Same. I have no idea how everyone makes them. No one ever talks in the games I play.

>literally 0 friends in FFXIV

How could I ever reach gear 340

trying to make friends is...difficult

Never played a second of FFXIV, but if what I've heard about that game is true, all you have to do is offer to ERP.

Have you ever considered making the first move?

ERP. is that you kids call today Cybersex?

>tfw 250 friends on steam
>realize half of them were following me to servers and harassing me
and then there were none

>Play Guild Wars 2 for almost a year
>Never made any friends
I think I've forgotten what it's like to have friends

play another game?

Pretty much. "You wanna cyber?" has become "ERP?"

Enterprise Resource Planning
It's what medium sized up corporations use to automate most tasks

I'll be your friend if you're cute.

>TFW, all you steam friends are people you knew in high school but haven't talked too in years.

I actually like the gameplay of the tanking classes, but i don't run dungeons often and don't talk to people and I can't find any other "offline" rpg game that has classes like Paladin and warrior

You can swing by and see if you click with us. It's a small group as we weed out the no shows but we have a good dedicated group of peeps that play games.
We fuck around with arma 3, kf2, mowass 2, and several flavors of the week for weeks. Anything we can get our hands on or group leader just buys us all vidya so we can play together as long as youre not an ass.
Anyone is welcome. Even if you dont play games much and just like to sit around for bants and chat, check it out.
No bitches allowed.

ill be your friend buddy, add me on steam my nama caelus

anyone wanna play some cs

steamcommunity.com/id/cavenyan

i have a lot of friends but always looking for more why not

Pretty sure this is a stealth "find traps who play video games" thread

you can literally add random fucks and invite them to games
if that's too scary, go online in the game you like, play one match, and then add whoever you played with
people don't give a fuck

Could someone recommend me a good MP game to meet people in? I've been bored and lonely lately.

>Sup Forums groups
aw hell no nigger

I've been itching to try elsword again
Recommend me some free games to try out
steamcommunity.com/id/Vaia2/

Fighting games.

Any games where its teams or pve

FFXIV

What games you play on?

> PUBG
> Streamer bait meme game
> VR chat
> Friend collector
> Sup Forums groups
Could you be any more underage?

Anyone else only ever have one friend at a time? I cling to one person until they get sick of me. And because they're always reasonably normal, they always have plenty of other options, so losing one loser friend doesn't bother them.
Somehow I always find somebody else to latch onto.

>What games you play on?
I play a lot of singleplayer games (which admittedly aren't the best to make e-friends in). MP wise, I play Overwatch, Battlerite, and TF2, but I'd love to find better games to play than those few. I don't really have the time for an MMO, though.
I'll start looking into which ones I might like.

I wish someone would cling to me, I've felt so unwanted for so long now.

To be fair I completely forgot about my FFXIV subscription and i need to cancel it bc i'm not playing it atm. Mostly focusing on Guilty Gear, Blazblue, Overwatch, and FFVI.

Funny you say you're looking into fighting games. I'm all about them.

You'll probably get creeped out by it. Especially if it's an online friendship. Eventually you realize "holy crap, this stranger I barely even think about actually cares about me and thinks I care about him".

Imagine having to live in North Dakota.

Do you just talk about stuff?

Add me!~ steamcommunity.com/id/shirowildwolf

Same here
>tfw you haven't made a friend in years and ended up forgetting how to talk to people

I have no and want no friends on steam

Someone tell me the attraction here?

Isn't it more fun to voice chat and play with randoms? One of the only reasons I still play PUBG is squaddie with nice Germans/French/Scandies

Usually we don't like the same games. So yeah.

finding this kind of profile is worse than actually being the profile.

Maybe, I dunno, its been so long I just want to feel like someone cares about me.

tfw have tons of friends and I'm too depressed to really talk to any of them

Yeah, fighting games seem fun as shit, but I'm pretty daunted by the level of skill necessary to get into them. I might just have to bite the bullet though; they look too fun to pass up.

I met my best friend on Sup Forums
We've been friends for like seven years now. We've been through a lot together, including the loss of his grandma, his father, his slow spiral into despair and depression until his eventual drop out of uni and current unemployment.
I've also spiraled down in life over the years including dropping out of uni a couple times and getting stuck in a dead end job and drinking myself stupid every weekend just to cope with life.
I actually like this guy and will be pretty sad when whoever of us kills himself first.

Ah but that's the fun part, my friend. Improving and overcoming the difficulty.

I've been playing seriously since around 2012 with skullgirls. My gameplay and skills have done nothing but increase and I've gotten so much fucking better.
When I look at how far I've come and realize how fucking hard fighting games are. I pat myself on the back and continue playing bc they're just too fun once you understand more about them.

I'm really passionate about them so i could go on and on lmaoo

>people who take online friends seriously
>people who online date

I meant to say I started out with skullgirls.

Currently on Guilty Gear XRD and Blazblue CF

I just started playing Warframe and someone added me as their friend just last night.

You wanna be my friend?

i have like 30 from old tf2 raffles.
i don't talk to any of them.

>2018
>Actually still wanting degenerate losers as your so called "friends"

That's actually really good on you. You're better off not associating with third worlders and sub-humans that inhabit the Steam Community

steamcommunity.com/id/cockwork
add me up losers

>Friends keeps inviting me to games I‘ve already moved on

I'd like to know why my girlfriend is your profile pic.

