Gameplay is weird. You move on a rail by holding a button. The rest of it is aim a cursor and shoot. Definitely worth playing if you have not, but the gameplay is very unconventional

Killer 7 is Suda's best game.

Somehow the plot wasn't SO outlandish that it was unbelievable and the game play was pretty good. Plus I like the overall dark atmosphere the entire game had.

Depends on what you mean by success.
Kojima definitely has wider acclaim, and hobnobs with celebrities more than most devs, but he's also gotten himself into serious shit, and has a hatebase as big as, if not bigger than, his obnoxious fanbase. You can also tell that the MGS games weren't always made with love, he had a lot of hangups about the franchise.
Suda isn't nearly as popular, but he is consistent in the work and love he puts into his games, and is willing to work on licensed stuff to get the grift for his personal works. It's just my perspective, but people are always happy when something is in the pipe with Suda, there's no eye-rolling or hatedom that comes for him, and he gets consistent respect from other developers. Plus, he has no drama on his record and even if his games aren't great, he keeps experimenting.
I also met the guy at PAX East two years ago, absolute gem of a man, so I am a little biased.

Only a little bit. He had a guy with him who translated everything I was gushing at him to Japanese, then he thanked me in a little English very enthusiastically and we got pictures together.

I don't think Suda will ever top this. As a piece of storytelling it's got everything you want from him and more, and it's actually fun to play. Did anyone else think KILLER IS DEAD is directly related to K7? I couldn't help but think the characters in that exist on the same plane as Harman and Kun Lan.

the first NMH is awful close. It's art as fuck.

People like to say NMH2 is better but it's completely lacking the suda touch, the combat is faster and more freeform but it lacks the deliberate tightness that 1 felt like it had, it's too mashy. Too cool, even.

Killer is Dead could be directly related to the Teletubbies, the whole story is the main character not caring about the story.
