Reposting this here in case the user I was talking to had a reply, because I was in the wrong kirby thread

It's been a while since I've played Superstar, but I do agree that the whole "8 games in 1" thing means that each game never really feels like a complete thing
But even despite that, it really did improve the gameplay of the series, fleshing out and giving copy abilities a full move set to use, instead of being very limiting like in the Dreamland series
I probably wouldn't say SS is the best game, but it laid down the foundation of the RtDL formula, and that's gotta be worth something

Looks like 4.5 has a failure to launch
Even 5.0 gets a good lift-off

SS isn't the best Kirby game, user, like you said.
SS:U is. Seriously, even though Robobot was really fucking great, I still believe that SS:U is the best Kirby game of all time. It's got the tightest gameplay in the series, tons of content, beautiful sprite work, and more. I do hope that someday another Kirby game tries, really, really, REALLY fucking hard and exceeds it for me.

That's actually 45 and 50 degree ramps. The reason they had weird launches is because you can traverse any ground as long as it's less than 45 degrees. Above that, you'll slide off it. Really, those two shouldn't have taken off at all but that's an easy fix.

Playing the original, it doesn't look like the taillights blink. Which part should be blinking?

I was more talking about SS:U, considering I haven't actually played the original
It's been a while since I played it, so I'm only really going off of what I remember, but as much as none of the individual games were really bad, most of them finished really quickly and only a few of them were that memorable afterwards
I'm playing through the entire series currently though, and right now i'm at DL3, but I do plan on replaying SS:U and refreshing myself on how well it held up and if I'm just remembering poorly

Planet Robobot really was amazing though, it's the thing that finally convinced me to actually go through the earlier games in the series.

I bought a 2DS and some games awhile back, one of the games I bought is Kirby Planet Robobot. That game is excellent, I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it.

It's just me. I get models, textures, sounds and stuff from online. I build/texture what I need to when I can't find a model. Everything is coded from the ground up in Unity.

If not, then faulty memory lol.

In my emulator, the lights stay white and turn blue when charged. Unless my emulator's messing up then I got it right.

Yup. They'll make it easier to see in dark places/at night/ during certain events.

The sparkles left behind the Warp Star is a great touch.
The Boost animation seems a little like an arm cannon charging up, kinda weird.
You can keep the glowing aura animation, but maybe reduce the size by, like, half?
Release looks good!
