Is it me, or is Frasier almost perfectly suited for a comfy vidya?

You can't give me a reason why you'd do anything other than insult Roz

The show really goes downhill when they start bringing in Daphne's family.

If you pick the Niles class you get a 'Psychics are Real' synergy bonus with Roz.

>Frasier
How did a spinoff series from Cheers end up being such a good show?

You implying Cheers wasn't good to begin with?

Cheers was a great show as well. Both of them were tightly written with humor executed well by the cast with some notable exceptions ()

Cheers was brilliant as well, CUNT.

It started to lose its steam what with Martin getting married to the chick from Just Shoot Me but ended soon after and ended well

It's good but I like Frasier more.

I thought I was the only person that loved Cheers and Frasier. Too many braindead cunts around me that scoff at both and then praise big faggot theory.

fraiser is ageless, its better than sienfield could ever hope to be

Why does Sup Forums love this show so much?

I mean I do to but it's such an odd thing.

Sup Forums is a man of culture

This was always on when I was a kid but I never watched it. Is it actually funny or is everyone pretending?

>It took 3 Cranes to lift you

The best line in any sitcom ever

I've never actually seen Cheers, is it worth a watch?

There are a huge list of reasons. But basically, Lilith and Frasier were already the best characters in Cheers, both in acting and development. The show also did its own thing besides just copying Cheers.

Another thing a lot of people don't realize is that the most appealing aspect of Frasier as a show was everything besides Frasier. Don't get me wrong, Kelsey Grammar was an amazing actor and great in his own right. But it was the ensemble cast that surrounded him that made the show work.

Sup Forums's contrarianism
>too young to have been into Frasier when it came out
>discover Frasier on Netflix, remember it from childhood
>need a better show to praise while mocking modern sitcoms like Bazinga Theory and How I Met Your Meme

Because it's awesome?

Yes. Try to ignore Diane.

But what if I like Frasier and HIMYM

Good characters playing off or riffing on each other and hijinks. Same with Seinfeld but to a lesser extent. I like Raymond too.

Other shows just got stale or they tried to shake things up too much and failed.

But Frasier, Seinfeld or Everybody Loves Raymond I can watch and laugh at today
>youtube.com/watch?v=6mWiPaQ872c

>criticizes Sup Forums's contrarianism while revealing his own
SMASHING THROUGH THE BOUNDARIES LUNACY HAS FOUND ME CANNOT STOP THE POTTERY

Another thing most people don't realize about Frasier is its actually a huge satire on elitist, rich liberals stuck in a bubble. Yet for over 10 years, it kept winning all those emmy's from the very people it was mocking. And the whole Seebee awards was mocking this.

>I thought I was the only person that loved Cheers and Frasier
Nigga how? Do you like just not talk to people
Even Sup Forums fucking loves Frasier

Frasier sucks.

I'm 33 years old and watched Frasier before netflix had it. It's just a good show, like The West Wing or Family Matters.

I never got the humor of this show. Is it just suppose to be the 'lol random' humor? Because if that's true, it's not that revolutionary. But people back then and now act like it was.

>Frasier on Netflix
What the fuck, when was this?

What is the best episode of Frasier and why is it Chess pains?

It’s just a generational thing. Similarly people a bit younger find Friends to be some kind of godsend, and people my age thing How I Met Your Mother is the greatest thing in history, younger than me are people into like New Girl, and there’s bound to be something new coming for the next group down.

Frasier was made during an era where sitcoms were very competitive, so you actually had to be funny for your show to succeed. Cheers/Frasier, Sienfeld, Friends, etc... were all fighting each other during this time.
These days Big Bazinga Theory is dominating everything so no one actually tries. The only good comedies have been ones that don't follow the traditional format like Always Sunny and Parks and Rec.

My Coffee With Niles is a classic and really memorable for me anyway for whatever reason

Kramer and George carried the entire show really. Oh, and Jerry Stiller.

Insult Roz, she bants back, end scene.

The Office was the best show during the 2000s.

Frasier and Seinfeld are both good, fuck you.

Overall They're both better than Friends, and all 3 are better than whatever crap is on now.

>tfw too intelligent for sitcoms

>tfw had a ideal for a fraiser rpg
>classes are jungian or freudian
>programming skills are too shit to fully commit

>Always Sunny and Parks and Rec.
>good

The Office was good I still prefer Parks and Rec

>too
It's spelt to you brainlet.

