I didn't say that I want the same story as the series but, I just can't handle the flying unrealistic mecha battles of the rebuilds.

In the original series and EoE the Evas had weight in it. In the new movies they are just jumping and doing crazy things for the sake of it.

Yes, and even with that it had a sense of scale and weight in it. It kinda moves like a giant robot. I'm not saying that is super realistic or some shit but in the original series the crazy jumps aren't the norm, like the episode 9 with the Eva 01 and 02 dancing.

You just went along with it and it kind of make sense. But in the new movies it's just weaboo generic mecha battles. And don't get me started with 3.33. with all that 2deep4u because of it. The original series had character development with a great payoff in the last two episodes, the ones that everyone hates.

EoE was made specifically due to backlash over the last 2 episodes. That's why EoE is split into 25' and 26' - it's explicitly intended to replace them, telling the same events but with a more "proper" visual conveying

The start of 1.11 shows the siluette of the Eva series that crashed after the Third Impact so, pretty much is confirmed.

I would say it's worth checking out. it's not really a game though, just a series of audio and video files you watch and listen to in order to piece together the story. it's not the same as the anime at all and lain is a lot more fucked up.

Try it. Not long by any means and certainly memetic in how 'high class' the animation was for the time. Also try to get over the fact that it actually has depth, even if its a fucking mess.
I've yet to watch any of it. I don't think they could ascend beyond what D&R and EoE did. I'm more than satisfied with the extremely depressing ending of Eva as it currently stands.

MGS2 simply states that control doesn't need to be direct nor obvious. Which is nothing new if you've ever read fiction from the 19th century onwards. As far as games go you may have a leg to stand on but as for 'art' and creativity it is woefully lacking. Killer7 was more insightful, which is sad when you consider how much deeper the gameplay is of MGS2.

MGS2's gaeplay kinda sucked. It gave you neat idea but the level design really did not take advantage of it.

Compared to K7 it is beyond superior. Killer7 is the better story and better concept but to say it is better as a game would be inaccurate. Anyone who played the extra difficulties knows this. Still, the rebuild series is depending an awful lot on its final chapter.
