I’m going to start up Drakengard tonight. I’m hoping that the story is as good as Nier’s and Automata’s are.

The Last Story. A JRPG for the wii a game about lowly mercenaries that dream of being knights, of epic romance, friendship, and how much morally ambiguous shit you are willing to to for all of it.

Its been on my shelf for like 5 fucking years and this holiday season i decided its finally time. For those who dont know it was made by Mistwalker a studio founded by Hironobu Sakaguchi the guy behind most Final Fantasy games from 1 till 9. Mistwalker also employs (or did) alot of the old FF team that left with Sakaguchi.

Sakaguchi said that he was making the Last Story like it was he's final game and it shows. There is just so many little details packed into this thing. So many little chatacter moments and creativity that you can tell it was a labor of love. The combat while odd at first really makes use of the wii motion controls

TL;DR The last story is a GREAT game that could have been a FANTASTIC game if it wasnt only for the original wii. I strongly suggest emulating it if your a FF ir jrpg fan

Im playing Purseowner as well Op, 62 hours and going strong

I'm literally playing Yakuza 0 right after Persona 5. Don't do it man, going from that smoothness into this clusterfuck makes it feel all the worse. Play something else in between.
Not to say that Y0 is bad, it's just so all over the place thematically and it just keeps swapping tone all the time without notifying you. Plus holy shit the dialogue and tutorial feel like maximum jank after P5 even though it's not objectively awful.

I just beat Bloodborne. I’m thinking about finishing P5 (I just finished Depths of Mementos) or getting back into DaS3. Last time I played like a year ago I had just killed Aldrich. I’ve also got MGSV and Witcher 3 waiting for me to start them, and the FFXV DLC

Looks pretty, movement feels fun. Finding it impossible to get into though.
Guards spot you almost immediately on V.Hard mode which makes it pretty frustrating when you just want to collect a bonecharm you wont use.
New protag bothers me as a stealth game protagonist and it feels like there was a big SJW push with characters in this game

Basically this, the story will feel really slow until you reach chapter 3, then it gets way better

DMC 3. Not that good to be honest, I liked Godhand way more

I just beat Persona 5 today and I've got to say

They really fucked up on everything that isn't the first dungeon and ending in terms of story and design. The core gameplay is solid, but a lot of the dungeons, particularly the ship one are trash. There was a lot of wasted potential and they failed to fix the issues of Persona 3 and 4 in terms of handling music transitions, and a lot of choices for the score and where they were played were down right questionable. They also copied a lot of story elements from Persona 3 and 4 and the only part I really enjoyed about the villains was the traitor and how he was delivered. Knew who he was from the second he was introduced, but holy shit they caught me off guard. Thought I had accidentally gotten the bad ending when I was playing through it.

P5 English dub worth it?

playing Resident Evil Revelations 2. It's got the perfect balance of puzzles and action of the RE games I've played and I don't feel like a dumbass trying to solve them. Raid mode is also a good fun time waster.

I think BBS is such a FUN and GOOD game. It's very COHESIVE, and does a lot for the Kingdom Hearts STORY.

I started another Darkest Dungeon file and just killed Veteran Necromancer. Things are moving way faster than the first time I went through it

Every scene in the game is a "blocked scene"

Tales of Berseria.

Enjoying it way more than I thought I would, the characters are superb, the visuals are charming, the combat's simple but fun. Dungeons drag on for how bland and repetitive visually they are, but it feels like a small price to pay for a good story and characters.

D3 is the only one as good as the niers

D1/D2, you're best off just watching the cutscenes on yt

Tbh, its probably better playing through with some friends though and that might be coloring my opinion.

I guess a lot of people bought a ps4 for christmas/vacation/wathever and these are the first games they would play.

Just finished P5 and loved it, about to start Yakuza 0 but I might do NG+ for P5 first.

I think all the dungeons are pretty alright except Futaba's and Shido's. I think most people think Kamoshida's is the best that doesn't feel contrived. Sae's is a close second to me because it had a fun gimmick.

Playing Dragon Age Cisquisition for the first time.
Enjoying it quite a bit, with the exception of those shitty artificially gameplay lengthening time eater missions.
Cassandra is the closest you can get to having a Sister of Battle as a waifu, and it’s great.

You can ignore most of the starting area

DAI is good for one playthrough, just make sure you grab the DLC, they're all pretty okay and Trespasser adds some great gameplay additions like alternate upgrade paths for every active ability

Finally able to get into Morrowind. The key is to not try and get perfect level ups, really sucks the fun out of the game.

So does getting an ebony scimitar

Yakuza 0, which is amazing, and I think I'm gonna go back to Persona 5. The soundtrack and aesthetic are just so damn good and I think I'm pretty close to filling out my Personadex.

Thats further on though. I"m just doing guild quests in Balmora as Imperial master race.

Finishing Persona 5. It's okay. The confidant scenes are kind of weak and the characters are kind of meh. Afterwards I have a few other games I need to finish.
