You have been given complete control over the ff franchise. How do you save it?
You have been given complete control over the ff franchise. How do you save it?
Remake of 11 without the MMO shit
FF15 but with girls.
Bring back the FF6 team.
Beat nomura and tabata to death.
Canceled it, FF is dead since VI.
>Return to turn-based combat similar to 10, but allow for combo attacks and rolling health bars like mother
>Enemies are visible on over world and you choose to engage them, like 13
>Progression system is based on weapons/armor, not character stats. are upgraded overtime with items or by performing certain actions
>Go cyber punk fantasy like 7-8
>OST takes inspiration from Nordic and Gaelic music
>Character-focused story
>Directed by someone not Tabata or Nomura, I would even prefer a newbie
Make it into a mobile game where you gain the party members through gacha
It contains pornographic content.
pre-ordering now
Turn based. Hire a good writer. Don't make the characters look like fags.
Bring back the job system. Blend elements of XII and The Last Remnant. Maybe airship battles somewhere in there, with customizable airships.
Make a sequel of World of Final Fantasy
Simple, let Yoko Taro direct it
>XIII
KYS
man, what a timeline that would be if this happened
>You have been given complete control over the ff franchise. How do you save it?
Give the control to someone who actually understands how to make good JRPG, the real hard work would be finding this person in the first place.
I sell the IP to myself and take it to my grave
Final Fantasy X-3
MMO with XIII's paradigms, KH command deck, and a job system
>turn based combat
>return to medieval fantasy setting
>FFX style summons
>4 strong party
give it to Yoko Taro
Return to the roots of building memorable worlds and characters like back in Squaresoft days. No more idiotic fanpandering just for the sake of it. Restrict budget so that it doesn't get blown away on endless developing and graphics whoring that won't do anyone any good anyways since the game is developed for shitty console specs.
Saved the franchise.
>return to medieval fantasy setting
We would need someone that actually knows how to direct a good game, retard.
Fire Nomura
Remake XI. By that, I mean keeping it pretty much the same but improve the UI.
For XVI, I'd have a setting similar to V combined with XIV style graphics and DMC style combat. I liked the addition of real time combat, it just needs more variety. They had the right idea with Ignus' play style. The job system also needs to return. I'd also like to see the return of GFs but with less obnoxious animations.
Cancel the FFVII remake.
I destroy it so DQ can thrive
I dig the airship battles
but he said XII
I force the Bravely team to make the game at gun point.
Put the name on Bravely Default and tell Silicon Studio to do what they did for the first four chapters and then END THE FUCKING GAME. Also get Revo back.
Make it wacky and creative again, with higher customization options. Seeing and playing all the different playthroughs of VI, VII, etc was fun. Plus all the weird ass enemy designs and bosses.
>cancel free money
FFXIII-4
If I was going to remake VII, I wouldn't make it the episodic bastardization they're getting ready to churn out.
Bring back Hironobu Sakaguchi to direct
Hire a good writer
Kill everyone that was involved with FF13
Why are DQ cucks so pathetic? Your shitty franchise was never notable.
I repeat
Kill the series, void all of the IP Square Enix owns. I wish developers just moved on when a series got bad, new IPs are always better.
Final Fantasy 6-2
>blade runner like ff game
Stop giving me good ideas
No open world. Split the story into three acts, one for each game, with each act having enough strength to be satisfactory on their own.
Combat system that builds up on KH2FM, with each character playing considerably different but up to the quality standard. Weapons types that have fully realised movesets and magic is more prevalent and dynamic.
A fair amount of costumes in case people have an alternative if the cast looks too JRPG-ish for their tastes, but no westernization beyond that.
>just fuck up my franchise further brah
No amount of free money is worth shitting all over VII.
>XVI gameplay is multi-path instead of open-world + either I-VI turn-based or full DMC cuhrazee with dozen different weapon types (from basic melee to ranged/projectile, magical and original/weird)
>VII-style aesthetic and story-direction, but with more mystery and SH-like symbolism
>IX and TA levels of character/race variety, get that sense of wonder back
>various enemies can be tamed and used as secondary allies, is a major focal point
>don't spend ten fucking years on it
>command deck
Is this the Coded combat style?
>but no westernization beyond that.
You had me until you outed youself as a pitiful weeb. What a failure of a human being..
>Truly open world, not two bland regions and a literal railroad
>High-magic fantasy setting with diesel/steam/iron/stone towns
>Optional summon bossfights in remote regions
>Four nameless heroes of light
>Choose class every level (I.e White mage 14, Black mage 33, Blue mage 9, Character level 56). Each class level ups that classes abilities damage/unlocks more abilities at thresholds
>Class specific weapons and armors found in the overworld/dungeons/shops
>ACTUAL FUCKING TOWNS AND CITIES
>Meaningful side content
>Superbosses
>Pseudo-ARPG combat
>Weapon/armor customization (Effects, stats)
>Collectible resources from mobs and environment
>proper goddamned dungeons
>Nomura on mob design, AND NOTHING ELSE
>Me as director.
Franchise saved
get the bravely default team to make FFXVI and make it multiplat (with the game designed with the switch in mind)
that's literally it, i'm confident that combination will sell gangbusters
>make FFXV again and make it a even shittier trilogy than XIII
A monk, a thief and a black mage walk into a bar.
i remake ff8 in the ff13 engine.
Hire Yasumi Matsuno
Bravely Default 1 was a really shitty and barebones game. I don't think they have the knowhow to make a game with the scope of Final Fantasy.
More than likely they just don't have the budget.
By going back to what made the classics good but build upon it so it fits current era.
