where are you guys?
>Original save game from the Early Access days bugged out, on week 350 or so
>Whenever I finish a mission the game crashes but still afflicts my dudes, giving them quirks and so on, the week doesn't progress, I get sent back to before the mission
>Had to delete it and start a new one
Farewell old friends. At least I'll do it in Darkest mode this time, since that save had been considered Radiant by the game, even though it had been created before Radiant was a thing.
I'm playing Stygian and I'm getting brapped a couple weeks in every-time
is this normal?
*Snort*
How do I use the Flagellant?
Help a brainlet out
1st position tank, hit things to bleed, use the strong ass heal
first line healer, don't use anyone to heal him as he have 2 great selfheal abilty, one of which heal himself and another one for 33% of the max healt, downside of him is that he will always be Rapturous after 100 stress
you can solo boss with him if used properly
how do you guys deal with the shieldbreaker nightmares
i tried using laudanum but for some reason it doesnt let me use it on her
Just got my first Hellion. How do I build this girl?
There's pretty much nothing left for me to do in the game except for the Darkest Dungeons but I'm afraid because I still think I'm not ready.
>that anger when your hero's hit lv 3
>that odd joy when they hit lv 6
I feel conflicted
Laudanum doesn't work on snake horror.
Just kill everything quick as you can, don't take her on camp quests without a team that can handle a snake orgy.
A handy guide.
>hair
Not muh
But plague is a grill!
>Make a shit party
>Didn't notice I clicked on the Siren bossfight
>Oh well might as well do it anyways
>Get bitchslapped hard
Got reminded
At least nobody died, but will never try it again
tfw gonna have all level 3's from the bosses and nobody to start CC stuff with
Good god this game is fantastic! Cant wait to see what kind of game the devs make next.
It's plague doctor and plague knight.
Oh, I haven't played that game.
I want to make party with the SB and Flag - what should the other two classes be?
Hwm and arb for movement and marking.
>arb
>not scoob
You take the biggest possible +dmg trinkets you can get
You get all the camping skills that buff damage, especially hers for when she is in position 1, but also ones like the Occultist's.
You pair her with the Plague Doctor for those +25% damage vapours.
And then you crit bosses for 100+ damage.
And bring Herbs.
...
Somebody got REMINDED to hard. Give the first one a try, it's not to bad.
>decide to fight the Baron because all the bloodsuckers in every dungeon are driving me fucking crazy
>1st room in is a crocodile
That wasn't't even so bad I got off with nearly full health and stress. it's more the fact that I just assumed the red key was to a boss room, and I used it to unlock an empty room connecting two hallways I already went through.
Where is this fucker, goddamn.
...
Reinstalled today, first time playing since before Crimson Court was announced.
I'm in this weird situation where I'm playing like shit but managing?
Like I've never had people end up so fucking stressed and low on health on the first couple embarkments, but I just killed the necromancer apprentice no sweat with Occulstist, Abom, Shieldbreaker and Plague Doctor. I know its not a hard fight but still.
Is the Flagellant worth a shit?
I FINALLY found the fucker. the Courtyard is incomprehensibly massive.
Thing is that its also taken my Bounty Hunter, my Man at Arms, and most infuriatingly, my Flagellant.
Why do Heart Attacks ONLY come the one time they happen to be on Death's Door?
Flagellant is straight up broken if you play him right, and still very good if you play him wrong.
literally just the most brainlet role
>can it bleed?
>whack it
>am I at half hp?
>if one of my allies is low, heal them. Else whack enemy for huge dot+heal and continue from top
Occasionally you might need to balance huge decisions like
>should I take this dot from my ally?
>should I take this stress from my ally?
flag is disgusting fighting anything that can bleed, as long as he doesn't get totally focused down between turns he's practically unkillable
surely you'd want to actively attract damage onto him rather than just attacking every turn
I thought I could avoid CC by activating it and not doing the first quest but now I have the shitty event that halves stress reduction activities every week, supposedly until I start it.
No?
You will take damage normally from playing the game. Just stacking his disgusting DOT on enemies will obliterate them faster than fucking around with his mark when you don't need it.
Pairs well with occultist since her self buff also heals bleed.
I run Blood For the Blood God
>Vestal gets a positive perk event from using Holy Water on an Altar thing
>MFW it gives her "Nymphomania"
I knew she was a pervert.
Also, I've managed to get my Crusader who replaced Reynauld (RIP) up to level 5 now, dude almost makes it too easy with good gear and buffs.
Might start using him to help train up a few other Crusaders so I can run DEUS VULT.
it's much better for him to be the guy getting attacked than any other party member typically. if you're trying to avoid taking an occultist or wasting a slot on a vestal I would think it's a decent idea
>Arbalyst has The Yipps
Fuck youuuuuuuuu
Am I bad for getting Reynauld killed in the tutorial?
Uh oh
Diseases are crazy cheap to cure, pretty much a non-issue.
what do you think is the ideal party for the courtyard dungeons? what do i need the most?
am I a pleb for using the "unluck dungeon level restriction" mod? can't deal with making new heroes all the time, rather have two/three solid teams so I feel connected to them
should I just keep the rabies disease on my damage heroes?
