Pac-Man World 2

If girl, fag or man who truly don't give a shit.
Then Stardew Valley

If autist
Then Rimworld

If other
Then Cities: Skylines

>Cities: Skylines
There are too many broken elements in the game for me to truly enjoy it. Roads are so bad.

Anno 1404

>If autist
>RImworld
That's not Dwarf Fortress or Aurora

Roleplaying your ruler according to his traits in CK2 is super comfy. Don't care about a possible game over, just tag along on a dynasty's journey to glory or down the drain.

...

One of my favorite video games, its got great devs too theyre still updating it and adding stuff

Yeah, it's about comfy games after all. The kind of autism you need to enjoy dorf fort is detrimental to the peace of mind.

...

...

This is the opposite of comfy

Reminds me of when I recreated Tenochtitlan and Constantinople in AoE2 editor.

love every game in the series, but
caesar 3>emperor>zeus>pharaoh

Yoy're bad
Bet you complain all cars pile up on a single highway lane

dorf fort

...

Cities Skylines got old fast

Literally this

Get Rush Hour mod and get gud. Problem solved. Though I'm not defending the game, it's shit in plenty of other aspects. But managing traffic is easy so long as you think of it as a slide and not actual roads.

i bought this game exactly because it looked incredibly comfy and by all acounts it should be-great athmosphere, fun mechanics, great winter surroundings and shelters, etc...But the fact that you gotta constantly be on the move to survive kills the comfy element for me.
Wish the included a mod or some kind of scenario, or whatever with bigger settling elements.I'd like to be able to just chill next to my fireplace while there is blzizard and wolves outside once i get deep in the game and have self-sufficient wood and food sources around me

They do. Mods might make the problem less pronounced but nothing you can do will solve it.

>sim city 4
FTFY

People who post dorf fort either have nostalgia glasses on or never played the game. It isin't comfycore at all and is more akin to taking amphetamines while building a house of cards.

Darkwood

But user, 2 cat lmao.

WE

I usually stay put for the most part, i find a location and pretty much just make that into my house, esspecially when i play interloper, mystery lake is great for that, theyres fishing spots and alot of firewood around their, i know what you mean that you need to find new locations to collect supplies but the way i play after im done scavenging those locations i always come back home, and to me that makes it super comfy

The traffic in skylines is so obnoxious because it doesn't even represent individual journeys needed to move goods and people around the city, it's just a volume of objects generated by the number of buildings you have. So there is absolutely no fucking reason why it needs to behave the way it does.

minecraft is top tier comfycore, if you say otherwise you're contrarian and there's no hope for you.

Drakensang The River of Time

Nice false dichotomy user. It's ok to not like the game, you don't have to pretend no one else can.
Darkwood has some top notch sound design. Too spooky to be comfy, though.

Thinking about getting a wheel and pedals for this.

Literally this

That feeling when you turned the entire region into a bigger city. My dream is to play a game that let's me recreate 1:1 NYC.

Oh yes, nothing comfier than freezing to death and having your entrails ripped out by wolves

Also one of the challenges is, their is a huge storm coming and you have to prepare for it so before it arrives you have to collect enough food, water, firewood, etc before it arrives then you have to stay put in a house until it ends if thats what youre looking for

the undisputed king of comfy

I tried Kingdoms and Castles, it's okay but I don't think I'm suited for city-building games. It feels like you just develop your city until you get bored.

Every time I make this, even with a billion farms and fishing, people start dying off and it tumbles down.

The fuck am I doing wrong?

I would like Sklines more if the DLC wasn't so expensive. The fuck I'm going to pay 10 bucks for transit options that should have been in the base game.

Idk comfy atmosphere, also if thats not what youre looking for in the game play easy you rarely ever seen any wolves or bears and you can survive for pretty much ever

Why don't more people try to make spiritual successors to these? I fucking loved these games.

The 360 Controller with sequential shifting is comfy tho

that game is extremely boring, though. it lacks content and poses no sort of challenge

The writing, music and voice acting are all god tier. Few games have immersed me like this one.

This is alright but picking a random start is annoying because it will sometimes put you in that mountain area where there is fucking nothing to find and you basically can't get anywhere without getting hypothermia first

Stardew Valley is on the clock, hardly comfy

I will never forget the stress of running out of food and being forced to walk for an IRL hour in a snowstorm. This game is definitely NOT comfy

>Nice false dichotomy user
I'm not him, but he didn't use a dichotomy, let alone a false one, he simply said what he felt the experience is like and how he disagreed that it fell into the "comfy" genre.

I don't agree with his assessment, but at least use proper rhetoric when you dismiss it.

only on 1.2.5
otherwise its garbage

Yeah it seems that way. At least it's being updated frequently. Maybe I'll like Stronghold 1/2 since I apparently already own that.

Variety of food has an effect on the health of your people. So if you're only getting one or two types of food their "health" lowers and makes them more susceptible to illnesses and random deaths.

