I’m going to start up Drakengard tonight. I’m hoping that the story is as good as Nier’s and Automata’s are.

The Last Story. A JRPG for the wii a game about lowly mercenaries that dream of being knights, of epic romance, friendship, and how much morally ambiguous shit you are willing to to for all of it.

Its been on my shelf for like 5 fucking years and this holiday season i decided its finally time. For those who dont know it was made by Mistwalker a studio founded by Hironobu Sakaguchi the guy behind most Final Fantasy games from 1 till 9. Mistwalker also employs (or did) alot of the old FF team that left with Sakaguchi.

Sakaguchi said that he was making the Last Story like it was he's final game and it shows. There is just so many little details packed into this thing. So many little chatacter moments and creativity that you can tell it was a labor of love. The combat while odd at first really makes use of the wii motion controls

TL;DR The last story is a GREAT game that could have been a FANTASTIC game if it wasnt only for the original wii. I strongly suggest emulating it if your a FF ir jrpg fan

Im playing Purseowner as well Op, 62 hours and going strong

I'm literally playing Yakuza 0 right after Persona 5. Don't do it man, going from that smoothness into this clusterfuck makes it feel all the worse. Play something else in between.
Not to say that Y0 is bad, it's just so all over the place thematically and it just keeps swapping tone all the time without notifying you. Plus holy shit the dialogue and tutorial feel like maximum jank after P5 even though it's not objectively awful.
