing Elbaf, BM is just a sneak peak of her and her crew
>Zou is worse than Long Ring Long Land and Fishman Island
Explain yourself.
Sanji will deliver the cake and it will be enough to calm Big Mom down long enough for them to actually escape. Pudding's memory altering powers might come into play as well. Seems like way too convenient of a power not to use especially since she's actually in love with Sanji now.
>Talking shit about Zou
so were just going to ignore how the environment doesnt react to luffy. or the fact that theres no fucking water anywhere...
Do you think Nami will get jealous now that Sanji has an actual love interest? Or will she be happy to just get Sanji off her back? I mean, she clearly liked the attention.
Best summary thus far, and yeah Jinbe has basically joined as the helmsman. Hopefully Carrot joins too but we'll see
Only a hundred? You might just about reach the end of Pre-timeskip.
If you're talking about Zou, it was more of a transition arc so it wouldn't be as fleshed out as the usual arcs, if you're talking about Dressrosa, it was just stretched out too long, wasn't that bad
How much time elapsed between haki being introduced and Luffy learning it?
How much time has elapsed since awakened devil fruit powers were introduced?
I feel like Luffy's awakening might be coming really soon.
Or the fact that it looks like Luffy suddenly popped out into an Isekai world. Becuase seriously, the environment doesn't feel like One Piece at all
you should ignore the anime, read the manga, watch small exerts from the anime on youtube, that's the ideal way. I wouldn't like one piece not even a little bit if I only watched the anime.
So does anyone else get Vegapunk vibes from the video narration? Plus there's that giant navy facility at the end
Haki started to get hinted with Mantra and at the end of Ennies Lobby with Garp's ''fist of love''. And awakening was introduced during Impel Down
I really hate the idea of jinbei becoming a crew member. He's so fucking boring. About the only upside is they can leave his ass to watch the ship while the rest go exploring the new islands.
Nami never gave a shit when Sanji flirted with other women before so it would be super out of character for her to suddenly become jealous and clingy. She also uses men in general, not just Sanji. Did you miss in the latest chapter where she made a sentient cloud her slave?
I'm gonna stand by with Oda said about the series not focusing on romance outside of gag purposes. Even Pudding's love for Sanji is handled in a gag manner since she's literally how he was back on Fishman Island getting nosebleeds and passing out every time he does something.
but is Hit a jojo's reference inside dragon ball?
Technically Haki has been a thing since Shanks used it on the Sea King back when Luffy was a kid. Luffy learned it during the timeskip tho. If I recall Crocodile was the first to be shown to "awaken" his fruit, it isn't a common ability for DF users so not much is really known about it
Haki has been around since first chapters/episodes.
Although, it only got focus around Saboady and Amazon Lily
Looks worse than BotW
DUDE IT GETS GOOD 500 CHAPTERS IN
Who are you quoting?
I don't think Crocodile was awakened, as controlling an element is a part of Logia abilities.
They need someone who has actual experience and knowledge of the New World and and pretty much what current events and shit are going in general. He's saved their asses literally every time they've crossed paths because they're completely ignorant about something or have no idea what they're doing. Plus he's a strong fighter as well which they really need going forth.
I don't see how he's boring. He might have some hidden quirks that come out once he starts interacting with the crew on a more casual basis. Even Robin was kind of dull at first before it was revealed she secretly likes cute things and has autismo daydreams while appearing calm and mature on the outside.
*whomst
I don't like him either because he's not a fujo bait hot boy, a goofy gag character, or a big titty anime girl
He might have been. Looking back at the stuff he could do it fits the description of Awakening. We don't know what a Logia Awakening does exactly either since only Paramecia and Zoan have been seen. But Crocodile was able to permanently alter the environment with his powers and they said that his Sandstorms would continue going for days even without his direct influence.