>heroes keep catching diseases
>sometimes multiple
STOP
Remind yourself etc
>using flag as a dedicated healer
lmao what the fuck are you doing?
Do you understand how much less damage and stress you'll get by just killing the fucking enemies instead of fucking around with flag trying to dance him into sub-half hp?
This is begging people to get killed if you're on a mission that actually needs a healer.
I'm gonna keep Reynauld and Dismas alive until the end and there's nothing you can do to stop me
dedicated self healer retard
>A Team finally meets their match
I WANT TO BURY MY NOSE IN PLAGUE DOCTOR'S BUSH!
Keep rabies, just make any +acc quirks permanent. Yes, you need balance your characters, it is cheap to play darkest or stygian/blood moon with that mod on. Just play radiant if you want to take vets to lower level dungeons.
Bleeds and heals
plz respond
your favorie party
get+dmg bloodsucker trinkets
Wait, is this even possible without any alteration?
Ideal party is anything with high acc spd and dodge imo. You need to have resolve level 2 with fully upgraded skills and equipment. Torchlight is at 75+ with blood light but bring torches to burn nests as it relieves stress. Pack carefully.
yeah
just snuff the torch on that level
Yeah if you snuff your torch yeah.
How do you like your Crusader?
left in town so I can use someone outside of the ruins
You need at least one heavy stun for stuff like Chevaliers, also alot of bleeds and heals.
Why OCC debuffs and pulls are great, Bloodmoon lowers bleed resist so might be risky to bring him as your healer.
Mosquitos are the main source of stress here, but shit like the manservants and chevalliers are big problems too.
Stun or quickly kill any monster who transforms into his bloodlust form
Original flavor, preferably with 3 other crusaders. Keep your that disgusting shit in the Warrens where it belongs.
And your Flagellant?
I've stopped having my prime dudes interact with curios etc after my Hellion managed to get Rabies, Wasting Sickness & Haemophelia in one run to kill the Swine Prince.
I mean, it forced me to run a few others dudes whilst she got healed, so I suppose that's a positive. Super annoying though.
I had no idea you could summon it by snuffing out the torch. I thought you could only do it through the orb.
A shambler can spawn at any time if you're walking around in 0 light.
I only do non-item curio interactions with party members I'm gonna dismiss
if they roll some good quirks they get to stay
In a normal difficulty run you have a 1% chance to encounter a shambler if the torch is out. On a champion one it's like 12%
That's not a bad idea. This was a boss run though, so I'd brought my "A-Team" along, and the Hellion was the main damage dealer.
She's dead now anyway ;_; RIP Gaveston
Its a very low chance summon so long as torch level is at 0%. Alter is just a guaranteed summon
i think im gonna get shit for this,
but i would honestly like a male pleague doctor.
Eating hearts in heaven now
YAWP YAWP YAWP YAWP
>Jester gets Curious from a Bas Relief
>next hallway
>Jester forcibly interacts with a Brackish Tide Pool
>gets the Red Plague
You're entitled to your opinion and personal taste
Nothing wrong with that. Wouldn't mind both genders of each class desu. Unfortunately most mods are just male to female and are usually shit. That flagellant is alright though, I'm using that one myself.
I hate the crusader design because Crusader is supposed to be armored and having abs exposed, no matter how delicious, goes against that, but this Flagellant is supposed to be able to whip themselves, so being unclothed makes sense and is welcome.
I'd like an opposite gender skin for all classes, honestly. I try to nab as many as I can, so long as it isn't downright incorrect like I'm not 100% keen on this one I'm posting now, because she has no shirt under this jacket, showing just cleavage but there's too many good frames to drop just because of a couple ones I'm not cool with.
>Tfw gachimuchi got me into working out for real
>tfw my DEEP DARKEST DUNGEOn characters are named after gay wrestling por actors
>I listen to gachi whenever i assemble the gull gachi party.
IKTF
Gonna be starting this for the first(ish) time.
Any tips for a newbie that don't involve reminding myself of how slow and insidious a killer overconfidence is?
Doesn't help that the hair kinda looks like shit, too.
Anyone got the 141 rounds screen if this fight?
Learn the items that make curios work in your favor
You learn something new about the game each day, even though I have like 40 hours played.
Should I buy the crimson court even if I haven't gotten very far in the base game?
just keep reminding yourself
I think you should finish a darkest dungeon at least once first.
Be wary. Triumph and pride precipitate a dizzying fall.
Not like that
I fucking love that the crimson court vampires are disgusting parasitic insects like mosquitoes and ticks rather than bats. Gives those vampires this edgy twist while still retaining the important parts of what makes a vampire. Having them look like poofy fucking noblemen and women in frilly clothes, powdered wigs, and long noses just adds to it all. I'm not sure I can ever go back to bat or even demonic vampires.
I need to even out experience on my roster a bit. How many level 2 heroes can I get away with bringing to a veteran dungeon?
>Hero dies
>delete save and upload backup
>redo battle and win
Feels good man
>Impale
unf
2 SBs on the Flesh dancing in the front
>When her Impale kills all remaining enemies
Feels fucking amazing
