La-Mulana 2 Update #193: This year!

Hi all. Happy New Year! ""I'm sure we can release the game this year.""
The game is near complete that I can even say above out aloud.
But, but, I won't speak a word about the release date until we are sure about it.
We've done this too many times before... Thanks for all the kind words from the fans, like ""No ones angry at you!""
This is not true. My wife is already furious. This IS a huge issue.

Well, I'm mostly sure that we can celebrate this year. Yes, this year!

NIGORO Takumi Naramura

...

It better not disappoint.

I can't overstate how excited I am for this game. I've been going back and playing old MSX roms to bide be while I wait.

>Not going out and buying a leather bound journal to write down clues, draw maps are write other misc shit of interest that could be relevant later

No wonder you fags couldn't beat the original without a guide.

Naramura-san posted this pic in the previous update. I find it hard to believe they're aiming to release before fucking PAX West 2018 when it looks 95% finished already.

When is Pax West?
I don't believe for a second that we're going to get this thing anytime soon despite what they say.

It happens in September every year if I'm not wrong.

I'm too casual to beat the first game. It's such a chore because of the puzzles. will 2 have a casual modo?

Naramura has shown that the tablets will have a tip that tell from what field it belongs to. Look at the large emblem at the lower left. Also the top right tells which generation wrote it. That will make puzzle solving somewhat easier.

Ahh, the monthly "The game is almost finished guys!" letter.
Always on time with those, for the past five years.

just use a guide senpai
bizarrely the bosses are the easiest part

I can't wait to never finish this.

>It's such a chore because of the puzzles.
You dipshit, its a fucking puzzle platformer

Finally, a good Unity game will be released.

It is possible to finish the first one without a guide? How many times you guys used a guide?

This was as poorly planned out as mighty no 9 star shitizen and all the other kickstarter games, but no one has made a stink about it.

Of course it's possible.
This meme (and it is, without a doubt, a fucking meme) that the game is too hard needs to die. I'm a fucking brainlet and I made it through the game without a guide.
I swear, everybody must play like some dumb ass let's player who runs through rooms without properly taking a look around. La-Mulana puts a lot of emphasis on its backgrounds so of course you're gonna struggle if you aren't paying attention to basic shit like that.

4-5 times
First time to find the the Fruit of Eden and twice in the gate of illusion, then I don't remember.

Because apart from the delays, it's been relatively drama free so no one found a reason to bitch about it, really.

Look at it this way: if you miss a single detail of some tablet from 5 hours ago in a spot 6 areas away then there's no way to advance other than scouring every inch of every area knifing walls and floors in frustrationv trying to find a clue. That's if you even found the info initially and it wasn't hidden behind a completely obtuse hidden area or puzzle.

I got up to where you start exploring the B side areas before I caved (lol). Just use a guide.

I need something bigger because of my fuckhuge writing. A4 paper suited me just fine for the first game.
