About to start Dragon Age for the first time, which Gender/Class/Background is the most fun? Also are the sequels worth playing at all?

This game is so similar to Drakensang, but with more drama.

Male Dwarf Noble

i prefered i think city elf female, because everyone is racist against you and you get raped at the start

Glorious Human master race for dominating everyone. Elf if you want to whine constantly about "muh slavery". Dwarf if you want to curb stomp everything as a warrior.

i found dragon age 2 to be one of the most disappointing sequels i have ever played in my life. never tried inquisition though.

gender doesnt matter

Dwarf Royal was also my favorite starting story, its interesting as fuck, it truly makes you feel great.

I ended up playing as morrigan and ignoring my MC because I found it easier to win battles fast
You probably dont want 2 battle mages on the party and dont want to dont have morrigan on the party because she is best girl so I guess anything is fine
I picked a female assasin elf or something like that because I downloaded a repack with nudemods installed

Dwarf Noble is the most interesting Race/Background but you're probably going to spend 90% of your time in combat microing your mage

Noble human female in whatever class you want.
Make sure one of your mages learns Mana Clash.

Don't bother. It's offline WoW.

Dwarf Noble is the best origin. Mages are OP but dwarves can't be mages so a good supplementary build might be a dual-wield rogue (assassin/bard specialization).

Gender vise mayhaps male, if for no other reason for Morrigan.
In my experience classes are: mage>rogue>warrior
Mages are so overpowered in DAO its just ridiculous, especially if you go the arcane warrior/blood mage route.
If you go rogue you should go for melee, forget archery, its useles in the base game, though in awekening it becomes pretty strong as well.
As far as the origins go: female city elf, male dwarf noble, and human noble are the better ones. The mage and dwarf commoner are bland, while the dalish is downright shit, though later on in the franchise (Inquisition) it becomes somewhat important.
As for the sequels: both are a stepdown compared to DAO. Expect nothing from DA2, and you maybe will have a pleasent time. DAI got its better moments but they are few and far between, and some of the better parts of the story are in its DLCs.

Human mage is my personal favorite for the whole game but elf commoner origin or whatever is a very interesting game by itself.

Dalish elf (unsure of gender) is apparently the 'canon' choice. But I personally think dwarf Noble warrior is the best.

Noble human female will get you the best ending if you play your cards right.

...

And play him as snobby as possible.

the best without a doubt, shit is fun

Dragon Age 2 is good if you pay less than $10 for it and play as a dyke, bitchy Hawke by the way.

Male dwarf Noble or female City elf.2nd game is dog shit. If you really just wanna kill time the 3rd one isn't a complete travesty.

Play as a mage its much more fun than other classes, race doesn't really matter much though

Human noble if you want to make some major political moves in the endgame, it also adds a pretty cool personal revenge plot for one of the main antagonists as well as making your relationship with a companion in awakening more interesting

>personal revenge plot
There's no difference between Howe's confrontation with human noble and any of the other Origins except two or three lines of dialogue where he calls you a fag and says he made your mother kiss his boot before he killed her

All the other origins get a lot more out of meeting the people they left behind

>romance Zevran, Alistair and Leliana and fuck them
>dump Alistair and Zevran
>harden Leliana
>have a threesome with Leliana and Isabella, causing Oghren to faint
>become Alistair's wife in a political marriage and, more importantly, Queen
>fuck him all night every night for heirs and do it a lot since you're both Wardens who're borderline infertile
>keep Leliana as your mistress on the side
>impregnate Morrigan with your futa duck if you have the right mod installed

>romancing Zevran

>not liking having an elven fucktoy for a while

you wanna be a god, destroyer of Worlds? be a mage.

you can eke a little entertainment out of 2 if you pretend it's a parody
the encounters fucking suck but the combat itself is pretty serviceable

Play a human noble warrior that conquers Morrigan's heart aka. play canon

to be fair, the game was ok considering they made it in 14 months. it was suppose to be an expansion of the first game and not a sequal.

you might as well make your PC a mage in general, you're going to be spending most of your time in combat playing as one regardless.

mage best class
human noble best origin
cant do both FUCK bioware

canon for origins was an edgy female wood elf rogue

citation needed

I do not think so. Also
>Elves getting anything done
kek

The only canon is that Alistair becomes king

I liked the female city elf origin best.

dies*

My top 3 are City Elf Female, Dwarf Noble and Human Noble

2 is shit, though I can't complain much since it was the first one I played in the series. The combat is ass, the encounters are ass and the game's only redeeming feature is playing as a snarky female mage, then at least the game feels like a fantasy sitcom.

Inquisition is ok. It ain't great but isn't as bad as others would make you believe. Bland story with better combat than 2. The Trespasser DLC kinda saves the game

I prefer going human noble, because I wouldn't think of Morrigan being able to stomach fucking a hairy midget

Played the game for some 600 or so hours and never once played dwarf origin. Since I'm a faggot that only ever play girls in rpg's I just can't play as a dwarf since dwarf female looks pretty disgusting in origins.

This

Inquisition is very pretty but as an rpg, it makes Dragon's Age 2 great in comparison.

With the right setup, dual wield backstab rogue can outdps everything pretty easily.
But dps doesn't matter in this game, is all about abusing freezing and crushing them for insta-deaths

female mage elf
>everyone hates mages
>everyone hates elves
>kick everyones ass
>?
>profit

That's if you are facing fat sacks of HP. The thing is, even at the highest difficulty, normal enemies die to fire ball and the like outright (in addition to being knocked back), and yellow elites are quite easily comboed as well in time that it would take for the rogue to run in range (or controlled with crushing prison or whatever). Moreover, bosses like high dragons tend throw melee around, increasing the healing burden if you have any other melee but the tank, and reducing DPS time.

In pure single target DPS on paper, a rogue is unmatched, yes. However, the way the game is balanced, in practice a mage would do substantially more damage all the while offering control and not getting in the harm's way.

City elf female rouge, Go full racist bitch on everybody for the banter its hilarous.
>king comes in and greets me saying how its nice to see somebody from the city
>immidetly say that your sister was raped by his regents son.
>king spills spaghetti all over the place.

If not that Mage is by far the best class and one of the best origins.
Human noble is very Game of Thrones but tasteful and gives you a good character push if you're into that. Even more fun if you go hyper religious King Arthur mode.

Dragon Age origins seems kind of overhyped for me.
I played it a year ago and I don't understand why it gets praised so much.

The backgrounds are all kind of bleh.
The only one that feels kind of connected is the human noble one.

I also don't understand why DA2 gets so much shit.
I actually though it was better than the first.
It's still mediocre but not as bad as people pretend it is.

Haven't played 3 since I have no further interest in a series this mediocre.

>Go full racist bitch on everybody for the banter its hilarous.
Telling TopLel to check her privilege was hilarious

Dalish elf rouge, go bow because at mid/endgame it ends up next to mage in terms of broken power.
It also lets you talk shit to dwarfs and humans while being a smug faggot.

>don't harden Alistair
>make him rule alone
>be named chancellor as a boon
>be a blood mage and the actual ruler of Ferelden
It's Tevinter time.
