5 had great gameplay, at least as great as it can be. It'll never return to Halo CE. As far as story goes, they need to hire someone like Staten to direct. They've found a good place for their characters, even the ones they wanted to push to the forefront like Lasky and Palmer, I don't even mind Osiris that much, seeing as how they got shit on by Blue.

You've misunderstood. Halo Reach forge world was a good tool for map creation, but as a result it spawned it spawned endless officially created forge maps in place of actually new content. Reach's multiplayer quickly became nothing but gray and blue blocks in symmetrical arenas in every game mode with actually designed maps almost disappearing.
Because Halo 5 fucking died almost as fast as Halo 4.
