I just came to the conclusion that there must've been something within the hardware that prevented jrpgs of the 3rd generation from having more characterization,development and general plot depth in their stories.
Like maybe it would take away from memory being allocated to handle gameplay system calculations and such.

Nah. The protag of SMT1 has fateful visions as he ends up the Messiah, and the protag of SMT2 is a tube-born baby intended to be a new Messiah for the Law faction. While SMT3 and 4/Final's protags make big waves, ultimately they start off as normal and basically stumble into their fates.

seeing the first one is necessary unfortunately, because it ties in to it.
with that being said, people overthink it too much the same way they overthink philosophy; i.e nietzsche

the point the movie is trying to make is that K (the main dude, the replicant) is in no way special. he has no special purpose, just like most people in the world have no special purpose other than to be born, contribute (or not) to their respective society and die.
however, lack of any special birthright or destiny or other shit like that doesn't mean you can't try to make your own future and make yourself special through your actions.
the story of K is just that, a dude wanting so hard to be special, to be someone and mean something, but then realizing he's actually jack shit, a regular average joe. BUT, through his actions, he can become special either for himself or for someone else (for deckard and his daughter). I know most people see it for the MUH REPLICANT REBELLION, but it's not that.
it's simple, it's K making a decission to do something, to recognize the banality of his existence and overcome it. same as in nihilism, there is no point other than the one you make for yourself.
decide what your purpose and your life is and act upon it.
the rest is just nice visuals and atmosphere and cool cyberpunk shit

Harrison fugged a replicant in the first movie, they had a child, which is supposed to be impossible

Being impossible, the child was hidden away because of the huge political and social ramifications it could have if it was learned that robots could create life just like humans

The big guy in the beginning was just someone that helped deliver the child and was also a replicant

The lady in the dome who creates the memories for the replicants was actually the child, which is why she cried when she saw them implanted in K, because they were actually her own memories

This alone was a super interesting way to move with the replicants.
Because now they're not going to be defined as mechanical androids, they're more like artificial lifeforms.
And if they can merge with humans then that's completely destroying the line between replicants and people.
In addition it's gonna open up a pandora's box of unknown consequences.

However this is only true if Deckard himself is human and not a replicant.
If he's a replicant then they can easily make the argument now that "oh look, now our machines can replicate more machines"
