I spent more time playing the NES games than the actual game, they would never allow those in any remaster of the game.
Also, they would surely dumb down the dialog to fit AC's current target audience, so no.
There's a reason they stopped making Resetti mandatory.
Every animal crossing has just been a refinement or addition to the original. A remake would be a huge step back.
Been loving all th AC threads. Back into NL when mobile came out. Ive missed my town.
Absolutely. The first is my favorite. The other games added some nice QoL changes so if those were incorporated, it would be perfect for me. Still, I'd rather get a new game.
>dumb down the dialog to fit AC's current target audience
literally the worst part of New Leaf
the worst part is how everyone is so goddamn nice to you from the start, there's no room for them to warm up to you like in the original games
cranky isn't even cranky he just acts like an old man
smug isn't even smug he just acts super gay
They need to stop making animal crossing so barebones. I get its targeted to kids but cmon it took how many installments to add a friendship meter? To a mobile game?
Friendship is supposed to be a gradual thing, they added the meter because it's a mobile game made by a mobile game dev and that's just how f2p mobile shit is made.
Fuck no. I expect a new product that's been expanded upon.
this
It's not really a game if you haven't noticed. Treat it like the friend aquarium it is and enjoy.
As long as they keep the amazing soundtrack of the original. They never seemed to come close in the sequels

the first had the best dialogues and a fuckin huge map
i think a lot of novelty is lost after the first game so im pretty biased towards it
>dumb down
was it ever really that deep
I would be more interested in a 1:1 port than a new game honestly.
They should let Bill translate another Animal Crossing completely by himself.
Well there are other things they could add to the game to improve it like deciding where villagers could place their houses and adding more viable ways of farming bells than just late night island fishing and bughunting
I just want more customization. Let me make actual paths, parks and shit without using clothing patterns on the floor.
>paths, parks
comfy desu
Dialogue was meh but I agree on the map. I miss those giant leaf piles of whatever.
thats literally the only way i would be interested. but it wouldnt have the
NESs, so fuck it anyway
I don't know how anyone can think this. I thought NL was awful. They added new stuff like scuba diving, but it all felt fucking pointless and and an example of how more content isn't always a good thing. Wild World was the only game that I feel was an actual improvement/a good sequel (excluding the removal of holidays and putting in those stupid fake ones).
>If the next animal crossing was a remaster of a remaster would you still be interested?
Aren't they all basically remasters?
would you play a kemono friends version of animal crossing?
i watched the first episode of kemono friends and got bored out of my mind, i certainly wouldnt want a whole game like this
Hoping they make a sequel that has more than 1-2 areas, the mobile game actually feels like an improvement in that regard
scuba diving was a neat addition
would be nice to see another new category of collection, like collecting minerals
yoooo, pocket camp also made be go back to NL. it just felt so empty and lacking compared to new leaf, it made me miss it.
did you start a new town? I have a hard time between a) relaxing with the game b) min/maxing the fuck out of my town with layout resets and villager rolls etc and c) a nintendo direct announcing a new game lol not happening
>you'll never be able to experience AC for the first time again
I put a lot of time into WW, as well, but no I just can't. I put about a month into NL before dropping it. I hope they can capture the magic that the original had, otherwise I'll probably have to stop playing the series as a whole.
YES that was the only good one
>grass that never dies
>flowers that never die
>top down view instead of rolling log
>huge map with plenty of neighbors
>felt like you actually lived in a forest instead of some empty valley
In a heartbeat
I feel the same.
New Leaf also tried to "make" you play every day to unlock content, but it had the opposite effect on me. Fuck waiting for that blue llama to wake up from his coma.
Of course not. They would butcher it
Imagine the first game with New Leaf dialogue and no nes games
That sounds fucking horrible, why not play a different game then ?
spoken like a retard who started the series with a mobile game
gas yourself
i'm just working on getting all my badges. that's what i want to 100% right now
Are you retarded or was your first game City Folk?
Most people just miss the sass and snarkiness. It's no fun when everyone acts so bland and idyllic - the villagers just become props.
No, that game was good for its time but is very primitive by today’s AC standardsz
No.