Holy fuck they completely ruined Franky and Chopper's design.
it literally looks like someone imported a luffy model into UE4 and used default assets to create some bad looking prototype
Oda literally said "Crocodile's fruit was awakened" it was how he could disintegrate doors into sand at Impel Down and suck moisture out of people and objects. Being a logia had nothing to do with it
Honestly I felt like being in the dark was part of the fun. Because as the viewer/reader you're as caught off guard as the rest of the crew. Personality wise he just seems like a wet blanket. Majority of the crew are kids, perverts or man children with Nami to keep them in line while Robin acts as a kind of straight man of sorts. I'm not saying he wouldn't be useful, he's just not someone I would want to be a regular of the crew. I like the idea of another odd ball joining like a fish man, but not jinbei
Franky? No
Chopper? Oh yeah.
Franky has the "toy robot" aesthetic, which was the whole point of his appearance post time skip
If Chopper always looked like the mature reindeer form instead of his toy-selling cutesy form, I would have no complaints.
I'm ambivalent about it to be honest, I'm tired of muh open world meme. Didn't even enjoy BotW.
I think Oda probably should have saved Crocodile for later. Because it's fucking weird that he lost to pre-timskip Luffy even with his weakness despite being Awakened and most likely knowing Haki as well. Then during Marineford he's shown to be able to clash evenly with characters like Mihawk and Doflamingo.
I would have preferred the "Teen Chopper" from Post-TS Horn Point, but with reasonable sized antlers.
>Camera panned to the protagonist's back as he looks on at the "vast, open world" the game is trying to sell you
no, it's dragon ball filled with mexican memes
hooktube.com
Well remember, Luffy lost twice before actually figuring out how to beat him, and even then he just barely won.
I like that the power scale wasn't like Dragon Ball and villains were now able to be any level of strength, it took actual strategy instead of "Duh, hit guy really hard!"
>anime
1) Opinion discarded. 2) The anime is actually good for the first ~250 episodes, and you just admitted this since it entertained you for even more than 400.
Kill yourself.
The "humor" from more down to earth characters like Nami and even Zoro on occasions is that they tend to overreact when something unexpected happens. Jinbe has shown that he's not immune to being surprised by the Strawhat's antics and doing goofy spittakes and shit. Not even fucking Law was immune to their antics. I'm sure he'll loosen up just by being around them.
Chopper perhaps. But I fail to see how (or why) Franky could look any better. He's fine as is.
Really? I didn't know that.
Being able to produce your element is one thing for a Logia. Being able to directly change and influence the landscape around you is different. Like how the geography and weather of Punk Hazard was permanently altered after Akainu and Aokiji's fight.
It still doesn't make much sense. Even with the liquid weakness he should have been able to still manually change and dodge attacks before they even hit him like other Logia do when attacked with Haki attacks. Hell, he even does it during Marineford.
Pretty sure that user meant Dressrosa. Which WAS rather weak by One Piece standards.
>he should have been able to still manually change and dodge attacks before they even hit him
oh you mean that maneuver only the highest ranking fighters are able to use? That maneuver that you need really fucking good observation haki to use? Oh yeah it makes a lot of sense that crocodile would be able to use that. Retard.
See I understand why people are opposed to Jinbe, but also I don't get it.
He is an amazing character, we don't need every Straw Hat to be goofy for the adventure to be fun, he is like Robin in a sense where he is serious but still has his goofy moments.
On top of that Jinbe has:
Declared Luffy will be pirate king
Declared joining the Straw Hats
Saved Luffy's life from Akainu
Saved Luffy from despair on Amazon Lilly
Probably has more respect for Luffy than any other character
Has shown mastery over the seas and guiding the Sunny (and in doing so, saved the crews lives)
Punched a mother fraskin Yonko right in her gut
Seriously, having him on the crew would be a blessing but too many people think "oh he has no character" like are we reading the same manga?
>Oh yeah it makes a lot of sense that crocodile would be able to use that
Yeah, like that time Doflamingo cut off his head when he wasn't even paying attention and he walked away from it completely unharmed.
Sup Spee D. Reader.
Literally one of the first things they made a big deal of pointing out about Crocodile was him having mastered his DF to the point where he could dodge things on reflex and even sneak attacks. The only other Logia who was able to do that before Haki was formerly introduced was Enel using Mantra, which turned out to be a form of Haki anyway. If you think Crocodile didn't have Haki you're fucking stupid.
>not even out
>looks average as fuck
