Reach Exalted for the respective faction on one character. You can do that in a week or two nowadays.

Nightborne Monk, don't have a Monk yet so it seems like a good time. Maybe a Mage or Warlock too later, or race changing one of my current ones.

When Zandalari come out I'll level a Druid for them then race change my Shaman into one as well.

I'll give you Argus, those chains are terrible, but the Suramar storyline was pretty good.

And like I said, there's nothing "no-life" about Legion reputations, you catch up on those just as fast as you catch up on gear.

Also the questline, emissary, and order hall missions. Some of the wq's also reward additional rep tokens.
Two weeks might cut it short for that aprticular rep but it definitely doesn't take longer than a month.

i would think that the intention of classic is literally a copied/pasted vanilla wow with zero improvements (unless they remaster it like they did with sc1) which is what i'm pretty sure everyone wants anyway. so in that case they would only have to do stuff like setup servers and w/e else is required with little to no actual game development

They should launch classic and go through the patches.

They sold the actual server infrastructure Vanilla ran on years ago. They have to reverse-engineer the whole thing and then make it compatible with 2018 server tech.

Classic wasn't very good when you look abck on it without nostalgia goggles. What made it good was the community, back when there was only Thottbot and not places like wowhead or mmo-champion. Having to coordinate 40-man raids meant they were less accessible and caused drama but it also forged community. Machinima-makers latched on to it as well.

Nothing can be done to replicate that. Private servers somewhat managed but that's precisely because they were private.

I wonder if they'll do class balancing so some classes and specs aren't outright worthless.

Everybody will hate it no matter how good it is.

Some people on YouTube will make videos pointing out a few minor flaws or differences and then everybody will jump on the hate train. It is inevitable.

idk mane. i never played before this week vanilla and i feel that many parts of it are a trillion times better than modern state wow. For example how there is no group finder, how leveling was challenging, you have to read/understand the quests, etc. it just feels much more like an mmorpg

They're gonna streamline shit. A big thing I can think of is making instances easier to get to. Shit like making Deadmines easier to reach for the Horde, or SM easier for Alliance is a given, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did shit like giving allies a safe teleport into Ragefire Chasm. And there will be more stuff. Quest objectives marked on the map (now you'll have no trouble finding Mankrik's wife!), attunements will be cut out, raids will have different difficulties. I expect nothing less than for them to take the world of Classic; the quests, the dungeons, the NPCs; and then coat all of that with a modern-WoW finish. They will complete miss the point of what people want out of Classic WoW. Then when everybody complains, they can just shrug their shoulders and go "well, we warned you. You think you do, but you don't".

The pandaren actively set out to teach the other races their ways. They're already present in the Nighthold and Thunder Totem on the PTR.

I have 14 days left on my RaF account. My plan is as follows:

Next 14 days I will level as many characters (on my main account) to 90 as possible. I'm hoping I can do 4 on my account. Then, I assume 2-3 weeks from now 7.3.5 will drop, and I will slowly quest level (no heirlooms) a human male Paladin to 110.

Then, I will activate RaF for a second month and level another 5-6 characters to 90 throughout that month.Then finally, I will quest level (no heirlooms) a male Orc Warrior to 110. All on the same realm. My final goal before BfA ends is to have 18 level 120s maxed out and ready to go, so I can switch mains at will according to balance or just whatever I find fun at the time.

The ease at which mobs are killed nowadays makes the quest design inherently worse

if you can get a friend to make a level 1 on earthen ring server and invite you like 15 minutes before the event happens you can win it easy, did that last time on my account got the ring within 10 minutes of the event starting. since the change to cross realm it makes this kind of stuff much easier, since it bases the zone on who invited who to it no matter the level.
