Take these two scenarios:

Take these two scenarios:

>a game is made fun only because of design flaws and glitches which can be manipulated to increase the game's overall complexity

or

>a well-designed and polished game that lacks the above quirks, so the only way to play is how the devs intended.

Which is better?

>lmao Melee or Sm4sh

There, now begin arguing.

Halo 2
Halo Reach

Scenario 1 is more fun to watch people play, scenario 2 is more fun to play.

Actually I was thinking more of MK Wii and MK8, though I knew it was going to go straight to smash.

>Literally every competitive video game to ever exist.

or

>A game that doesn't exist.

Which is better?

GunZ
or
GunZ 2

2 is better clearly, because it doesn't run the risk of things getting fixed in the patches.

Play Devil May Cry 3. Now play Devil May Cry 3 at 90% game speed in full HD and a beautiful UI with less moves and floaty movement. There, that's Melee/Smash 4 in a nutshell. You can like Smash 4 more because of the characters and the polish, but from a pure gameplay standpoint Melee is much better.

>2 is better because 1 might become 2

Top because of pic related

>Gunz the duel as the devs inteded
A 6/10, maybe a 7/10 for its time

>Gunz the duel with K-Style, D-Style and other memes
An absolute 10/10

Dude devs usually don't like it if the only way someone enjoys their game is to abuse glitches or flaws.

because you could "Butterfly"?

K-Style is much more than just butterfly, it's moving with 100% freedom and heated battles

The first one. Second sounds very rigid and the creator won't necessarily have the best gameplay in mind. The first one is a lot more open ended and prone to having a free-er gameplay style.
You can't tell me Nintendo games aren't usually too rigid.

>a game is made fun only because of design flaws and glitches which can be manipulated to increase the game's overall complexity

That was like the entire lesson of the movie.

well if both are equally fun, the bottom choice.
most games dont need glitches to be good.

Please stop comparing Smash to Devil May Cry

What about a game that needs mods to be good? Skyrim Brawl

>old mario karts
or
>mk8d

I'd take 8 over Wii any day. Wii was a broken piece of shit.
