Because they were never good. Halo killed the fps genre by adding bullshit like regenerating health, only being able to carry 2 weapons, duck and cover nonsense, and linear levels.

I used to play Gears 4 every night. It's very much alive, just infested with t bagging Mexicans.

Custom games are still fun. Try playing the game on PC sometime if you don't own an Xbone.