Same stuff posted every thread. Are there really like 5 games that allow to relax and simply enjoy the gameplay with minimal stress?
Pls post something that is not usually mentioned, I really want something nice to play.

Is that a version without the shitty food mechanic

honestly thinking about getting it for switch or ps4. would recommend?

Autism

just play sc4 with the NAM mod

Kerbal Space Program is comfy once you're over the learning curve and no longer explode into debris killing everyone in a ball of fire and suffering every time you launch.

The problem with SC4 modding is that a lot of stuff is hacked in to be able to work at all. The NAM stuff is mainly useful for improved traffic, but trying to actually use some of the stuff it adds in is just plain torture. One of the worst user interaction models I've seen in games.

true. i just use NAM so the pathfinding is finally fixed, improves a lot too

>either have nostalgia glasses on or have never played the game
>not a false dichotomy

its a good game.

either is fine but it makes a good portable game on switch. Dev has been real good about making sure updates are broadly made.

Endless Legend

Incredible artstyle and soundtrack, and just straight comfy to play. The learning curve can be a little steep though, especially if you're new to 4x games.

you having minmaxing autism is not a fault of the game

Roads are fine, you just suck ass at planning

>Roads are fine
How do you plan around this?

Nothing comfier than coming back to The Strip after a long day of killing cazadors and deathclaws desu

>comfy

Factorio
Conways game of life
Sim games
Tycoon games
Economic games
City builders
Political simulators

>grand dad had one of the first Caesar games on his pc
>played it when I stayed with him and my grandma
>he would occasionally come in and just watch me play and occasionally we would talk about the game, but I was a pretty silent child, so mostly he'd just watch
>kept doing so as I grew older and played other games, just him and me and sharing that moment in silence

even thinking about it gives me a sense of tranquility

miss you, sorry for never asking if you wanted to try

Roads are the best part though

...

I used to play some MMO and just go around gathering herbs and such. Nothing else, my character was completely pacifist.

How are they dying? Do they run out of food? I've gotten every achievement on this game and it still surprises me that people find it hard.

this nigga gets it

Anyone played Mashinky? It looks pretty good, but it is early access so I don't know if it's a half finished mess or not.

...

It's a great game to just explore and wander in. I'll probably never play it again though because the magic of the game is in not knowing what's around the corner.

...

Turn the hud on pro mode for max comfiness.

I really want to love this game because it has beautiful art and interesting game systems, but I felt like I always falling behind the AI, even though I was probably playing on one of the easiest difficulties to learn the game.

>looks at the jam instead of what's jamming it
This is why people laugh at your complaints.

>B-B-B-BUT THEY'RE ALL IN ONE LANE
Yeah, and I bet you a million billion dollars its because that's the only lane that takes them where they're going.

Do I have deja-vu or have you posted this before?

what game?

wat game

Use reverse image search, niggers, literally the first result.

> I bet you a million billion dollars its because that's the only lane that takes them where they're going.
That's really not how real traffic works.

>how do I rightclick an image and select search google for image
literally the first result

there was some other "comfy game" discussion thread and i posted a similar post to some other user who purposed the long dark a few days ago

Life is Feudal forest village. It's early access so you better be pirating it if you want to give it a go.

How do you plan around this? I made sure to get a picture with the junctions left in.

I never see them mentioned in these threads but I find clicker/incremental games to be comfy.

>wake up
>make coffee
>check on the progress of all my incremental games
Maximum comfy.

You know that posting an image of a game, and when obviously people ask what game, you are doing the Sup Forums version of

>help I have a problem
>hey, i'll pm you the solution
or
>I have problem
>nvm I fixed it, close the thread

faggot.

Game is life is feudal

Best. Ambiance is God tier.

>That's really not how real traffic works.
And more's the pity, because it's far more efficient than real life where 99% of jams are caused by people failing to merge early enough and having to slam on the brakes to make their exit no matter how well the road is engineered.

Can you seriously not see the problem there?

All the traffic on the highway wants to turn to its left (our right) off that interchange but the one way roads force it to do a circuitous loop. Let the traffic turn left (our right) immediately by taking out the one-ways.

And then build a new interchange earlier in the highway so that traffic doesn't have to take that exit and then drive back the way it came to actually get where it wants to go and can just exit directly into the (looks to be) commercial area and deliver its goods.

YOU FUCKING RETARD.

ProgressQuest is best progress quest

This isn't some sort of obscure technical issue with hardware or software. It's basic internet usage knowledge.
I would understand if the image was a unique screenshot or a crop, but it's literally image off the internet.

You shouldn't spoonfeed people. Let them learn how to solve their own issues so that they don't litter the threads with "sauce".
Fag.

Also
>3 intersections in 30 metres, including one which is a fucking TINY strip of road sandwiched between two massive intersections
You fucking idiot.

>voice acting

Some of the voices are terrible. American accents ruin it for me too

this guy is right, fuck the unhelpful faggot attitude
