Not for PS4, probably not. The only merit to it's rerelease is for PC, and that's for a port of 1 and a non-shit port of DMC3.

Yeah, I would've double-dipped if they had announced it was coming to the Switch as well, but now I'll only consider buying the PC version in a sale.

PS3 input delay is significant enough to ruin your good time when playing DMC3. The real reason to purchase this remake of a collection of remakes is to convince Capcom there is money to be made with DMC5. They were stoked on the hundred thousand copies of DMC4SE they sold but not stoked enough to pull the Dragon's Dogma boys off whatever they have been working on for the last 2 years.

It's not bad. Classy font, 3 in the forefront because it's the best game and the one most people will buy the collection for, and 1 and 2 in the background.

All they gotta do is put a mission select on 1 and way more people would play it.

What are the chances of quick weapon changes mods on PC for DMC1? Any idea how workable the games are?

No clues yet, i'm really hopeful for it though. Being able to switch guns on the fly would really open up the game to a whole new level. Jump shots with the shotgun into E&I juggles into Nightmare beta charges on the ground sounds like a fucking dream.

That said, 1 Dante does has more outside appearances than the other Dante's combined. DMC3 & MvC just has a far bigger fanbase.

For me in design is 1 > 2 > 4 > 3, although I like 'em all and DMC4's has grown a lot in me lately to the point I'd put it right after DMC1's Dante.

Also regarding MvC3 I love the model of DMC3 Dante there. I think is the face, looks a lot closer to DMC1 Dante for some reason.

Always felt the same. It probably was meant to replicate DMC1 Dante, being that Trish was also in the game as well. Wonder why they never committed to the costume though, especially seeing that the Sparda one was added.

They wanted to go for a more youthful design, plus DMC3 is the most popular.

Yeah I understand why 3 Dante was chosen as the base, meant as an additional costume. Sparda costume seemed like an odd choice, still use it myself though.

MvC3 was a godsend. It did justice to most characters but they completely nailed everything related to DMC.

DMC3 Dante has my favorite design, I dunno I just think it suits him, plus that ones has the best coat. The others have too much red, just make his coat red it stands out more. DMC4 is my least favorite, it looks terrible quite frankly even though hes the most handsome in that one.

I wish they would remake 1 someday. I want to relive the DMC experience like I did with the new Yakuza games.

1 Dante's coat actually has a more pinkish hue to it, don't know how to really describe it, kinda like Magenta.

You and me both brother. Kamiya wants to remake it now, along with Viewtiful Joe, an Okami sequel and a Bayo x DMC crossover. He probably got burned out on creating new shit after the Scalebound cancellation and actually wants to return to something familiar for once. I don't know if he'd get the general appeal of the original down a second time, but still want to see it happen nonetheless. It's all up to whether Capcom holds a grudge or not. They already fucked up with outsourcing too much in the past, but they're sitting on clover IPs they clearly have no clue what to do with. That's just money for them to milk nostalgia with like they do everything else these days.

Have to hold a button to use a specific weapon instead of being able to equip it and walk around with it normally. Featured color coded enemies, so you were forced to use weapons you may not like to progress and you couldn't approach those situations however you wanted to. Cutscenes were cut into some boss fights too frequently. Those are what I can think of from the top of my head, so I'm not sure if there's anything worse aside from story related stuff.

I think the design could work without shoes, as it'd be closer to Seraph from DDS, which is a pretty neat design IMO, or just giving him longer pants, because the shorts + shoes combo just makes him look like a dork without a shirt on, especially because he's just really skinny.
Maybe even add his jacket back, but have it unzipped to reveal the tattoos, maybe.
I dunno. I also don't like his hair all that much, but that's whatever.

PC port with the styleswitcher mod fixes most of the ports issues and gives you access to all styles at one time. Emulation depends on how good your computer/processor is since PS2 emulation is generally iffy. No point buying the PS3 collection since they are re-releasing it all on PC this time around. Don't know if the styleswitcher mod will work on that version though.

I agree with the shoes and hair, but the jacket and longer pants would cover up the sick ass tattoos, and would pretty lame

The rerelease obviously. The current PC port with the SS mod is considered the best option, but it still has a bunch of technical problems.