Is this what happens to people on Sup Forums?

inb4 the "add me up losers" guy

>last played game on May 2017

Yeah, I'll pass. Why is everyone in these threads a cunt?

Try ERPing user

add me up loser

>use server browser
>find a server of similar people
>become a regular
>make friends
matchmaking was a mistake

FUCK

>responds within seconds
Ah, I get it. You're a dope chaser and thrive off attention.

add me up losers

>using Steam in the first place

I gotta say I was sceptical but the social experiences I had on Miiverse, Xbox Live and Playstation Network were pretty bad but at least a couple of external people added me or wanted to talk and a crazy amount of young shits added me because they saw me as a brotherly/coach figure because I gave a couple of friendly advices. Feeling was pretty pleasant, and I enjoyed, coaching them, playing against theme and helping theme getting stronger.

On Steam all I saw was raging autists and literal retards bringing you to drama you don't belong to. Also, I don't know why but since like 4 or so years there are alot of gay shits with anime profiles.

Basically going online with an active profile sucks.

Not my scene, hell even being in this thread for this long is starting to feel like a mistake.

steamcommunity.com/id/Zabonam

Add me.

>tfw you have a steam friendship that clicks so well you become total bros that even through college and then work we still keep tabs with each other, and play over the weekend, even debate important shit sometimes
>haven't even bothered trying to "meetup" or anything like that.
Sometimes all you really need is one.

Welp, you've sold me. I guess I gotta just git gud. Can a newb learn to play on a keyboard, or is shelling out for a fightstick necessary from the beginning?

whatever happened to that emagon game?

this post reminds me of myself, i started with SF4 in 2009, i felt the same kind of passion. Self discovery and overcoming personal challenge, fighting games helped shape my life.

>met my husband from someone i met in steam friends threads

Must be nice. I have one of those annoying most likely underage users who ask me about simple tech stuff that he could Google himself every time he catches me online.

I hate him, but I'd feel bad if I suddenly removed him. I'll just keep the idea in the back of my mind the next time I'm piss drunk at 2 in the am and don't while my feelings are numb.

Why is it always some faggot with anime or furry avatar? Can't you guys just neck yourself and end this pathetic life?

>Why is it always some faggot with anime or furry avatar
I think you know the answer to that, user.

Are you me?

It only costs 5 dollars to have friends on steam.
A man's gotta eat

>friends on steam, but too nervous to do anything with them

Same. I have a shitton of Overwatch friends that I added but that I've never talked to. At this point, I feel like it'd be too awkward to say "remember when I added you 10 years ago and never said anything?"

Too scared to die. Unfortunately.

>tfw made a very good friend here during a steam gift thread in 2010 around Christmas
>talked for literally hours
>started playing and being on skype more and more with real life friends
>tfw just ended up ghosting him entirely
>still friends with him on steam
>haven't talked in 5 years
>see that we still have common interest in anime and vidya
>kinda want to pick up contact again but fear it would be too fucking akward after all this time

I don't normally play games with people, but I always like to chat. steamcommunity.com/id/notridley

>add people to play Orcs Must Die 2 with
>we never play
>considering removing them since we don't talk anyway

you can add me as a friend but I will literally never talk to you

You can be a keyboard warrior.

If you wanna go stick, which i kinda suggest since it's mad fun, you totally can.

If you want a stick, anything good is gonna be 100+ bucks just warning you now. The one I currently own is a Qanba Q4RAF. Damn thing is amazing and i love it.

A good starter stick is the Qanba Q1 actually. A little under a hundred dollars and it's reliable. You can always switch out parts too which is one of the cool things about fight sticks. They're customizable just like a pc! Swap out the sticks or buttons when you want!

Dualshock controllers would probably be best for a new player. Tho stuff like dragon punches would be way easier on a joystick

>250+ frens on steam
>0 fren irl

Actually im on speaking terms with some huemonkeys and slavniggers and a few ausfags and they all seem to take me for a normal human bean.

>tfw steam became facebook

In that case, I'll probably start off on keyboard and switch to a stick if I hadn't pussied out by that point. Thanks for all the help!

It's better that way.

Steam friends collectors tend to be MASSIVE faggots with huge amounts of feelz disorders.

Even a regular steam person tends to be more of a payload for faggotry than an actual human being.

same situation, kills me inside something fierce.

>"friend" collectors

I will never understand them. There has been no more than a dozen in my list for the better part of a decade, of which four of them are people I regularly talk to.

If you have more than 3 friends on Steam you're a friend collector.

Q. what would happen if
The twinky femboy stuttering sissy you've been ERPing with is actually a GIRL That has a fetish for guy-guy so she's pretending to be a boy in order to satisfy her fetish and get her vag wet? :P

Friends are too exhausting. also they like playing video games which i simply cannot tolerate

WHY DO YOU PLAY OVERWATCH, BATTLERITE, AND (post-mannconomy) TF2?
STOP.
YOUR TASTE IS WRONG.

DOES ANYONE WANNA PLAY SOME CS

I know that feel.
Feels good man.

I have literally no friends in real life or on steam that I talk to or play games with.

Somehow though I have a girlfriend. I probably would have killed myself a while ago if I didn't have her, and probably will if she leaves me.

I'm all too aware that I have shit taste. I haven't played Overwatch in a good amount of time, if it's any consolation. I also can't seem to find any TF2 servers not entirely populated by 12-year-old bronies.
