So SquareEnix has confirmed that Dragon Quest Builders is not only coming to Switch, but it will release in America and Europe in February. A month before the Japanese release of the game.
However, they also lied and didn't give us any information on the release of Dragon Quest XI before the end of 2017.

Dragon Quest Builders has been out for an eternity, I already played it to death on PS4
Adam Campbell
>DQ news Cool.
>Just Builders not even news about bringing 2 over O-Oh. Well it's something I guess. At least it'll play come early.
Landon Carter
That doesn't mean everyone else played it.
John Hall
Was debating getting this on pstv. Have you played it? Any good?
Juan Myers

Daniel Fisher
Only after marriage of course
Owen Howard
Yes it is good. Every DQ game is (except maybe Heroes).
Jose James
Hi. Ah, good. Yeah, never really been a huge fan of those warriors type games m'self
Ethan Jackson
>Dragon Quest XI comes out >voice acting is added for no reason >Martina's name is changed to Millie for no reason >she has a slutty French accent for no reason Can't wait...
Brody Allen
>2 years after I already played it Yeah, thanks Square.
Landon King
>>voice acting is added for no reason Yeah, no reason. I can't wait to hear you complaining about the orchestra added for no reason.
Joseph Morales
Orchestra is an actual improvement, unlike voice acting.
Adrian Sanchez
>voice acting is added for no reason Well maybe they shouldn't have spent money on retarded cutscenes showing people move their mouths as if they'e talking, everything from the gameplay, presentation and OST looks outdated as fuck to the point even Granblue looks like a higher budget JRPG. DQ11 on PS4 is gonna bomb so hard in the west.
Camden Bailey
But I wouldn't complain about orchestrated music.
>Well maybe they shouldn't have spent money on retarded cutscenes showing people move their mouths as if they'e talking A lot of games in the past had done this. Just because we now have the capacity to have full voice acting doesn't mean it is necessary to do it. Especially when a western localization will make it horrible.
>Wah DQ is dtaed and I hate it I predict it will fail! Funny how I heard this before both DQVIII and IX released. And every Pokemon game.
Angel Jenkins
>unlike voice acting Yeah, nothing better than cutscenes with elaborate HD models, body language and mouths moving and nothing but beeps and bops belonging to an NES game coming out.
Brody Nelson
...
Lincoln Gomez
>Well maybe they shouldn't have spent money on retarded cutscenes showing people move their mouths as if they'e talking Dragon Quest IX and the remake of VII did this. And it wasn't hard to read text in those games. Suddenly its so out of place and impossible to read because its an FMV cutscene?
Jace Young
I'm ready.
Ian Collins
The models and animations in those games were early PS1 tier, nothing comparable to DQXI. Stop pretending to be obtuse.
Brayden Walker
Armpit licking!
Colton Butler
>A lot of games in the past had done this. Key word "past", shit looks retarded now especially in 2018, and it doesn't help that despite removing voices they even cheapened out on the content of the game half way through on the PS4 version, the whole game reeks of half assed bullshit. The last time a mainline DQ released on consoles on was on PS2 you retard, it's had no relevance here outside spin offs since on consoles, the 3ds version will outsell it here.
Nicholas Carter
Come on, it's easily forgivable with models like that where the cutscenes is barely infront of their face close up when they talk. I'm not even bitching about the 3ds version of DQ11, it's the best version.
Nathan Adams
Where is DQBII...
Andrew Sanchez
Again, you are required to have voice acting in a game once graphics reach a certain threshold? I can name plenty of games that would be better without voice acting, such as the latest Zelda or Dragon Quest VIII. But I'm sure you're going to scream that the DQVIII voices were perfect. Let's just agree that we'll never see eye to eye on this.
Owen Collins
Enjoy your mind broken cock sleeve.
There's a reason why there's no info. Also they'll probably debate on how to censor marutina's mind break.
Luis Walker
Still in development.
Gabriel Anderson
>Again, you are required to have voice acting in a game once graphics reach a certain threshold? Do you see anyone asking for voice acting for the 3DS version? As says, once a game cutscenes are directed like it was a movie and models and animations themselves could be from a CGI animation film, beeps and bops instead of voices just sound jarring.
Dylan Thompson
>implying Sony hasn't moneyhatted it and waiting for E3 to showcase November release EXCLUSIVELY on PS4
They've already taken MH off Nintendo, they don't give a fuck
Hunter Reyes
Nah, it's because the only version coming to the west is the upcoming definitive Switch version, with the content of both PS4 and 3DS and orchestral OST and voice acting.
Josiah Ortiz
>Do you see anyone asking for voice acting for the 3DS version? I have seen that in other threads. But you're still not really answering the question.
>As says, once a game cutscenes are directed like it was a movie and models and animations themselves could be from a CGI animation film, beeps and bops instead of voices just sound jarring. But other series like Zelda and Dragon Quest did this for decades. Dragon Quest X is actually a pretty impressive game because they were able to convey a huge range of reactions and emotions during cutscenes without any spoken dialogue. I'm willing to give DQXI the same benefit of the doubt. If when I play it, the game is jarring and weird, I'll admit it. But given how bad the translations and voice acting have been for every DQ game since VIII, I'd rather they just don't even try it. Also to preserve the way Yuji Horii made the game, which has no voice acting in Japan.
And it's not like you can pass judgement on the game either. You're insisting it must have voices based on seeing a couple FMVs online out of context.
>shut up, I've played it! Sure you have...
Brayden Powell
>Also to preserve the way Yuji Horii made the game, which has no voice acting in Japan. But you wouldn't avoid the equally inauthentic orchestral OST. The double standards regarding voice acting are retarded. Yes Dragon Quest has to stay an old school gaming experience, everyone agrees, but for some reason this only results in disdain voices, while HD cutting edge graphics are A-Ok.
Alexander Howard
*disdain for voices

