Sands of Time will be 15 years old this year. 2019 will mark the 30th anniversary of the franchise.
Do you think we'll see anything PoP-related over the course of the next two years?

No. Ubisoft dropped PoP for good because of Asscreed.
SoT is still the best game in the series
and it layed the foundation for platforming
>Tomb Raider
>Uncharted
>AssCreed
all took their platforming straight from SoT
wall running was the sickest shit when i was 15 playing this
Two years? No. It's also harder to make a Prince of Persia game in this day of buttblasted SJWs. Just go back to PoP and you see its fairy tale setting of monsters and beautiful princessses are not like to be repeated in current year.
Don't pretend to know anything about gaming you cuck. SoT stole the platforming system from Ico
Never completed it, but really enjoyed it.
These games sucked dick.
>have to press an additional button to wallrun
Stopped playing right there. The original was good.
>that combat
fuck everyone, this game had dope combat
>knock the opponent and pin them
>spend sand meter and split them
that was such a great method to fight hordes of these fucks without having to resort to just mashing or the stupid batman "counter" combat
>tfw didn't like anything about SoT
>ico
>ledge grabing and chain climbing
>cuck
oh nvm, i thought you were serious
>we'll never get a PoP game ever again
youtube.com
>games will never go back to being this unapologetically edgy
I liked it desu
It used to be standard to have to press buttons to play games, e.g. pressing a button at the right time to grab a ledge
Kids these days...
same here, i got stuck at the elevator fight near the end
that stupid bitch just kept dying on me
Platforming moments were pretty sick, especially when they were timed. I usually hate timed shit, but here it felt natural and awesome
It literally takes like 10-30 minutes at most to get used to how the walljumping/wallrunning works. Are you literally braindead if that's too hard for you?
Admit the last one wasn't THAT bad
great game
>enjoyed the lore
>even liked the new aesthetics
but man the new button pattern and 2 weapon system was annoying af
you had all these moves, but you might as well stick to the same moves that kill the enemies more efficiently.
And the bosses were bullshit, and the open world castle was a drag to travel through.
Too bad the third game had that shit intro the ruined the story. And the series at the point was copying splinter cell and burnout, for new gameplay mechanics.
Just give me a sequel to PoP 2008.
It was actually pretty enjoyable and decent. Can't compare to the Sands trilogy of course, but I liked both that and 2008 one. Both still look good too.
Ubisoft can be really good if they're not making open world games...
It was okay but Sands of Time is in a whole other league
>implying any underage fag in this board has the patience to even complete the first PS1 Tomb Raider
first of all you have a super time slow attack move which freezes time and allows you to instantkill everyone for like 20 seconds.
Second you can kill enemies pretty quickly by either wallbouncing them or jumping over them
third try to lure them away from farah
The only PoP game I've played was that one where the main character wore those blue and red rags on his head. I enjoyed it, still had issues with it don't get me wrong, and wish we got a sequel to it that improved it.
But it seems I was in the minority since people bitched and blue the issues out of proportion so they went right back to another game set in the SoT universe.
And while I haven't played any of the SoT games I do remember back when the first one came out and everyone being hype for it. That and people making fun of Blinx because of it.
>dat fuckin soundtrack
this
if you "jump, dagger" from a wall, you do a drill attack that knocks even the biggest fucks into the ground
The prince taking to himself and complaining about the girl while climbing around the palace was truly revolutionary. It stuck with me all these years
That's something Uncharted definitely copied.
>can't die
>muh donkey
>shit plot
>collecting orbs
>ends in a cliffhanger
good riddance
No. The hammer dudes block that.
One half of the roster is vulnerable to the wallbounce. The other half to the leap over move.
Prince of Persia platforming was actually platforming that required somewhat precise button inputs. Fucking Uncharted just turned this into an almost automated bastardization of classic platforming. Fuck Naughty Dog.
and it was fuckin hilarious, i played recently, and i lost my shit at how he was going to tame her and make her his bride.
Fuck me, what a great game.
Uncharted and Dead Space 2 both do that shit, but its just shitty "oh what am i going to do now?" and other shitty quips
Exactly the kind of stuff I would want to see improved in a sequel.

This.
If you would have your wish... then give me mine.
Kakolukiyam
just the hammer fucks
everyone eats that shit,
and when you get the black sword, you just steamroll faggots
I enjoyed the visuals and platforming was decent. Combat was pretty trash though
I love how his personality atleast has some of that culture in it aswell.
If made today, the Prince would be just another politically correct Marvel quipster.
>no spin-off where we can play as her
damn shame
>watching How It's Made
>"Here are how video games are made"
>they never name the game or the company making it but it's Sands of Time
That was weird to see the other day.
I have been waiting 10 years.
Fuck you Ubi.
The visual direction was fantastic, it and the 'press X to banter' button were the best things about the game.
And Ahriman.
>I'll just ask the first Sand Creature I run into, "Could you direct me to the baths, please?" Well, thank you. "Don't mention it, I used to be a bath attendant back when I was alive... "
>[Pretending to be Farah] Oh, have you been waiting here all this time? I didn't realize you meant these baths! I went to the other baths clear across the other side of the city. I had a lovely wash and a rub with fragrant oils. Too bad you weren't there... Stop talking to yourself!
