dragon age inquisition is weird because it's still pretending to be dragon age on some level when clearly it would make more sense to just abandon all of the tactical RPG roots and just make it a third person action adventure game or something.

The combat is just mind numbingly boring in that game there's no challenge, you just push buttons and wait. I would have honestly preferred it if it was a character action game or something with a party system because I was ok with the story and the environments and such were pretty good too.

Why is 71 considered average?

It's only making money because it is full of loot crates and other microtransactions and they're barely pumping any money into the game. It's been out for six years and it has less expansion content than WoW did at the end of Burning Crusade.

It's a strange feeling to describe, experiencing Mass Effect take such a sharp nosedive into nothing. Remember when this game was announced? Holy shit, we get more Mass Effect. Current gen, exploring, crafting, living in the eezo universe again. This is the modern Icarus. Anyway, I'll post a couple redeeming .webm's from my first and last playthrough to cheer me (and perhaps others) up.

Funny enough, game play and combat is where the game really excelled. The dialogue is all it took to make this game comical. One of those "mile wide, inch deep" games. Very pretty though

Yeah, playing the game turned out pretty fine. It's as if they focused so much on making combat fun and workable that they forgot to shape talking and story into something fulfilling. Still dream of a game that's pretty and combative like MEA, engrossing as ME1&2.

2 was a very big step in the right direction, with the flavor and purity of the series turning very diluted with 3. I think there was an almost rhythmic expectation that 3 would suck. But with Andromeda happening, a lot of us hoped that the creators learned from their mistakes. It's a shame they did not.

Not really. Hanar and Elcor are still there, only you pretty much only saw them at the Citadel in ME1, and the Citadel got more and more dumbed down as the games went on. That's the real crime.
