Desktops too.
Don't forget to take out the trash first you dirty cockroach.
Can’t post desktop because ponyshit but
>ryzen 1700x
>GTX 1080ti
>32GB DDR4-2133
>480gb SSD + 1TB HDD
I mostly play CSGO at low settings on 1280x960 stretch.
I'm not hating, but that's pretty overkill for csgo
why do people install windows 10? When it came out I got it on my laptop. It seemed awful so no wonder it was free.
64 bit 7 on my desktop and never changing. Ill eventually switch to linux or something.
That's putting it lightly. You should have linked this fuck rat poison.
Well I was upgrading processor, then realized I’d have to upgrade both motherboard and RAM, so I figured I might as well go balls-out
...
You're set. But might I ask , how often are both monitors fully utilized to their maximum framerate?
I've got all the bloatware/adware cleared out and installed a shell to improve the look of the menus. Works great now. Just took a little tweaking.
Winter setup.
Not really, I'm just waiting for next gen video cards to come out.
I actually spend more time playing my PS4 than I do my PC.
That's good user. I to use my PC as a space heater.
>124°C
>Ryzen 1600x @ 4Ghz
>MSI GTX 1070 Ti
>ASUS MG279Q 1440p/144Hz
>16GB DDR-3200
>480GB SSD + 2TB HDD
I play Overwatch most of the time
>people are still using DDR3
DDR4 is the only way to get ram now, how's it feel to still be using dinosaurs in your rigs grandpas?
...
Someday, ill play a game that has come out after 2005, someday....wait, when did the ps2 come out?
how is your PC still alive
gonna upgrade my gpu this year
Staying strong since 2011, more than enough for my needs
I've been looking to do a platform upgrade for over a year now, but I haven't been happy with anything that's come out. Here's hoping for 2018 turning out better in that regard.
Mine does this as well, i think the motherboard sensors read Fahrenheit but speccy shows it as Celsius without conversion
Nice
come on mang
Just sold my 1070 and going to be selling my PS4 Pro in the next few days (gf has a Slim so I'll use that instead)
Would a 1080/1080 Ti be overkill with this CPU? Could upgrade CPU/Mobo/RAM if I went to a 1080
...
>all this single channel ram
>only a few dual channel
what the fuck are you people doing
Specs in second pic
Washed out cuz image size is too big?
>mad tendie
All right gentlemen
I don't know how to make computers
What parts should I get?
...
Imagine writing out this post and chuckling to yourself as you fill out the captcha
ryzen 1600
gtx 1060
a well-reviewed mobo (compatible with ryzen)
most popular RAM (DDR4)
I very recently made this and its the first PC I ever built.
>budget pc
really wish i could've gotten a bit more ram and a better graphics card but i ran out of money and most of the sales on the components i was buying were ending soon so i had to go for it
I really need to upgrade my rig next year, assuming cryptomining won't inflate gpu prices further.
fucking degenerate
Desktop
Post your Christian workspace user.
sorry for the jpg
i am viewing this thread in safe mode because i can't get my fucking desktop to boot propertly
PITY ME
I've got to say I find people's recent problems with AMD's official drivers to be pretty funny.
Everythings working great with the third party Mesa drivers.
I literally do not own a PC. At all.
tfw new spicy ram arrives Wednesday
>I was going to get a PC
>but my mommy wouldn't buy me one
end yourself you underage faggot
Does the upgrade to DDR4 actually feel significant? This shit is pretty damn fast and I have some money lying around from Christmas I could use to upgrade, but a mobo upgrade might mean I'd have to replace to cpu as well
Is this lost?
>friend ships me his old 1080ti for $250 because it didn't look good in his rig
nice to get lucky from time to time
your friend sounds like a fucking retard
>old 1080Ti
>people who care how their PC looks
who gives an actual toss
how long are we expected to spend looking at the internals?
just rich
Pretty happy with my setup
it will be an upgrade from your current slow ass ram
Its probably not worth it to you to upgrade yet. Wait for the 7nm Ryzen to appear at the earliest, but you're probably good for another couple of years.
Assuming you only play movie games , yes you probably need an upgrade. Anything other than that is in the territory of "want". Nothing wrong with that though.
I am 50% certain there's stuff on your desktop you never even use.
Image sizes above 4mb aren't allowed so JPEG is the way ( unless there's another way)
You're better off without him. Chances are when he realizes his stupidity he'll probably be pissed.
