Switch?

Is it a bad idea to get a switch right now?
Should I wait?
Are there enough games aside from Mario and Zelda that have a nice, varied world to explore, and good characters/story?
What about any hidden gems?

It's looking decent but it hasn't even been out for a year yet so there's bound to be a price drop sooner rather than later. Also I'm still cautious on account of how the Wii U turned out.

I'm currently in the same boat. Tempted to buy it, but not sure if there's a satisfying game library. I see a lot of smaller games, but nothing big.

If they are to make a Mario Maker, it would tip the scale and I'd end up buying one.

wait for a little
althought spla2n is fun if you haven't tried the first

I was on the fence, still am. Bought a neon one at my local supermarket the other day, because fuck it why not. I love Odyssey, Zelda is a bland disappointment. I bought it for work/travel/comfy gaming. It does okay, nothing special. Need to pickup kart and splat still, find myself playing sonic/Mario most often with some doom/resident evil. Overall it's okay. If you have the money why not.

why not is because, if I'm not going to be entertained enough by the switch, I'd rather spend my money on more steam/pc games.
Guess I'll wait on the switch for now. I already emulated botw anyway.

>nintendo products getting a price drop when they actually sell
The 3DS XL is still $200.

There isn't a single worthwhile PC game that costs more than $20.

new 3ds xl for 100$ retard

stardrew valley, dom, skyrim -> all of that for 15$

If you buy a used one that was already beat to shit and updated to the most recent firmware.

Yeah, a hardware revision is coming out next November

Best to wait until then

The fuck?

>any of those
>worthwhile
Your reddit is showing.

try brand new you newfag

The Switch is a Nintendo console before anything else.
If you want to play Nintendo exclusives, then get it.
If you don't, then don't.

Maybe, maybe not, but I know there are tons of games under $20 that are worthwhile. I typically find myself enjoying more indie type stuff nowadays rather than AAA games over 20 dollars.
The cheaper indie stuff is more in tune with what I grew up with. Simpler, 2D games with tight controls are nice to me.

>If you want to play Nintendo exclusives, then get
a pc.

Prove it.

If you look at the switch and don't think it could keep you entertained, then you should not buy it. I was more worried dropping 300, then having them release 2.0 or price drop it

Nintendo still sells original Wii games for $50 and $60 USD. They don't believe in price drops.

I'd wait until the next direct. Should give you a better idea as to what to expect this year.

Unsure? Wait for january direct.

Still unsure? Wait for E3

Still unsure? Wait for autumn announces

Still unsure? Don't buy it

>Don't buy it
I like this idea. Thanks.

Or, you know, don't steal stuff. You're supposed to own the games you emulate.

but he does own it.
It's in digital form on his hard drive, which he will be able to store and carry over to new PCs for generations to come, where as your switch version will eventually wear out and stop working.
Not to mention the graphics can be improved through emulation.
Which one is superior?

This is why pc has no games

>pc has no games
