Is hunger really that big a deal? Just farm like a gazillion bread or make a red stone chicken machine.

You need to be 18 to use this website.

Did minecraft chance significantly in the last years?

I haven't played in years, but recently I checked the change logs and the new major updates have been less and less frequent.

I think the most substantial one was the revamp of the combat to make swings heavier and less spamy.

I should go back to it one day, but I have a feeling as soon as I get in my brother will want to play too.

Currently playing All the Mods 3. 1.7.10 was what I'd consider the "Golden Age", but 1.12 is gaining traction.

every one in awhile I'll fire it up in vivecraft and shit around, but notmore than a few hours every few months

I wish I had someone to play Vita Minecrafta with

>late alpha
good shit, miss 2010 minecraft.
FUCK hunger

It takes time to set up those farms, and time to harvest and process food from those farms and time to eat (which only takes a second but you're constantly doing it and having to stop what you're doing, and needing to keep an eye on hunger), time that could have been spent building/exploring. It just created an unnecessary level of micromanagement that turned the game into more of a chore, even if it's a small thing.

It also ties you down to a particular area which combined with the incredibly boring biome-based world gen makes exploring less fun as well.

I tried playing it again after watching Yoiko have so much fun playing it and I realized what made it fun was them playing it together.

So I stopped playing.

Unmodded Minecraft is not worth playing. Unfortunately, Minecraft has some of the worst mod support I've ever seen, at least for a game that has an established modding community. Forge alone has been giving me a lot of problems getting mods to work and never mind the time sink of finding the right mods to get the kind of experience you want.

I just want to turn Minecraft into a more roguelike experience. Something like Cataclysm DDA but a little more simple and relaxed.

I'm still playing on the update that was before the horses.

Haven't played in a couple of months because my computer screen broke so I need a HDMI cable to transfer my world to another harddrive. Been playing on this world for so many years now.
Minecraft is a perfect game to play while you watch anime youtubers. Both are a bit boring by themselves, but are great togeter

it just makes the game unnnecessarily tedious
it's not realistic in any way so I don't get why they decided to implement this mechanic

It was in some ways an improvement over the old eating mechanic, when you had to fill your inventory with nonstacking meat. But it's still a bad idea how they did it.

My brother and I have sunk 60 hours this week into our modded 1.10 minecraft world.
weird how we still play this game after only playing the free alpha that was available on a web browser

i prefer alpha 1.2.2

god i love those boat mechanics.

thats just straight up comfy.

Das a man

1.7.10 was good shit and had a fuck load of mods for it.1.8 fucked up biomes and made all the worlds a giant spruce forest.

Beta 1.7.3 is the last version.

Been playing on this server run by some guys on r9k called Gondolacraft. Vanilla shit and its pretty comfy. Everyone just hangs out and builds sometimes together. Good shit mang

I got a summer job teaching minecraft modding to pre-teens. Killed the game for me.

Some of them made some cool stuff though.

1.7.2 the best
even better with mods

I've got a pack I put together of all the last pixelmon release and all the compatible sidemods before they got shut down and pulled everything that I've been wanting to get into for a while, but nobody to really get into it with. One friend likes minecraft, but all he does is build autistic redstone shit. I'll build a full-on multi-story poke-mart, come back to see what he's up to, and he's got some minecart going in circles and some fuckhuge mess of blocks all to accomplish something pixelmon or one of the sidemods lets us do with just a block and a pressure plate. Another loves Pokemon battle and meta, but is too much of a lazy uncreative cunt to build anything, and gets bored waiting for my to build gyms and set up trainers for him to fight.

I just wanna hang out building GBA Pokemon inspired towns and blocky routes linking them up.

the only Sup Forums server i ever joined was torn to shreds by some tranny retard who was given admin on their first day there for some reason
fuck you, tommy

kek. I think the worst thats happened is a couple guys burned down this one guys house and left swastikas all over it cause he stole their diamonds. Everything else has been chill. Theres like 1 mod and hes super cool.

No why would it? The game stopped being in beta around 2011.

Same mechanics but tons of new biomes, blocks, mobs, and structures
