>try molotov him with r3 enabled and he dodges the molotov
>dodge
>try the music box and he kills me 0.5s before the music starts
I give up. His beast form is impossible
Try molotov him with r3 enabled and he dodges the molotov
Other urls found in this thread:
run him around some gravestones, these ones are probably the easiest
e-z cheese
Literally git gud.
>music box
Wait what did I miss?
try hitting him
here it is what happens in his beat form: I'm using tricked axe and the dodge is slower but I manage to dodge his beast form attack
however when I send a molotov it either miss or he dodges the molotov and he does that 3 attack instakill on me
One time I managed to dodge his 3 way attack but as soon as I started to play the music he killed me
A sad story.
Don't worry user, as perfect as people say this game is the difficulty does not get any harder aside from the paid DLC.
He gives you an opening if you play as he writhes in agony (because of the story)
Un-trick and try to parry
Unfortunately you're right, OP. His beast form is impossible and noone in the past 3 years have progressed through the first mandatory boss in the game. We've all just been pretending and you've called our bluff.
the problem is my bullets are too slow
Have you tried dodging when he attacks, you fucking scrub?
You're an idiot.
Maintain some distance from him or use it earlier then. It's not that hard.
haha what
DLC is just as easy as the base game though
I don't know what to tell ya mate, I know it's the worst piece of advice but git gud he's not that hard. just use the gravestones he can't destroy and you should have plenty of time for your music box blood vials etc
Gascoigne is one of the easiest boss ever and knowing that so many people have problems with him buffles me, humanity is doomed.
It must be so infuriating to be a brainlet.
Imagine actually finding this game hard.
>old hunters dlc comes
>player character gets a beast form
>expecting it to be something like gas coin or that beggar
>turns out to be a emaciated man with a hairy, deformed arm
Never before has disappointment been felt so keenly.
Fight him on the stairs, he often misses there.
Or cheese 2-3 hits there, then when he gets too close run and drop down, repeat. Finish with molotov.
He's the first real boss, it's understandable people have trouble. You're a fucking tard. Thanks to getting better at the game I found orphan was even easier, beat him first try ever.
I fire right before he attacks but he always finishes the attack because the bullet don't hit him in time for me to perform the visceral attack
Ludwig and the Super Fish Bros are pretty tough.
>Finish with molotov
but I always miss: he either dodge the molotov (in beast form) or the molotov goes in other direction
Throw it when he's attacking
>Having dumb expectations
All you need to do is throw that shaman bone at the fish boys and just parry the one left over. They were piss easy. And Ludwig is only slightly hard on the first phase the first time you fight him, second phase is one of the easiest in the game. Laurence was harder.
git gud
yfw you can get Beastclaws right after Blood-Starved Beast now
why does his clothing get bigger with him when he transforms tho
This boss teaches you how to play the game. Once you beat him you'll have all the skills necessary to complete the game.
Dodge to the left and don't get greedy, also the axe charge attack has insabe range and knocks him back, try to time it when he charges at you.
Inb4 Amygdala
You have to kill fast
Git gud, user. Beat him first time I ran into him not knowing about the music box
One of the easiest bosses in the game?
I feel like the people that have trouble with Gascoigne are the people that played the Souls games first
I went into Bloodborne never having played a Soulslike in my life and beat him in 2-3 tries, max
you do the little girl subquest and you get a msic box, if you play it while fighting him you can stagger him a couple of time, getting 2 free backstabs. useful to finish quickly his second form
If you have the correct weapon, I had tonitrus and the cane and that shit was almost impossible to hit.
And the easiest one are the witches
tricked beast claws is the best weapon tho
I feel like the people that have trouble with Gascoigne don't pay attention to their surroundings and dodge into gravestones at the most unfortunate moments.
if I raise my skill stat will it make axe attack faster and make it easier to dodge?
When it's transformed the beast(Father Gascoine) attack me 3 times while I'm on the ground
No, increasing skill only adds extra damage to weapons that scale with it. The axe is a strength weapon so you need to level that to do more damage with it.
alright thanks
>sony soyboys and their edgy atheist wolf game
Play something with good gameplay and original designs for once. You'll have to play something other than your ps4 for that though.
>try molotov him with r3 enabled
???
Why are you baiting for such an old game?
>PCbro crying sour grapes over a game more interesting in both aesthetics and substance than any PC game released in the past decade
Why am I not surprised?
He's implying that he fights him unlocked, which should be a dead ringer for just how retarded this OP is
Amygdala is such a cheap boss. You think you have to fight it like any other giant boss in the franchise, by hiding between the legs and slashing at the ankles. But it's specifically designed to counter this and you actually have to fight it like small enemies, keeping your distance and attacking between patterns, which makes the fight completely trivial.
fuck you user
if you don't have any comments other than git good just shut up
fucking 16 year old kids
Why would you fight a small, super-aggressive enemy without staying locked on you fucking tard? Playing BB for more than 5 minutes should've taught you that the lock-off meme from DaS doesn't work nearly as well
>all these wrong answers
Stand midrange from him and wait for his "charge and flail about" attack. Shoot at any point of his charge and it will parry him. Riposte and throw a molotov on wakeup for extra damage, then repeat
>super-aggressive enemy without staying locked on you fucking tard
but I'm locked (R3 enabled = locked)
always dodge TOWARDS him to the side
that's literally it, you win
>dodge towards him literally always
>don't do damage since busy dodging
>run out of stamina
>die
>cheese him on the stairs every time i do a new run
I feel like gascoigne would fuck me up if i ever tried to fight him normally
he whiffs all his strings if you dodge once towards him, just dodge and hit his back
what stat should I raise to increase my chances of getting blood stone (to fortify weapon)?