Carpets THIS thick
I don't know how shooped this picture is but if it isn't that chick is a straight 10
I unironically enjoyed the Disney movie that came out like in 2010 with Gyllenhaal
>angry lesbian sandpit fight with kahleena
i liked it too
Id say the actress they based kaileena on wearing that outfit would be 10/10
its a cool flick, probably one the only non-shit video game movies out there
its generic, but still a fun film
I thought I saw PoP trilogy coming out on XBONE. Might have been DMC.
>the entirety of Warrior within is about how you cannot change fate (even though the prince did that and has to be killed by the tentacle monster to set it straight)
>in the end he manages to do it invalidating the claim your fate is set and using sands to fix shit is impossible
>the two thrones has as message that the prince shouldnt try to make the world perfect by using the sands constantly when he finds his father
Both were good scenes but its so stupid they have different messages
Warrior Within is best Pop game
>the prince helped her because of "duty" and not because he wanted to fuck a hot as fuck empress silly
>that ending cinematic on the boat
...
>TTT farah
Young Prince is perfectly written, I love it
I completed it 7 times. In a row.
>In a row.
Maybe he had nothing else to play, come on man
I did the same thing too, as a kid. It was just that fun.
The Chad of Persia
The one thing that make me question Ubisoft most is why did they dropped combat that they made in WW in favor of automated shit like AC
> inb4 casuals, wider audience
It was really easy to use it system good enough
Ninja Gaiden's wallrun is how it should be done.
To be fair, the game had really nice mechanics and combat so you could just fuck around and it was REALLY fun to play
because AC is more grounded and some attacks are pretty over the top
And jumping from a really high tower onto some haystack isn't over the top?
>the chad prince versus the virgin assassin
Still, they could at least leave manipulating the enemy by grab, kick , weapon steal etc
tummy
>when you flip over an assassin girl and you start strangling her before stabbing her with her own blade
>if we ever did get a new PoP game it'd most likely be a Sands of Time remake instead of something new
>new game by modern ubishit
At this point I'm not exactly sure if do want new game or just hd remaster
I was a kid and the game's wallrunning and climbing mechanics blew my mind. I just couldn't get enough. I really wish I could go back in time and enjoy something this much again.
It's also the most aesthetic PoP game.
>replay WW
>constantly get eaten by the dakaharah
>I used to be able to outrun him so bad the filter would go away
Does having a faster machine make him faster or am I that bad
Didn't they already do an HD collection of the SoT games? Though I think they based it on the US releases instead of the PAL releases which fixed a bunch of game breaking bugs, as in you'd have to start a new game if you got one of the bugs.
You're probably shit. I remember WW and Two Thrones being quite challenging for a AAA title.
I can imagine an AssCreed-style PoP game. Worked out for Tomb Raider. Just without Dagger of Time, with forgiveness of modern vidya you don't really need a rewind. Can be a key to puzzles or something like limited time travel we've seen in tittyfall 2.
Better yet, they should make Princess of Persia
>you're stronk arab womyn (of privilege, but we'll convinietly forget about that) who need no man
>but your father wants you to marry a fat and ugly sultan
>lucky for you, an evil vizier fucked with sands of time and now all broke loose
Practically writes itself, it's a reboot ready to happen.
Doubt they will ever revisit original game, but if they will, they will slap a "Datk Souls of platformers" on it without a second thought.
fuck that I want a WW remake
mechanical or garden tower first.
Yeah. I remember being so blown away by the ending the first time I finished it I replayed it straight away so I could compare it to the start of the game. After that I'd learned the wallrunning, climbing and combat enough that it was super enjoyable to just play through the game again and solve all the puzzles.
I enjoy the aesthetic of SoT and 2008 about equally, they're both fantastic.
>I really wish I could go back in time and enjoy something this much again.
Yeah... maybe it's time for another playthrough, I haven't touched these games in years.
>those endgame stealth kills in Two Thrones where you had .2 of a second to execute
I did check what you say and they only released it on ps3
That's probably the best you'll get then.
I played the game on the wii and you needed to use waggle controls for the strikes. It was fucking impossible. Did the final boss like 20 times before I got it. Then i replayed it on the PC and cleared all the stealthkills with no sweat.
>tfw Islam ruined fairy tale Persia
If you tried anticipating the hit by looking at the Prince's movement it wasn't too bad
Still quite challenging today though
SoT>2008>TT>FS>WW
...
No
SoT~WW>2008>T2T>FS
I just remember playing as a kid on the Xbox they were impossible, approaching every one was tense as fuck which was great. I wonder what I'd be like now.
SoT>WW>TT>2008>FS
>hurrr can't die
So what?
You still get taken back to the beginning of the obstacle course/your opponent regains health when in combat.
The only difference is lack of YOU DIED screen
the only thing they fucked up in that game is the batman style combat system
pretty good scenery, enjoyable, but a bit repetitive parkour, it's improved by Elika, though
I wouldn't mind seeing another game from the same base concepts
>elika her clothes get all ripped up
>she doesnt just rip them off entirely in the end
Two thrones was by far the worst