The game will be using Luminous Studio same engine as ff15.
Director:Yoko taro
Composers: Yoko shimomura and keiichi okabe
Story: Simple chase the bad guy, save the world, go on a world journey to complete it.
Combat: Will not be turn based, instead it will allow you to instantly swap between party members in combat, magic is infused in rare gems which is highly valuable so thats a reason for no normie shitter to possess them. Your mana limits how many times you can cast a spell and you're restricted to how many mana pots you can carry to balance it out.
Summons can be cast everything while in action you will call forth beings to aid you in battle, they will appear in real time. Cutscenes only for those that come down from the sky/space they are also limited by mana, the higher the summon the higher mana cost. So you can spam the same summon in a fight if you want.
Limitbreakers would still be there.
No irrelevant sidequests, its either related to the mainstory by either telling the story of some of the side characters or parts of the world. Cases being like yuffie in ff7,vincent and shinra manor with cloud and zack.
Its pretty much ff7.
>>Pseudo-ARPG combat
This has NEVER EVER worked.
I said that to avoid the trends people adapt to make the games appeal more to the west, i.e. making the game more like Skyrim and other big hits like that.
I believe trilogies have potential, but you really have dedicate yourself to it. It also gives time to build up on it, both through its storytelling and gameplay systems, to make the climax as good as it could possibly be. By splitting the game you have more time to give it and iron everything out.
This, god damn it this!
This. This is all I want.
Vana'diel is a fucking great setting. Also, bring back turn based combat, but make it speedier. Cut down on long animations and battle cutscenes. Give it Bravely default speed controls and on overworld enemies.
If you return-to-live with Turn based combat, you're going to lose 70% of your potential audience.
Twelves combat without the near-pointless menus and ATB would be ideal.
You could practically smell the hot dogs
Make Versus XIII
DMC with magic and a job system. Open world or world map, I don't care as long as it's not another fucking corridor simulator.
You haven't the slightest clue how to run a company.
So you mean make something akin to Xenoblade?
>Twelves combat without the near-pointless menus and ATB would be ideal
I love XII but I know what you mean. There should've been a smoother way to implement the interface. Even just being able to configure individual Gambits on the fly without having to open up all the way to the menu screen would've helped immensely.
Do something to keep XI alive for as long as possible. Even if it means "remastering" it. I don't want it to die.
Go back to a setting like 6's, fantasy with magitech
Use and expand on 12's combat
Retard
>make FFXV again
To go back to this, more or less, yes. I'd like to show that the company can do a game proper in the style it was promised before going back to turn based and another styles. That way you clean up your name instead of looking like you're running away, FFXV is a very low note to leave action FFs in.
Remaster and re-balance it into a single player experience with 12's combat system for a full party.
>People are suddenly praising 12's combat system
But why? It was so hated at launch.
Fire Nomura and Tabata. Put Chiba in charge of subsequent games.
How hard is it to implement "attack" as X press and holding circle opens a shortcut menu mapped to your triggers and E-paid for abilities and spells? They could even put the cooldown counts/mana dependency in the menu.
I agree with the re-balance bit, but literally the only other things I would change about XI are the menus, map and quest management.
>E-paid
D-pad. Phoneposting
These niggas get it.
>suddenly
Its nothing new. And besides, even with the combat's flaws, there was definitely potential there. XII was rough around the edges and needs a new game to really fine tune its systems.
Give it to Monolith Soft.
FF7,8,9 remakes
A new FF game based on FF12
That was easy
My guess is the development cycle was so fucked they just slapped what they could on the game and called it a day.
Port it to switch
People who played it when they were young are old enough to post here now
Bring back Lightning!
A multi-platform FFI - VI collection with accurate translations. No fancy graphical updates, just the original games as they were when they were originally released. Maybe do something similar for the PS1 trilogy as well.
By ending the series. when you get into double digits for franchise you know you will be beating a dead horse.
I all seriousness Action RPG with the job system, So kinda like FF Explorers expect not bad monster hunter game. A flushed out story with well written characters. 15 did a good job making the characters seem like actual people so do that but give us good characters next time.
The most wrong choice in this thread.
>a very low note to leave action FFs in
They had such a good name before, after Dirge of Cerberus.
>action FFs
Didn't exist in the mainline until XV, they can be safely disregarded for future plans.
Everyone's a Red Mage.
Make a great final fantasy tactics game.
Remove 13 from all possible canon.
Especially Lightning with her boring ass body and splintered plywood personality.
>Everyone is a mage
Fixed. Make Final Fantasy's take on Magicka
FFXV already did this and it sucked ass
Bland, Boring forgettable female Cloud clone that also a meteorological based name. Pass
>when you get into double digits for franchise you know you will be beating a dead horse.
Mario and Zelda just had their highest rated games in a decade released last year. The amount of games isn't an issue. Especially with how divorced the series is from its initial designs.
>XV
You sure? XV had the shittiest magic of any FF ever, elemental grenades. Magicka is about more than making magic deal friendly fire.
15 sucks, but not because of that.
You mix elements and items freely to create all sorts of effects, in addition to them being friendly fire grenades.
Plot that makes sense.
Job System
Fantasy setting with HINTS of cybertech/futuristic tech a la 1, 4, or 9.
ATB with positioning system. Something sort of similar to Radiant Historia.
Memorable main characters.
Ton of focus on at least three villain/rival type or characters that get plenty of screen time. No more of the "here's two minutes of exposition as to why I matter oh and now I'm dead" like FF13 and 15 were full of.
I thought the idea was solid, but severely lacked variety.