...
>AMD
>ever
can you ship me your new 1080ti for 300$?
i'll trade you my rx580 for it
:^)
>I am 50% certain there's stuff on your desktop you never even use.
I don't use anything at all
the thought did cross my mind to sell it for $600
Laptop is telling me my fx card has 6gig vram. Speccy is saying 2gig? please help?
>packard
rip dude, i owned a packard laptop as well, it's complete junk now, barely boots up anymore and the battery dies in 3 minutes
i have shit tier specs and i need to clean the dust but im bad and scared and dont know what to do. i almost feel like just getting a fresh, new card so i dont have to feel anxious about it
surprised more people aren't doing triple or even quad channel ram, and all these low frequencies
what gives
speccy fucks up in a lot of places
>Every modern PC CPU is AMD64
>Competition is good for prices and features
... just drag and drop that stuff in a folder then.
i aint made of money nigga
>vram higher than 2gb
not possible. anything going over that just sinks into the ram or pagefile
still pretty happy with the 290
64gb ram
asus rampage v edition 10 mb
2x asus rog strix gtx 1080ti gpus
intel i7 6900k cpu oc to 4ghz
and let me guess, a single 1080p 60hz monitor
Pretty nice system too. How come you're just using 1920x1080 with a 1080Ti?
The CPU is fine for 60FPS, especially if OC'd. 1080/1080 Ti are both overkill for 1080p 60FPS though, why did you even want to get rid of your 1070?
...
>low frequencies
You mean RAM or what? If you're talking about CPU, Speccy only displays stock clocks.
Also do Skylel-X and Threadripper even work in triple channel, or is it just single/dual/quad which they support?
>tfw 140hz monitor but pc too bad to run it
the good thing is I just have to wait for my pgu to come in the mail and I can get rid of this computer. but yeah Hp has some horrid laptops
it's old news by now
like 5 years ago I paid $250 for a 16gb set of quad channel capable RAM
>You mean RAM or what?
yeah
>2018
>under 1000mhz ram
I did that once, the result wasn't pretty.
youtube.com
>mfw can run BotW on my laptop
Cemu is magic..
...
brainlet here, I recently overclocked my RAM but when I try to overclock my CPU my computer screen doesn't turn on. It took me 4-5 tries before I got a signal and when I did, if I restarted the same problem would happen again. I updated the bios but it's probably a power supply problem, 650w and not really sure if it's bronze, or a gold connection. I was looking to upgrade this year anyways, just wanted to get a couple more months out of it.
you can hide the recycling bin icon
also
>Activate Windows
UwU
Got my outdated rig hooked onto my TV to watch my UDH stuff.
Probably going to overhaul my rig once the Volta cards are a thing.
Can someone of you Sup Forums fags tell me if it's worth upgrading from my i7 3770k (which is not OC currently)?
I usually play old and new releases for vidya, so I can't give you an estimate. But it's not a WoW machine.
There wasn't that much DDR3 over 1000MHz. 1066 and 1200 were fairly common and there was some faster shit around too, but a lot of people didn't bother since it didn't make much of a difference on Intel with dedicated graphics cards. I seriously doubt anyone even replaces working RAM to upgrade to a faster kit too, that's nearly pointless.
Planning on getting a higher res monitor later this year.
May or may not upgrade to Ryzen+ as well.
hidden desktop because im too lazy to clean. i only use the little folder icon to get to my desktop
mostly got zip files of music albums there anyway, nothing i use often.
...
what should i upgrade?
speccy only displays half of the RAM frequency. This is common knowledge.
monitor and ram
get an extra drive
At this point, I'd upgrade everything my man.
I don't even know why I did the reddit spacing. I'm not even browsing that site.
Not really, 'half'' is actually the correct frequency but marketing will incorrectly show a doubled value, because that's the number of memory transfers done, one on the rising and one on the falling clock edge. You might see something like 2133MT/s, which is actually correct.
Everything at this point, but if you want to feel the biggest impact in terms of day to day use, I'd say upgrade the shit monitor to at least 1080p, ideally IPS since you can get them nowadays at pretty good prices, get some SSD and another 4GB RAM.
I didn't really know what I was doing when I built my pc. I still don't desu. I'm fairly happy with it and have had no issues with since I changed the PSU.