I was making fun of "literally always dodging", like I imagined someone mashing circle for 2 minutes
There's no such stat. Blood stones just get more plentiful as you progress.
Arcane increases discovery. Discovery increases chances enemies drop items
The one I won't tell you about since you shouldn't level it unless you know what you're doin
You're gonna swim in blood stones soon enough
Dont dodge back when he is in beastform
Dodge forward
>L2: the boss, part 1
>impossible
>Laurence was harder.
What the fuck are you talking about?
>unironically beat him first try
>never actually lost to him
heh...get gud...kid...
I died once to Ludwig first playthrough, died to Laurences final phase 3 times first playthrough
finally killed him
Played the music box, when behind and charged R2 but couldn't do a visceral attack.. maybe because I was out of stamina or pressed r1 too early? but then I had 1 molotov and as expected I missed it but I managed to evade his attacks and kill him with R1 with the axe transformed
>Always make some sort of magic build in souls games
>You can't fucking do anything like that here
What
Why do people always dodge away from enemies in these games?
Because its counter intuitive to dodge towards something, thats like saying "guys why do people take their hands off a hot stove instead of just sliding their hands across it?"
lol
The first time i played i summoned three guys just running around exploring the map and getting lost. Then we all found the boss door and fucked him. He didnt even get to transform. It was basically monster hunter. Everyone desperate to get a hit in. Shit was fun.
>almost all attacks have forward momentum and combo into more
>it is counter intuitive to dodge them it instead of jumping further into it
bloodborne was designed with removing all the faggot crutch tactics in mind
hence no shields and no magic, and no armour
All you have to do is stay directly behind him. Rub up against his back and spam R1. He can't hit you.
This will fuck you up in the Rom fight when he shoots his icicles
most annoying boss in the whole game until you figure it out or look it up
Probably the most phoned in attempt at tugging heart strings From has done.
>mummy and daddy is missing :(
>I hope nothing bad happened to them it would break my little innocent heart
It's pretty obvious where it's going. There are much better tear jerker elsewhere in the game. This felt like they made the music box first then created a narrative context as an afterthought.
>Gascoigne posting almost every day
>No one even mentions this fucker
He's optional.
Well, he's DLC
I see people complain a bunch about Ludwig but I beat him on my third try and genuinely really enjoy the boss fight, I really like helping others get past it. This guy though is the only souls boss I have to summon for, and I always feel like shit about it. I should really do another run and just man up and learn how to beat him consistently.
People don't bitch about it as much though because he's so late in the game, in a DLC, and optional, and all you get for beating his fetal ass is a poem and meme weapon that requires a specific build to even work.
Gascoigne is a tougher boss. I recently platinumed the game, beat Orphan in 3 tries.
Made a new character and I can't for the life of me beat Gascoigne. He's pissing me off so hard that it's giving me mini heartattacks.
>Beat every boss in the game
>But can't beat the first
So shoot him sooner
I dunno what's with me. I also find The Last Giant to be one of the most annoying bosses in DS2.
DS1 has no tough bosses for me anymore.
Last DLC in the game makes him in a sense the last boss. Further, he's 1 of 5 genuinely hard enemies -outside the chalice dungeons- in the game and the hardest of the bunch.
>he's so late in the game
And regardless of when you come to him he'll always be a poorly balanced pain in the ass that punishes every style of play.
Do people just skip him or something?
>Gascoigne is a tougher boss
I disagree. When I used to chill with my buddy he'd pop in BB and make me play. Gascoinge was 1 go for me; a fun, balanced, good fight. Orphan is a healthbloat with a stupid second phase who I couldn't beat after 6 hours.
And I can't beat Gascoigne while I found Orphan to be quite easy. Red Riding Beard in DS3 is really similar but way tougher.
I've heard it argued on a podcast that Orphan "dosn't play by the same rules" as other enemies. Where Gascoine fights in a way similar to the player, seemingly with limited stamina, and hell even a weapon move set you can use against him, Orphan appears ti have unlimited stamina and an extremely versatile and hard to read moveset he can pull of incredibly fast.
>gael
>hard
he telegraphs every attack a week and advance and becomes extremely slow in phase 2 and 3
Not hard. Tougher.
Orphan is objectively harder with higher damage and faster more versatile moveset. you probably levelled to BL300 and used the pizza cutter
Literally parry him and don't dodge backwards
>way tougher.
Maybe if you come at him at an earlier soul level. Otherwise he's a PC-like fight with reasonably fast and telegraphed attacks which all can be dodged.
He doesn't. After the 3rd hour I noticed his first phase has a super quick stagger-reset which he follows up into a quick swing that's impossible to dodge with a 2-hander and hard with a 1-hander. In a sense he does have infinite stamina unlike a hunter fight, but unlike a monster fight his moveset is quicker then most hunters.
I did the DLC after the main game, at about level 80, and used the Holy Moonlight Sword +8 or +9 with around 40str 20skl 15arc (in other words very unoptimized) because it's such a fun weapon to use.
When I fought Gael last time I had a minmaxed build, although I was already in NG+ now that I think about it. Gael would probably have been easy too.
Both of them are easy bosses.
I literally beat him on my first try earlier today
And that was without summoning another player...
Git gud desu senpai
Thanks bruh, I'll check it out.
