KH1 was almost certainly intended to be a one off. Squaresoft used to make a ton of quirky gems before the merger and KH just felt like another one of those

That's why it feels so complete and inclusive compared to the other games

Seriously though Sup Forums, who the fuck is the master of masters. he doesn't act like xehanort in anyway so it can't be him.

The way it is, is that in KH1 and 2 those two were artificial Kingdom Hearts. The first game's one was a Kingdom Hearts made up of world hearts that the heartless had consumed, and in the second game that one was made up of human hearts.

I think BBS's was the real one, though. It really is all bullshit and honestly I'm just along for Nomura's wild ride at this point.

Aside from Mickey, the story and disney elements are fairly separate (aside from KH1 anyway). They really just serve as world themes and aesthetics

By "old vessel" he means his old body. He sees his own body as a vessel for his heart, which he removes and forces into Terra's body for his new vessel. Xehanort is not being possessed, nor is it implied anywhere that he is.

I had to go check the Japanese cutscenes to see what Xehanort says. He doesn't use the word 体 at all, or body, so he says "vessel" or some alternative word that doesn't specifically allude to his own body. Maybe Xehanort is the pawn.

There are three (3) entities which we refer to as kingdom hearts
One is the hearts of all the world's (the world's are 'alive,' kinda.) This is the one that appears in KH1
The second the the hearts of all people. This is the one shown in KH2.
The third 'real,' original kingdom hearts is the end result of an immense clash between powerful but balanced light and dark entities.
