Invisible revolver would be too OP. Probably a good move to nerf it.

The ones that portray them to be heavy and inaccurate as fuck with a shit tier ammunition capacity.

To be fair, they usually do have shit tier ammo capacity in real life, and they are usually heavy compared to a glock or m&p. But a heavy guy is a good thing for aiming and controlling recoil. Unless you have like some small cartridge like a .22 revolve that has 12 rounds, more large caliber pistol revolver is going to hold 5 or 6.

I don't know of really any game that protrays revolvers as inaccurate.

He means the OP. It used to be a nice simple weapon, better accuracy and headshot bonus, with a much, much slower rate of fire. Now it's just trash, like any other non-stock TF2 weapon that wasn't featured in a recent update.

The Resident Evil series.
The Broken Butterfly from RE4 and the S&W 500 from RE5 are so satisfying to use.

Hell, even the 1911 is a pretty hefty gun, don't think I've ever played a game that didn't make it seem small/underpowered etc.

I never cared to use them much in those RE games. The ammo is too scarce and enemies squirm around way too fucking much to even line up a shot half the time.

I'd like to nominate Mafia 1, where every single revolver is a giant useless piece of shit.

I never found one. Made killing those giant demons a real pain in the ass.

That's part of what makes it so satisfying. One hit, one kill, and it takes accuracy to pull it off.
