I unironically love most of his videos, the humor may be ""dark"" sure but it's still entertaining for me to watch or even just listen to sometimes.
Even when he fails or can't figure something out its still enjoyable to watch.

He has so many haters because he almost never takes blame for his mistakes. He also has a reason or excuse as to why he missed a jump in a game, or lost a match in Street Fighter.

These two were a big part of Phil's channel and it seems like he just dropped them.
On top of that, he constantly criticizes other's intelligence despite the fact that he makes some ludicrous errors in judgement when playing himself but he won't acknowledge it.
All that being said, I used to be a really big fan of DSP back in the day when he was still pointing an HD camera at his TV. He was fairly inspiring with how hard he works on his channel and how much content he puts out. He was one of the earliest guys on YouTube to make it a full-time job, and even though most won't admit it, Phil does has true skill when playing when he can really focus.
