Played Fallout 2 multiple times but never played the original. I fear that I might be disappointed, so I left the original legacy untouched....

I played a shit ton of New vegas and a little bit of 3. I really liked new vegas, and I want to see what the original 2 are like. What are they like? What's the location they both take place?

They're basically the same game, both are excellent. If you liked 2 you'll like 1

Fallout 2, sulik, melee, gauss rifle/p90 burst, adv power armor for sho, smallguns or melee exclusive and fuck diplomacy.

They are turn-based cRPGs, both take place in southwest US like New Vegas. Try them out, both versions on Steam come with widescreen fixes and such now.

Depends i started at 1 and i was okayish overall and 8/10 at rpg but once 2 hit the stores and my cdrom shit beats the first out. Took me some time to digest and like tactics tho.

Tactics just wasn't very good. It was missing most of the things that made fallouts good and wasn't even a very good game in its own genre - Xcom and Jagged alliance were around for ages and did everything better.

While F2 one of my favorite games ever, i played F1 only until when you steal water chip... It was just... boring.

Agi needs to be 8 or 10.

Fallout 1 has the best main quest of all Fallout games so you're missing out

Depends on if you wanna roleplay or make a powerful character. If you wanna go for the second, tagging gambling is kinda useless since you get plenty of money from other sources anyway and you can just save scum to get better results. Also CHA is nearly useless in-game as it just boosts Speech and Barter and nothing else, you can set it to 1 and level Speech and Barter with your skill points.

Moat importantly, set AGI to 10. Action points are the most relevant thing in any battle.

Started a diplomatic run for F2 but everyone and their wifes son are kicking my ass. I can't believe I'm looking forward to get sulik in my team.
