Not even being ironic. Kylo Ren is a good villain, and the best part of the movie was how he was basically trying to destroy every institution in the universe in order to put his emotional baggage behind him. He's childish and emotionally incontinent, which makes him much more interesting than your average evil badass character. Plus, the discussion of whether or not to just put the legacy of Star Wars behind them, or to continue in their predecessors footsteps, was a nice meta commentary on making a sequel to such iconic films generally.

The Last Jedi had dumb shit in it and Finn is cancer, but it was respectably unpredictable and had some great moments.
