this game is now worth £20-50+
I remember selling it for around £2 back in 2010

HD collection when?

>grew up a poorfag
>always had to trade my games in if I wanted a new one
>all those PS2 games I traded in for like £2 - £5 which have now become rare

2 is still the best

Not OP but sort of related question

I want to start Suidoken 2 as I hear it's good, which I'm sure it is. However, it's a direct sequel to 1. No one seems to ever talk about or recommend 1. Should I skip 1 or am I going to seriously miss out on a lot if I do?

You miss literally nothing starting with 2.

Only if they use the good boxart.

I know that feel, I sold all my games and consoles to build my first computer. Only game I kept was Shadow of the Colossus limited edition.

1 is solid, art kinda shitty. Doing 1 to 2 is fine. People are split on 3 but its... okay. You'll have fun I bet. 4 is regarded as terrible by everyone. I agree its the worst but I was able to withstand it.

5 is legit good, I think its 2nd best one behind 2. The issue was 4 was so bad that a lot of people didn't want to go back to the series even for 5. 5 takes the best stuff from all previous games and combines it. The biggest downfall in 5 imo is there's assloads of recruitables who are highly missable. Like sometimes it feels like you just plain need a guide. There's a guy you can miss when you're forced to backtrack a dungeon you just cleared, and he's down some fucking side path only during that ONE backtrack. You're never hinted he's been stuffed down there in any way shape or form, and if you miss him thats perfect end gone. There's probably 10+ situations that are this bullshit in 5.

not representative of the game at all

2 has entire compulsory dungeons that are only even there as fanservice to the people who played 1.

Sort of want a remake over a HD collection to be honest, only for the possibility of a Jowy Mode or something. Granted whoever would develop it would probably fuck it up so maybe not.

Suikoden 3 had a great manga series.

Is it that much? I got it for $15 at blockbuster

Are you high? Nothing says suikoden like building the tower of babel and flying your pet dragon to the moon where you face the 6 emperors of westernized art

Understandable, it was legit good.

did it? because the game was garbage. Would be nice to know something decent came from it

Suikoden 2 > Suikoden 5 > Suikoden 1 > Suikoden 3 = Suikoden 4 > Suikoden Tactics > The DS game.

+1

Is the PSP game any good? is it translated somwhere?

BARBAROSSA DID NOTHING WRONG

Don't you first worlders have people to mod your PS2s ? Jesus...

Yep

user, have you learned your lesson yet?
>Game in a series where one of the installments was hovering near $200 for a copy
>Let me just sell this later installment for $2, it surely won't ever go up
Don't sell JRPGs early unless you somehow hate money. Even the trashiest games are going up steadily over time

Redpill me on Rhapsodia.

Prominent characters make their return in 2 as fairly prominent characters again, and other characters continue recurring in the background throughout the entire series. Play 1 first for the best experience as you get to see old friends again. 1->2 has the most fan service for people who played the previous game as it's not just talking about or hinting about the previous game, the previous game is still there in a sense.

tactical turn-based RPG like FFT, FE etc..
It fleshs out some characters and plot from Suikoden 4 and have its own (average) story. If you want more about 4, go for it.