Nice try matey, but I used Hulu.

30 rock was funny.

Better than big bang or whatever other shit there is right now.

I grew up in that generation. But I was always the odd ball who didn't care about rap and was watching stuff like The Nanny/Frasier as a teen in high school.

The episode where Frasier goes off to find himself and all his ex wives/mother become personifications of his psyche. One of the best written episodes in TV history.

>Friends
>funny

Good joke friend

>Always Sunny
>bad

Over never watched Parka and Rec so I don't know if it's good but Always Sunny is great. In my opinion

did you guys know everyone except frasier is gay?

even the dog

>All the Maris jokes
My favorite will always be the coatrack one, holy shit.
>mfw The Platinum Door
30 years old nigger, try again.

that soundtrack is great and I need you to make the fucking game, user

>camera keeps jerking and zooming so much I feel like they're filming on a ship
>they're moving the camera like that on purpose

true but that's not saying much
More Like "It's Never Funny"

The best Maris joke was the one Niles made

Friends had genuinely funny moments sprinkled into characters whining about their current predicament

>The Nanny/Frasier as a teen in high school.
Me too my dude. I would discuss television and everybody would be confused because I’m talking Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, the Nanny, Full House, Roseanne, etc. meanwhile they’re on Lost and Breaking Bad.

>too young
Damn this place

If you're looking back fondly on sitcoms from the 90's you've gotta be pushing 30 at this point
oh god why are we still here

That actually made me laugh well done user.

Was there a better character than Martin?

did frasier bleed into anyone elses life?

i don't take any professionals seriously anymore

Haha motherfucker not 30 yet!

oh god it's in two years

thank you for that
damn

i'll try to make something just for you user

Niles and Martin were toppest tier at their best.
Frasier just BARELY cutting underneath.
Roz works better when she's butting heads with Bulldog, but often is just being a bitch by herself
Daphne, well
If you wanted to fug her, chances are you liked her
If you didn't, the accent and awkward humor might push you away from her

>Full House
You were doing so well until that one.

Ok, but did anyone else like 3rd Rock from the Sun or was it just me?

>that time they got mike judge to do van drefus from beavis and butthead

K I N O

for some reason i thought hothead was a girl on that show

I remember watching it but don't remove much other than Dick wanting to fuck a teacher that used to be a slut.

AND I JUST HAVE TO SIT HERE AND TWIDDLE MYYYAIAIAIAIAINCOMING MESSAGE FROM THE BIG GIANT HEAD

I loved 3rd Rock From The Sun.

I've been meaning to rewatch it but shit always distracts me.

...

A Tsar is born is my favorite because the opening with ARS.

Remember: When you'e thinking of giant heads, think of The Big Giant Head.

>Daphne
I wanted to fug her, I really liked her

>lunch table full of friends talking about exciting tv shows that they're been watching
>user is on the end of the table trying to torpedo the fun by talking about Full fucking House and The Nanny

veneer

In my defense it’s because I had a giant thing for Stephanie, she was my first tv crush. Still do too, I watch Fuller House exclusively for her massive tits.

At least it's not Blossom

Could be worse, he could try to talk about Coach

I hear ya. I have a thing for Myra from Family Matters and Bernadette from BBT for the same reason. But I can still say I watched Family Matters for more than just that girl. BBT....no real excuse though.

Too soon.

Too soon, man.

CTN is still alive

Shiiiiit, Myra could get it. RIP

>literally hit the news 1-3 hours ago from what I pulled up
hahahaha holy shit
WHOOPS

MASTER JIM!

Turning 27 in 2 weeks. Fuck

Oh, fuck. I'm 3 years away. Help me.

Niles

Frasier: "Niles!"
Niles: "Daphne!"
Daphne: "Mr. Crane!"
Martin: "Oh geez..."

Bulldog: Rur!

The problem I had with Daphne, as a bong, is that she uses so many Americanisms or American pronunciations/versions of words. Takes you right out of it

Exactly how many STDS did roz have?

Well she was living in America for a while. It's not unlike those anglofiles who move to Britain and try to lay it on thick with British mannerisms when they first arrive. That being said, I always wondered if she was an American actress just using a fake dialect.

>5 years away

You know it baby

Who remembers Suddenly Susan?

Just one named Alice.
