>It gets good after 10 hours!
Seriously when was this statement actually valid? If the game is bad from the start its already a bad game.
It gets good after 10 hours!
>Seriously when was this statement actually valid?
When we were talking about my favorite game
FFXIV.
>adventure game is bad at the start because you have to discover new powerups and abilities to progress instead of having everything from the start
Sure, dont play it then. All is good.
Wrong. Hitman blood money's comparitvely weak intro stage is not representative of the rest of the game
>it gets bad 10 hours in
Persona 5
>If the game is bad from the start its already a bad game.
Nope
A story can unfold into something great after a certain build up, gameplay mechanics can be really complicated so you'll get the grasp of the system only after playing it for a few hours
danganronpa
>Seriously when was this statement actually valid?
It almost never is
>If the game is bad from the start its already a bad game.
Gross oversimplification. That said, no one should blame you for dropping a game if the first couple hours of it are hot garbage
>all metroidvanias ever released are automatically bad
>when has this ever been valid?
I'd say Monster Hunter but you need to bump that number far past 10 hours
It annoys me when people say this about KH2. Unironically one of my favorite parts in the game is getting to play as Roxas in the prologue at the start in the KH2 engine. Hell you get to see the Twilight Town gang and dick around with them, and fight motherfucking Twilight Thorn and Axel.
Monster Hunter
Civ
Persona games
Any fighting game takes like 20-30 hours to get good. Stop being a faggot little casual. It’s why games are designed the way they are today.
Some games require you to undergo a mindbreak. You get bum fucked for several hours, then it just clicks, and it becomes your GOAT.
My first run on Warband was like that, i just wandered around wondering why the combat is so shit, and then few hours in i got a bigger army, become buddy with a king, and suddendly i have 600 hours
I don't really remember anyone actually ever saying it in defense of a game. I tend to see people use it to bash a game and then other people start acting like people use it in defense of the game.
Not his point. Nice try though
>It’s why games are designed the way they are today.
are you telling me Super Mario, Zelda, and Tetris aren't good from the beginning?
slow Tetris is shit
>everything in game is shit except gameplay
Do people say it's bad? I've seen complains about the "tutorial" being too long but not that the game is bad until you get to control Sora.
I remember really enjoying it but then again I only played it once a long time ago
games with steep learning curves sometimes take a few hours to understand
>Seriously when was this statement actually valid?
dark souls for me
>My face when the casual filter works
Games that take hours to get rolling are great cause faggots won't play them.
this, if a game is bad since the first level then it's garbage
No? When did I imply that?
What if the first few levels are bad, but the later ones are good? Would you say the game is bad if a few of the middle levels are bad, but the rest are good?
I still rmember the faggots that said FFXIII got good after 40 whole fucking hours. Guess what? It fucking didn't.
It's a defense mechanism to invalidate your argument. Here's how it goes
>"I don't like game"
>"have you played X amount when the game actually gets good? If not then you can't talk about it"
At this point you have 2 options, either drop the game or play the X amount, if you do play the X amount this happens
>"You are retarded, if you didn't like it why did you play it?"
You basically can't win and shouldn't even try. If you don't enjoy something then don't force yourself because retards on Sup Forums say it will change eventually because it fucking won't.
That was Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for me, except the game wasn't really BAD for the first 10 hours, I just had no fucking clue what was going on. The battle system was so strange and there are way too many fucking menus and stats and charts and blade affinities and shit to go through.
Now that I get how the game works it is amazing.
Are there any games that are purposely shit at the start to stop the brainlets from playing?
