DUDE

DUDE

My trusty companion.

STAMINA

Stamina regenerates so fast in DaS3, I don't understand why everyone uses this.

420 shield

GRASS

WEED

It barely even does anything. I would guess people use it because they're completely braindead and don't pay attention to the actual game, just operating off of memes and instinct. It was good in 1 and people remember that so they don't even actually know what the shield does for their stamina regen in 3, they just use it because that's what the funny giant dad meme told them to use.

DUDE

lawl the meme went right over head. normies are meming here, autism

>only noticeable when using it in conjunction with the +3 Chloranthy Ring and Green Blossoms

Not sure how to feel about making any one of the three more effective on their own as opposed to just having them as placebos.

Eagle Shield best shield

Ah, the grass crest shield, my greatest ally!
>equips
>puts on back and two-hands zweihander
LEEEEEEROOOOY JEEEEENKIIIIIIINS
>hardcore dubstep starts playing as I invade every noob and reck his shit

Are you intentionally being a faggot?

>I don't understand why
Shit, you're serious aren't you? Because despite the reduced effectiveness it's still the best shield to use if you don't plan on blocking. It's the only shield that provides a passive boost.

>people are still thinking that the giantdad build is viable
always made me laugh when they tried stunlocking you

Samefag I forgot about shield of want

I two-hand my weapon every single time I play Dark Souls, yet I can never bring myself to use this fucking shield because the particle effect is so god damn ugly.

best girl

Why even use this shield?
it gives you like +4 stamina regen
when you already have 45 stamina/s

>not using the Elite Knight set, Crest Shield, and Astora Straight Sword

hey i had one of those nose penises, good shit
also good taste, i use the claymore though since it's good for everything and hits for a whopping 52 poise per hit

the dankest shield

Reminder that people have died horribly from using those. It's because they didn't take proper precautions, but still.

i hate this shield; i much preferred the rose shield from 2

so what is the best shield in 3 anyway?

how?

Mask of Child
Green Blossom
Grass Crest Shield
Cloranthy Ring
Spamming Great Club R2
Stamina for days

>pouring dirty infected water into your nose is bad for your brain
more news at 11!

Use the Wolf Ring and it will go away.

Ahh... you were on my back, all along.
My true mentor
My guiding [stamina regeneration]

Amoeba in the water gets into your brain and starts eating away. It's easily avoided by boiling or distilling the water beforehand, but obviously some people are too dumb to do that. It's just something to keep in mind.

>Fume Sword isn't in DS3
>Silver Knight Straight Sword isn't in DS3
I love my long, slender blades, you fucking hacks, give them back

whatever looks most A E S T H E T I C, but Lothric knight shield is the best parry shield, and Artorias' shield has the best stability of any non-bash shield. Ethereal Oak has the neat regen passive too. then there are certain shields that are specific elemental walls.

Wooden shield is the lightest shield that gets invincibility from great magic shield

It doesn't matter, all the straight swords except Lothric's and Ringed Knight are borderline useless. Dark Wraith is good if you want some bizarre axe moveset.

speaking of shields, it annoys me that my low level lucatiel cosplay has to run through the entire game to get the mirrah shield to complete it

Problem is, the same water that could kill you if you pour it into your nose is usually safe to drink. People don't expect their safe and "clean" tap water to kill them just by using it in a different way.

SOY

Who cares? Every enemy has to have some kind of instant death grab move through a shield now. Because you're not supposed to block in a game about medieval knights or something.

ringed knight straight sword is fucking great dude

I don't like it, but I know you're right. My weaponfus would be dogshit in this fucking game

>Silver Knight Straight Sword
Based, best weapon in DS1 for quick attacks. Shame it can't be upgraded past +5

lol gitgud

>Lothric knight shield is the best parry shield
Is this true?

>want to take advantage of chloranthy ring and other stamina regen stuff
>notice that there is a slight pause to when stamina actually starts regenerating at all
>never figure out if the rings decrease that dead time, wear it anyway
If they don't then they're useless in 3.

This shield has saved my life many a time.

Blocking gets you fucked in 3. It's a better than nothing bonus while 2handing

cus why not have it even faster?

Blossoms don't stack with chlor ring.

It was fun to play though

Can you hit 120 on NG easily, or is it more efficient to take it into NG+?

youre supposed to roll on the ground to dodge attacks like knights did in real life

it has the highest stability of any of the parry shields, 100% physical block, and the second highest lightning block too, with the dragonslayer shield being higher. You can infuse it too. The various crest shields are better for parry shields with more specific elemental resistances while still having 100% block. They're not infusable and have lower stability though.

I see. I used the Black Knight Shield and Silver Knight Shield since I thought the meta would be the same as in Dark Souls 1.
I guess I'm mistaken.

>think something went the wrong way while swallowing
>get sick of it
>snort tapwater
>spit it out of mouth
>nasal cavities swollen for days

It's also the time I started to become fond of anime girls

>trying to block a grab you retard
you can dodge literally 100% of grabs by lowering your shield and walking away.

I tried this and my brain felt itchy. I then got a cold for 2 weeks.

good post

black knight shield is good, its just that it has weapon art. it has the highest stability of any of the medium shields. If weight's not an issue though, you'd want to use artorias' shield since it also has weapon art with higher stability.

Blocking is still really good in dark souls 3 PVE because a lot of the fast flailing enemies get stunned if they hit your shield(you can often do instability damage against them in that state too). E.G Really useful against the annoying dogs.

You often need a bigger shield for the bigger fast enemies to be stunned like the irithyll knights

God you're autistic
It increases stamina regeneration and stacks with other boosts like the cloranthy ring, not everything is about some shitty meme you have a fixation on

>get a game with tons of customization options to mix and match to cater to your fantasy and imagination
>"I-I'll make the guy on the box!"
It's beyond shit taste at this point, at least shit taste is still an expression of independent thought.
