be honest people. How do you justify doing things like
>beating the same game but on super hard mode >speedrunning >smurfing >limiting yourself in games for bragging rights example (ONLY PISTOL RUN)
at the point where you're doing things like this doesn't it signify that you're wasting at little TOO much time on video games. I understand everyone needs leisure time and I don't see an issue with playing video games once a day. but at the point where you're clawing for ways to enjoy the same shit again and again, wouldn't you enjoy yourself a lot more developing a different skill. not even saying it has to be productive? is this like an autism or an ADHD thing? doesn't it feel awful knowing that you're undoubtedly wasting your time doing shit like that?
why is she wearing a garbage bag that's been cut into pieces

>beating the same game but on super hard mode >speedrunning >limiting yourself in games for bragging rights some people have fun challenging themselves >smurfing some people have fun destroying noobs

I did all the things except speedrunning for MGS 3. i dunno 14 yo me just thought it was the right to do the whole thing with unnarmed CQC and the tranq pistol to not provoke a conflict killing all those innocent dudes only because he has unresolved mommy issues with the boss.
Leo Harris
cuz im not a fucking casual you soiboi
Ryder Clark
a lot of things can be challenging. while I said learning a new skill doesn't need to be productive it still needs to be said that time spent getting crazy good at one paticular video game can be spent on painting, learning to code, learning an instrument, drawing and learning a new language.
some of those are even fun to some.
even then being productive isn't even what this is about, play some TTRPGS, try some different music, watch an old film or some shit.
I just feel like a lot of people sink themselves into depression with these habits.
Camden Nguyen
You made this thread because youre bad at video games OP
James Butler
>limiting self >tranq pistol

I have to admit. I did that too

>replaying games for any reason there is literally no excuse for this
once you beat the game move on and get a new one

I have ascended to a new kind of fetish
Cooper Ortiz
if you beat a video game, surely that means you're not BAD at it. what level of BEAT do you have to achieve before you arbitrarily label someone as "GOOD" at video games?
Jeremiah Davis
Trying to beat Halo 2 on hard mode, single player, was the worst time I've ever had.
Gabriel Baker
This is flawed reasoning. If you beat Mega man 2 on easy you didnt actually beat the game. You beat the mode created specifically for bad players like yourself.
You suck OP
Samuel Sullivan
Refreshing your memory, using a different play style, checking out things you missed, NG+ content. Plenty of reasons.

Trophies unless I really really like the game
Alexander Martinez
hah, that means you too you idiot
Jordan Long
What if i just really like the game?
Honestly this rule of yours make no sense.
Cooper Bailey
If it's an rpg why not try diffrent builds? I played trhough new begas like 5 times, das 8 times, das2 4 times, oblivion like 10 times, morrowind twice and skyrim once beacuse that's all you need for that shit rpg.

>spend teenage years playing q3 against bots rail only until 100 kills at 98% accuracy >15 years later think i had ADHD as a teenager
probably ADHD op

For fun. /thread.
Nolan Richardson
I'm not sure if you're projecting. you just made an assumption on how I play games I play hard like everyone else here. at least then when I beat a game I can say I've beat it. regardless I don't think you understand the point is to branch out and develop more hobbies rather than perfecting one hobby that doesn't bring anything positive into your life.
Austin Stewart
Honest question, how can anyone have fun stomping a single player game?
Camden Young
cause it's fun
Eli Nelson
I just do that when I REALLY like the game.
Justin Thomas
Because it's fun.
Luis Brooks
I'm pretty sure I see some nice vagina in that pic.
Who is this anyway?
Brody Sanchez
>How do you justify I enjoy it.
>doesn't it signify that you're wasting at little TOO much time on video games. That's normalfag talk right there. If it's good, play it. If it's still good, keep playing.

no yous for the right answer

SPEEDRUNNING IS THE MOST DEGENERATE ACT MAN HAS COME UP WITH

Why do you care how other autists spend time? I think some the stuff you listed is stupid too but not enough to give a shit and complain about it.

Figuring out how to do it is fun.

I smurf in Dark Souls because 99% of invasions at higher levels are ganks or at low levels, people summoning their level 200 friend in end-game gear. You need to smurf to have equal footing when the odds are so stacked against you.
Plus, low SL runs are so challenging they are fun on their own.
Jace Adams
People speedrun a game because they love the game. Although in cases where people speedrun a game just for a WR then yes it's autism.

> I just feel like a lot of people sink themselves into depression with these habits. > perfecting one hobby that doesn't bring anything positive into your life.
Okay, so one why do you assume that people can't be really good at a video game or several and have other hobbies. Secondly why are you trying to psychoanalyze and give counseling to random people on an anonymous message board? Are you that infatuated with yourself that you think your doing them a favor?
Like advocating or sharing your personal lifestyle and habits is one thing, but like this whole faux altruistic preeching thing reeks of pseudo-intellectualism.
Thomas Ross
I never even finish any of the main scenarios in an Elder Scrolls game. Does that mean replaying them is more wasteful or less wasteful for me?
desu I just wanted to see how people responded. obviously what other people do doesn't bother me but I wanted insight into why other than "I enjoy it." I enjoy nutting, I don't try to work my way up to EXTREME nutting.
Landon Howard
>unremarkable body >terrible shot b-but it's miku.

Gabriel Gomez
Since this is the closest thing to a Miku thread should I get Project Diva X for $25 or get Future Tone and spend roughly the same on song packs?
Oliver Lewis
I don't know. For me i feel like it's a good time to stop and redo once iv'e finished my build and everything is easy and boring. specifically elder scrolls.

I loved playing Peace Walker with the Banana and Phantom Pain with the Water Pistol, which was a lot more useful than the former "weapon" was