>Minecraft is insanely popular on PC >Square copies it and releases it on PS4/Switch and not on PC Fucking gooks
Hudson Anderson
>wanting voice acting in the western version of DQs >Oi m8, ow we gon climb dat mounteen ov thar?
Landon Allen
>But you wouldn't avoid the equally inauthentic orchestral OST. Because adding orchestrated music doesn't make the actual game worse. And Yuji Horii does want to have orchestrated music in his games. Hence why he has been adding it whenever he can (including "forcing" the Japanese fans to "put up with it" in Dragon Quest X).
But when it comes down to it, you are right. It is my opinion that voice acting doesn't improve the game. And I'm going to voice that option. Just like you will voice that you think voice acting should be added. I am not going to complain about your opinion like you're complaining about mine. I'm just going to stick to my original statement that, based on my view, every attempt to have voice acting in a DQ game hasn't helped it. So of course I'm not going to advocate they keep doing it.

Do you guys sometimes feel that women have it easier than men?
Like, take OP's pic. If you're a woman, and you look anything like that in terms of body shape (either through good genes, training, makeup/surgery or whatever) you are essentially set for life.
If you look like her, you have from your teens to your late-20s to bag a rich man (long term or short) and you're essentially golden. And if you look anything like that men are going to be head over heels for you, and you can just pick he one that has the highest chance of securing your future.
I'm starting to belive the meme that women are playing on easy mode, as the above-mentioned is just not a realistic option for men, while it's literally the go-to strategy of most women.
Brayden Gomez
It didn't have strong story arcs or NPC characters. People often blame this on having a party of characters you create. But Dragon Quest III had the same thing and the story was still interesting. Because most of the story in DQIII was focused on you, the son of a hero, following in your fathers footsteps. In Dragon Quest IX, most of the story is about going around and fixing the problems of random people. You are not really the focus but an errand boy. And the problems you're fixing aren't that interesting, except maybe the girl and the whale. This could have been fixed by having a more compelling story for all the other Angelic beings, but they hardly get anything either.
Nathaniel Jackson
In some ways, yes. Especially in the current political system where women are always given the benefit of the doubt. But women still have their own issues. Mostly other women sabotaging them.
James Green
Go shit up some other thread
Samuel Reed
True, but infighting has been a concept among men for millennia too. Fighting for better jobs, for better position, for more bragging rights and fighting for (ironically enough) women.
Most guys will backstab, lie, and manipulate each other in the never-ending rat race to achieve these things and though I'm sure women do the same, their goals are still a lot easier to reach aren't they?
Anthony Evans
It tried to be 3 but failed.
Sebastian Hill
>And the problems you're fixing aren't that interesting, except maybe the girl and the whale The doll story was the only good one. Whale and knight were fine, rest sucked, expecially university and nomads. And wasn't the statues one taken straight from another game?
Ian Nguyen
>And wasn't the statues one taken straight from another game? VII
Julian Perry
In fairness though, looking like the woman in OPs pic is probably no picnic either. Sure, some of it's probably genenes, but in real life maintaining that type of figure is exhausting.
Look at her wasteline for example. Can you imagine how many skipped meals, nights of hunger, and thousands of sit-ups it takes to maintain something like that, all while making sure to keep your curves?
Then there's the hunt, and she has to actually FIND promising males, and then make sure they stay interested enough long enough for the trap of marriage to kick in.
And all this, years and years of fake smiles, fake laughs, and confidence building for the man can go straight down the drain if the guy gets cold feet the day before the wedding. Then she has to start all over, and the time she wasted on this one she's not getting back. Every day her pool of potential candidates get smaller.
Gavin Ramirez
Fuck off.
